Lovely barn conversion in a complex of 5.
Very well decorated and well appointed with lovely countryside views. Tea, coffee and sugar available on arrival. Extremely clean and having two ensuites was ideal for our party. Parking was right outside the door. Ideal location for visiting Shrewsbury, Ellesmere, Whitchuch and Wem with nice pubs nearby. The turn off onto the little lane was not very well sign posted so we drove past at first. The owners very quickly resolved a slight issue we had with the low heating. Could do with extra pillows, We have two each at home but only one provided. To be fair, we never asked the owners for extra ones. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at Chestnut Barn and would recommend to others.
What a find!
A splendid property, part of a small complex of tastefully converted dairy buildings in the middle of, if not nowhere, certainly the most uber-rural of North Shropshire, appending the Welsh border. Once inside, all mod cons reappear and the luxury begins.
What a pleasure to stay at Chestnut Barn, the charm of the place really stands out from the moment you arrive.
Every corner is thoughtfully decorated, and the well equipped kitchen has everything you need to make that evening meal, after a busy day out exploring the area. The fully enclosed garden was a bonus for our dog as he loves to be outside and we could just leave the doors open and let him do his thing. The beds were so comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms were well laid out and spacious. It's evident that a lot of love has gone into making Chestnut Barn a special spot, and we can't wait to come back for another visit!
