Really basic No amenities

Absolutely fabulous place and good location.

It had all the facilities & equipment that you would need. Secure garden & easy parking in the street outside. Having the pub just up the road was also a plus. The road is very steep and there are steps up to the property and so it may not be suitable for everyone. However, we had a wonderful time and found the place very comfortable. Thank you

This is our third stay at Exmoor view.

The house is always well equipped, facilities are good and beds comfortable! The welcome gifts are always a lovely touch. The property is perfect to explore much of Devon and the national parks. The house could do with a little bit of TLC aesthetically but that’s a minor point! Thank you for a great stay!

Comfortable stay, had all the things you required for a holiday.

Could do with a lick of paint inside. The outside definitely needs some TLC just by tidying up the pavements and seating area would have been more appealing. The walk to the pub (The Poltimore Inn) is uphill but worth the walk very friendly and food was lovely (dog friendly in Bar and Snug) there is a beer garden and they are in the process of building outdoor terrace. Overall an enjoyable stay.

great location. fully equipped. The wine and after 8s was a lovely extra touch. So light clean and airy, all in all a lovely stay. I know that some people find the parking difficult with a wall to the raised footpath level, just be prepared and park close, you do get use to it. We knew in advance as we have stayed locally before. The community village shop is an amazing addition to the village, although South Molton is not far for most things. (Great pannier market Thus & Sat) Thanks for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay here,the house was brilliant couldn't fault anything.

The only downside like the owners have previously stated the high kerb on the road where you park,opening your car door be very careful.

Lovely cottage and very clean The mattress on the double bed to the left of the stairs needs replacing as was not comfortable and the springs were protruding

Very nice house in a good location for exploring North Devon.

A bottle of wine and chocolates was nice on arrival. The House is lovely but really needs a thorough clean, not just a quick wipe over. The mattress needs replacing on one of the double beds and the microwave is rusty inside and unpleasant. There was mould around the shower hose/head and some of the window frames which clearly hadn't been cleaned for several weeks/ months. (We sent a msg to the owner but they never replied). The paths around the house was extremely slippy when wet so beware. Parking is outside on the road but need to be aware of the wall before opening the car door. Overall a nice place but we booked for the 4.9 star rating but feel it wasn't up to standard.

We enjoyed our stay at Exmoor View.

The listing was accurate, and it proved a good base for the beautiful North Devon countryside and coast.

We had a lovely stay at Exmoor View, the cottage is well equiped with everything you need and the village location is beautiful.

We spent a really nice afternoon just wandering around the village and the church followed by a Sunday roast at the pub - which was really relaxing. The only slight disapointments (and they are minor) are that the beds are extremely hard, they could do with a cheap mattress topper to soften them up a bit and the downstairs shower room isn't overly easy to use with all the other stuff (hoover, ironing board, high chair, mops etc) being stored in there as well. Appreciate storage is limited in the cottage but may be needs some rethinking like an upright or stick style hoover that hangs on the wall and maybe hanging the ironing board on the wall too would make space easier to use. Overall though we had a lovely time and would consider staying here again if we were heading in that direction. The wine and chocolates were very much appreciated too. Thank you to the owners for letting us book it :-)

Lovely cottage in quiet village and yet close to all attractions

An excellent stay - our third one in three years.

Good to see that soft furnishings and other casualties of Covid have been restored. A shame to see that the Courtyard Bistro in South Molton has closed but can recommend the Poltimore Arms in the village and the Stags Head at Filleigh.

North Molton was easy to find, a good base for exploring Exmoor without being too remote.

Beautiful cottage, they've literally thought of everything.

Only slight downfall was that it was very rural so we spent a lot of time in the car but entirely out fault as we should’ve researched the location better.

Well presented modern house with good facilities.

Lovely village location. Obviously set-up for holiday rentals so not the most characterful with average furnishings (and mattresses that were too firm for most of the family). None of the entertainment stuff that you often find in rentals (books, games, jigsaws...). Could do with a small bbq. Street parking a bit awkward for the uninitiated (2ft high kerb). But these are all minor. Overall it is better than average and we had a very good stay. Recommended.

Very comfortable and well equipped house and lovely touch to find wine, chocolates and dog treats when we arrived!

Owners responsive too when we needed to contact them about a small query. Would definitely recommend the house but a bit too far for us to get to beaches (35-40 minutes for most of them). Exmoor was beautiful though.

We had a wonderful week away at Exmoor view - a lovely house with great facilities and we really appreciated the chocolates and wine - thankyou!

Great cottage in an excellent location.

The house was warm, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It is an excellent base for exploring Exmoor and the surrounding area. The local pub was very friendly and the village shop well stocked. South Molton is only 10 minutes away and has a range of shops, pubs and takeaways. There are some nice walks from the house and a wide range of cycling routes, if you don't mind the hills.

A lovely comfortable and well equipped cottage with a safe garden for our dog.

The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower, these 2 things are really important to us. The local pub was friendly with good pub grub and only a 10 minute walk away. Our only concern was the noise from the road, which being in a very rural area , started before 5.30 each weekday morning. However. We couldn’t fault the cottage.

Top class cottage in a great village location.

High spec fittings and furnishings with well-designed layout. Very cosy and relaxing environment.

This is a brand new property and everything is very clean and tidy, but at the same time it also has a cosy, warm feeling.

We had everything we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped. Comfy sofas. Comfy bedrooms. The owners had made a lot of effort to make the place feel safe COVID-wise too. I short, it was perfect for our first week away in a long time. We enjoy walking and the property is very close to some lovely walks on Exmoor. The local pub is also very friendly (dog friendly too) and the food is nice. It's a lovely place for a peaceful break and we highly recommend it.

Despite the Covid restrictions we had a very relaxing holiday at this comfortable and well-equipped cottage.

A lovely, homely cottage in a beautiful sleepy village on the edge of Exmoor.

The locals we met were very friendly. The local pub, The Poltimore Arms, served very good food, and the village shop serves the community well. We would certainly recommend the cottage and would return if we visited this part of Devon again.

Beautiful place to stay well equipped the owners thought of everything.

Bottle of of wine and chocolates were left for us as we arrived too , nice thought . Poltimore pub was great and great location for walks and not too far from beaches about 25 mins in car . Feel very relaxed

Exmoor View is an extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean cottage and well placed for exploring north Devon and Somerset.

Comfortable beds and good showers, well stocked village shop and pub within walking distance. Highly recommend the Exmoor Safari and a trip to Lynton and Lynmouth are a must.
