    The cottage was cozy and comfortable. There was a private outside area which unfortunately we were unable to use because of the weather but would have been nice if the weather was good.

  • "A delightful cottage with everything you could want."

    Use of garden was a bonus for my granddaughter. Beds very comfy. The owners were very nice and approachable but we wanted for nothing.

The property

Nestled on the outskirts of Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, is this pretty detached cottage, Little Walton.

Enjoying a prime position within easy walking distance of the beach, tennis club, shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as within driving distance of the Mendip Hills AONB, Little Walton is a wonderful dwelling for couples or a family of four.

Park-up on the driveway before stepping into your new home-from-home.

Look forward to whipping up flavourful meals in the well-equipped kitchen, ready to enjoy at the dining table for four or alfresco out on your private patio.

The little ones can also enjoy playing on the owner’s large, lawned garden.

As the evening cools, retire to the light-filled sitting room/conservatory, where you can snuggle up with your favourite tipple in front of the TV.

Pour in the bubbles and enjoy a soothing soak in the p-shaped bath or freshen up with a hot shower, before choosing from two well-appointed bedrooms to catch your rest in, a king-size which can be found on the ground-floor and a twin.

Explore the local town, where you will find a fantastic selection of pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways, ideal for those evening’s when you don’t feel like cooking.

Pack-up your towels, buckets and spades and head straight for the golden sands of Burnham-on-Sea beach; here you can build sandcastles with the little ones or enjoy the amusements along the pier.

Other attractions within the town include the popular Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park, where keen anglers can indulge in a spot of fishing, the excellent Burnham and Berrow Golf Club and the historic 19th-century Burnham-on-Sea Lighthouse.

Head over to nearby Brean, where you will find the fascinating Wreck of the SS Nornen, as well as the delightful Brean Splash Waterpark and Animal Farm Adventure Park for a fun-filled family day out.

Little Walton has easy access to the motorway, which allows easy access to the poplar town of Weston-super-Mare which is peppered with amusements and its thriving Grand Pier, Cheddar where you can embark on a scenic walk through the famed Cheddar Gorge or try your hand at watersports at the Cheddar Reservoir.

The town of Burnham-on-Sea is conveniently situated just minutes from the M5; it's an ideal touring base from which to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside and its famous attractions. It has something for everyone, including seven miles of unspoilt sandy beaches, sailing, fishing and donkey rides, a theatre, cinema, swimming pool and sports academy, gardens, bi-annual food and drink festival, live music, Guy Fawkes carnival, and a 36 hole championship golf course. The famous Cheddar Caves and Gorge, with amazing clifftop walks, are within easy reach, as are historic Wells, England's smallest city with its beautiful cathedral, Glastonbury, with its mystical connections to King Arthur is central to the Avalon marshes, one of the largest lowland wetlands in the UK, a complex landscape teeming with wildlife.
