  • "This is the 5th apartment we have stayed in at this stunning location and by far our favourite."

    I can’t think of anything negative to say at all. Lovely and clean, thoughtful bits left to make your stay so enjoyable.The automatic blinds were fabulous and you can’t beat the view. Would definitely 100% return to this apartment and recommend to anyone. Would be perfect for two couples, with the bedrooms being on different floors and having an en suite in both bedrooms and space to sit and watch the view or TV. Can’t wait to return

  • "We loved Bayview Tower."

    It was comfortable and well equipped, and the views across the bay were spectacular. The Tower is in a perfect location - it takes only a couple of minutes to walk into Lynton village, and we had some excellent meals in local restaurants and pubs. We would highly recommend a stay at Bayview Tower.

  • "Bayview is a wonderful property with an amazing view."

    It is one of the best equipped properties we have stayed in and is extremely comfortable. The car parking is a little tight ( especially with a large SUV) but that is the only slightly negative thing I can think of. Lynton and Lynmouth are lovely towns and make a great base for a Devon holiday.

  • "It's a beautiful place with stunning view."

    Very spacious. Each lovely bedroom has its own bathroom plus toilet on the ground floor. The apartment was over three floors, so quite few steps up and down

  • "We had a marvellous week in this comfortable place."

    The holiday home was well equipped, comfortable and the views from the windows and the terrace were fabulous. The small town of Lynton is a short walk away - the Londis supermarket has a good selection and there are plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Would recommend The Saucy Mare Indian take away for freshly cooked authentic curry and The Old Bank for marvellous service and Tapas. Beautifully situated and close to many delightful walks. Also enjoyed the carriage museum at the NT property, Arlington Court. Thank you

  • "A gorgeous place to stay."

    Stunning views from the spacious terrace- garden furniture updated since the photos I saw on the post. Lovely! Fabulous, spacious rooms. Fabulous lounge. Thoughtful touches by the new owners. Kitchen well equipped although the fridge wasn’t particularly efficient. Our only issue, which we sorted ourselves, was the hot water timing which was heated overnight and therefore cold by 5.30pm when we all wanted showers. But neither of these quibbles spoiled our stay and I would 100 per cent recommend this beautiful holiday home.

  • "Everything about the property went beyond expectations."

    It was very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a self catering stay. The views from the terrace, sitting room and bedrooms was spectacular, even when the weather was not at its best. Thank you also to the owners for the very generous welcome pack on arrival. The property has recently been acquired by new owners and, in response to former comments, we found the kitchen very adequately equipped and the mattress on the four poster bed very comfortable.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay in Bayview Tower!"

    It has the most idyllic panoramic view, we felt we were in the Mediterranean! Bayview Tower was stylish and comfortable and in the perfect location for coastal walking and quaint and quirky shops with great choice of quality foodie places within walking distance.

  • "When I booked the holiday last year I was under the impression it was a standalone property."

    I see the new owners describe it as an abode it is in fact a well presented 2 bed apartment in a complex of 10. The furnishings are excellent and the views are stunning. Only drawbacks are the fact that the fridge and dishwasher are in a utility room a little distance from the kitchen. Barking dogs in adjoining apartments were annoying.

  • "The location is second to none and the interiors bright and beautiful."

    The one fly in the ointment was the very poor state of the mattress in the first bedroom. It needs replacing as it is in extremely poor shape - full of peaks and troughs.

The property

Bayview Tower is a luxurious three-storey, Grade II-listed abode exquisitely located on North Devon’s breathtaking coastline, with an elevated position boasting panoramic sea views over the Bristol Channel in the wonderful Exmoor National Park.

Having once stayed in Lynton Cottages, the stunning view so inspired the author C.S Lewis, author of The Chronicles of Narnia, that he wrote in his journal, “The view from the balcony was beyond everything I have ever seen” (Lynton, 1925).

Set in one of the prettiest coastal locations in England, with opportunities to explore Exmoor National Park and its magnificent natural beauty, this picturesque Tower exudes style and character from top to bottom.

The beach and picturesque coastal town of Lynmouth can be easily accessed on foot from the cottage (no need to move the car!) by using the historic funicular cliff railway, which is the highest and steepest totally water-powered railway in the world!

The terminal for this exciting and unusual form of transport is situated just a five-minute walk from the Tower, so you can easily enjoy everything that the two towns have to offer.

Why not set off from the Tower along the beautiful South West Coast Path to the magnificent Valley of Rocks, hire kayaks, go horse riding in Exmoor, visit Exmoor Zoo, or travel on the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway?
