We had a lovely 5 day stay at Melita during some hot days in July.

Extra room fans were provided but we didn't need to use them as window ventilation was more than adequate. The bungalow was nice and airy with plenty of curtains and blinds to keep cool when needed. There's a secure garden which we and our dog loved with plenty of seating areas to move around with the preferred shade or sun. The owners have thought of everything we could need which was evident by studying the property photos and enabled us to pack lightly as I usually bring everything I can think of. Amongst the features we especially enjoyed were the welcome pack, range of games and reading matter, comfy bed, well thought out kitchen provisions and the very dog friendly atmosphere. We also enjoyed exploring the local area on our dog walks taking in the local architecture. We visited and can recommend Langport, Illminster, Somerton and even ventured to a busy Lyme Regis to dodge the brazen gulls stealing ice creams! As a National Trust employee and fan, I was eager to visit Barrington Court which proved to have a lovely picnic area and small cafe along with dog walks without even going into the property. Inside the estate is a must for historic house and garden fans. Great communication from the owners and a big thank you from us for providing a lovely place to stay.
