  • "Double bed was stained from top cover, sheet, protector through to the mattress was heavily stained with what looked and smelt like urine and covered in hairs so much that we had to sleep on the settee the first night and purchase a complete bedding set the next day."

Under the bed in bags and in wardrobe drawers was used dirty bedding. TV in lounge faulty, DVD player did not work, TV in bedroom did not work. Oven, grill, cutlery and crockery all needed to be cleaned before use. No washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand soap or toilets rolls in the caravan, had to purchase. Would not recommend, all in all disgraceful.

  • "I would not stay here again !"

We had trouble getting on site as they couldn’t find our booking at security . When we finally got in the caravan had not been cleaned , dirty bobbly double bedding , dirty floor and sofas . The bathroom -shower base was dirty , I had to clean everything , we did not sleep in the bed only on top of it . We have a dog but do not want to get in bed with other peoples dog hairs in . All the crockery was stained so practically everything had to be cleaned . Inside the toaster and grill in the oven was dirty ! , I have been on Haven sites before paid a lot less to them and got a lovely caravan , my family booked through Haven on the same site as us and there’s were lovely . If you need to get in touch with Sykes they don’t get back to you on what’s app for days . Haven couldn’t help us as not booked through them , so if we had an emergency we’d be stuck as it’s a private owner . Sykes sent them an email and no reply . If you want to go to this haven site in watchet book directly with them not through Sykes . And finally if you have a dog do not expect to be able to get food on the app or eat/ drink in the designated areas after 8 pm through the week and 8.40pm on a weekend . We’ve had many holidays through Sykes and the accommodation as been lovely, but never booking this one again !!!!

  • "We were disappointed with the caravan which appeared very tired."

It was definitely not up to the usual standard we expect from a Sykes property. The initial impression was one of make do! The cover on the duvet was crumpled giving an impression of unkempt. We take our own bedding thankfully. The dog blankets were on a pile on the floor. There was no welcome. There was no file with local information or emergency contacts. There was no mention in the information about having to pay £53 per head for entertainment passes. The kitchen equipment was limited, no grater, no serving dishes. There were about a dozen sheets of toilet paper left on a roll if that! The TV needed constant returning as it kept pixelating and received only a limited amount of stations. The one in the bedroom didn't work at all. The towels provided were nice. We have used Sykes properties many times and this stands out as the most disappointing.
