Ideal for couples seeking a romantic countryside escape, this characterful retreat offers a cosy base with charming outdoor features and easy access to local attractions.
Step inside to discover a welcoming living room, complete with a woodburning stove and comfortable seating—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The compact kitchen area includes a drinks cooler and kettle, while outside, guests can enjoy cooking with the barbecue, making the most of alfresco dining in warmer months.
A shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC completes the interior.
The property features one double bed, accessed via a ladder, making it a quirky and intimate space for two.
Please note, this layout is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
WiFi is available throughout, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included to ensure a comfortable stay.
Outside, guests can unwind in the enclosed rear lawn and decking area, furnished with seating, a barbecue, pizza oven and even an outdoor fridge—ideal for summer evenings under the stars.

Had a wonderful stay at the Bothy!
Literally a stones throw away from the beautiful Stourhead estate. The location was perfect for dog walking, our two loved the woodland walks at six wells which was very close to the property. Sophie & Dan made us feel welcome and gave us free run of the lovely spacious garden, which the dogs loved. The bothy was clean and comfortable, indoor facilities were minimal, a wood burning stove, a working shower and basic kettle & toaster setup. One small negative was the lack of anywhere to put clothes, no hangers or wardrobe etc.. I guess most weekend visitors would be happy living out of a suitcase, however staying for longer periods could prove challenging. There are no cooking facilities inside the Bothy, there’s a BBQ and pizza oven in the outdoor kitchen area with a drinks cooler/chiller for storing your food & drink etc. We visited in October… so al fresco dining was a little chilly.. An addition of a covered outdoor kitchen area with stove & sink space would have been a useful addition to the accommodation, but if you’re used to camping/glamping.. you won’t struggle. Overall we had a lovely week at the Bothy.. there was plenty of wood for the stove and the location was perfect. This is a lovely spot for a romantic weekend away with country walks on the doorstep and quirky fun accommodation to make the experience memorable. Value for money and location means we will certainly return to the Bothy.
