Description
This delightful detached single-storey barn conversion has an open plan living area, double bedroom and bathroom.
The wide doorways and laminated wooden floors throughout make it ideal for wheelchair users, and the bathroom has a shower with seat and handrails making it easier to use for the less able.
There is one sofa and 2 reclining chairs both faux leather, and modern furnishings, giving a welcoming feel and the wonderful countryside views give a sense of peace and relaxation.

Wonderful accomodation, especially for the less mobile.
Recliner sofa was so comfy, as was the bed with lots of space around it and an excellent shower room with grab bar and shower stool. Everywhere was spotless on arrival with a delicious cream tea to welcome us, couldn't ask for more. Owner was very attentive, friendly and helpful; the property has an enclosed garden and owner advised of a bridle path through their farm which we walked in both directions. Excellent base to explore Somerset and the whole of Devon, perhaps even Cornwall although we didn't venture quite that far, visited Taunton, Cheddar Gorge (highly recommend), Weston-Super-Mare, Torquay, Bovey Tracey, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Appledore (our favourite place!) and Westward Ho! All in all an excellent week of exploring as well as relaxing, just perfect for us, felt right at home the moment we stepped through the door and would definitely return.

The property is perfect for someone in a wheelchair and the bathroom is very good, the shower was brilliant to use being disabled.
The working Farm was lovely to see and the owners are very nice and friendly and are happy to chat with. Thankyou for a wonderful holiday and hopefully will be going back and taking our border collie.

Jacks Nest is beautiful and spotlessly clean and one of the best cottages that I have stayed in.
The settees and bed are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing my own meals. There are wonderful views across the countryside and lovely walks along quiet lanes. Elaine (the owner) is a lovely lady and has been very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this cottage and would be more than happy to stay there again.

Elaine couldn’t have been more welcoming, there was milk in the fridge and home made cakes.
She came up and greeted us in person and gave us lots of suggestions for dog friendly pubs. The cottage itself had everything you could need and plenty more. It was warm and cosy with a lovely comfy bed and sofas. The garden was safe and secure for dogs and they even moved some sheep so our dog could have a field to run in. Lots of local information and attractions leaflets for ideas of what to do in the area. It was exactly as advertised we had a fantastic weekend. Elaine and Michael are the perfect hosts, we definitely recommend it.

Lovely setting, very nice couple, who were helpful and full of great local knowledge.
Nothing was to much trouble and the countryside around was to die for. We have never been more relaxed, 2 weeks wasn't enough and then there was Ben, such a wonderful old chap.

Fabulous holiday cottage in a beautiful location.
The cottage is spacious and very comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing break. The enclosed garden was perfect for our elderly dog and has stunning views over the countryside. We enjoyed watching the activities on the farm in the mornings. Elaine and Michael are very welcoming hosts. So peaceful and relaxing we didn’t want to leave!

Jack’s Nest was a mini home from home.
We loved the reclining chairs, something seldom found in holiday cottages but so lovely for arthritic legs! The surroundings were peaceful and calming, even having other holiday accommodation close by did not alter this. Elaine was very welcoming and friendly and the cream tea that met us on our arrival was a lovely touch and much appreciated - thank you. Our week passed far too quickly ☹️

Nicely appointed accommodation with everything required available.
Lovely hosts who were very friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Had a cream tea awaiting on arrival which much appreciated after a long journey. Just one small suggestion, a small chiminea would supply outside heat and cooking ability when sitting in garden of an evening instead of the small kettle BBQ. This is not a major thing however and does not detract from accommodation in beautiful surroundings and for which my wife and I are looking forward to going back again.

Had a lovely stay at Jack's Nest.
Very remote, beautiful surroundings. Elaine was a wonderful host, very friendly. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very spacious for the two of us and our dog. The little private garden was great with lovely views and very secure for the dog. The only minor (and they are very minor) negatives are that the bed wasn't the most comfortable and the duvet was far too hot for the lovely weather we had. The fridge never got very cold despite us turning it right up and probably needs replacing. We had an amazing time and would definitely return in the future.

, exactly as listed, a great place to relax and unwind It would however benefit from a smart TV, luckily I brought a Firestick with me, I guess not crucial if you are out all day and night, but handy if you just want a day or so of staying in. the internet was adequate. Host very helpful and welcoming, and helpful with any queries regarding the local area A great place to explore and come back to relax and enjoy the quite and admire the view . a credit to Elaine and Michael

It is near to a wealth of interesting and beautiful places to explore. The hosts, Michael and Elaine as well as Ben are friendly and welcoming and keen to help and offer advice on things to do and dee in north Devon.

We had a fabulous stay at Jacks Nest.
The accommodation is superb, surroundings peaceful and the added benefit of a stunning open field for our pup to play in ticked every box for us. It was such a pleasure to stay at Jack’s Nest - it was the perfect retreat to relax and get away for a week.
Elaine was very friendly and welcoming and the cottage was spotless, and had everything we needed. Levi our dog had a wonderful time and we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wanted a farm based retreat away from the crowds but still close enough to get out and about to visit local towns and villages as well as some beaches. We were met on arrival by Elaine and benny the dog, and Elaine could not have been more helpful with places to visit.
The cottage was very clean, warm and welcoming, with a cream tea waiting, this was an amazing touch. The cottage felt like a home from home and we be very happy to stay here again. We will be spreading the word about our stay as we loved it. Elaine, Michael and benny keep doing what you’re doing!

My husband and myself had a fantastic week at this cottage, it was very relaxing the cleanliness was second to none Elaine and Michael couldn't have been mor accommodating.

Jacks Nest was the perfect accommodation for me,I loved the setting and it was lovely to sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine and relax after a day out.
The cottage is very well equipped and clean and Elaine was the perfect host,even contacting me after I had left to inform me that I had left an item of clothing and arranging for me to collect it. I would certainly stay here again in the future.

The cottage was as described by Sykes and was very clean.
It was very well equipped. The only thing that might be helpful to less mobile guests would be hand rails in the shower and toilet areas. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Elaine and Michael the owners were great.
They were friendly, welcoming and left us a lovely cream tea on arrival. The cottage itself was much bigger than it looked in the photos and the wet room was just ideal. I use a wheelchair and I have to say that the accessible area was the best I have had in any holiday home. Both entrys easily gained. Everything you need is here in this cottage, together with the beautiful location. What more do you want? We will be coming back as soon as possible.

The cottage was just perfect in the perfect location.
Elaine gave me a warm welcome as did Ben the sheepdog. There was a lovely cream tea on arrival. The cottage was home from home, everything had been thought of and there was every comfort. The fully enclosed garden was perfect for Toffee, my dog. We enjoyed various walks from the door. It was a lovely relaxing holiday and so nice to park the car, unpack it and forget it. I highly recommend a stay here.
Lovely little cottage, lovely hosts, enjoyed our stay very much and will return if we visit Devon again

Jack's nest was absolutely beautiful.
Everything we want wanted and more. On arrival we were greeted with tea, coffee, scones, jam and clotted cream. The owners of the cottage were a wonderful couple and they couldn't do enough for us. The cottage is ideally situated on a working farm with lovely views. We had a lovely week there with prefect weather and my two springer spaniels had loads of fun. Highly recommend.
Jack's Nest was the perfect place for a quiet relaxing holiday.
The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and Michael and Elaine and Ben (the collie) made me feel very welcome. The cottage was well located to visit Exmoor, MInehead, Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Bideford. There is a dog-friendly beach at Saunton Sands, north of Barnstaple, which has miles of sandy beach to explore off the lead.

Friendly owners on hand. My wife got to cuddle a new born lamb which she had wanted to do for years!!

Elaine the owner was very friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed the cream tea she provided. Nothing was too much trouble and the cottage was outstanding with lovely views. Ben the sheepdog was very entertaining.

there was everything we could possibly need in the cottage, it is a real home from home we were sorry to leave.

They were very friendly and welcoming. The homemade cream tea on arrival was a delightful extra touch. They also checked throughout the week that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. The outdoor space was fully enclosed and perfect for our dogs. It’s very well positioned to go out and about to see lots of local sites. Hopefully we will be able to have a return visit. Would not hesitate to recommend this property.
Would definitely recommend Jack's Nest if you want a peaceful get away from it all holiday, comfortable cottage with everything you need, attentive hosts but not in your face, great location for exploring Devon.
Elaine & Michael Cole were excellent hosts, A lovely Devon cream tea was ready on our arrival,the cottage was in an idyllic location,very quiet & peaceful, everything could not have been better.

The owners Michele & Elaine was very welcoming and made sure you had a perfect holiday there was lots of information in the cottage on were to visit in the area we went to Dunster Castle ,Minehead ,Arlington Court but the views from the cottage was fantastic we got snowed in while there Michele and Elaine made sure we was cared for Elaine brought us a flask of homemade soup which was delicous.
They took time out from the lambing to look after us and with being snowed in kept us informed of the situation until we could leave the cottage safely and guided us up the hill from the farm Michele & Elaine a big thank you from Pete and Lynda Hope the lambs are well
