Description
Yeovil 3 miles.
*Newly open July 2021*.
This characterful detached barn conversion, Tom's Barn, rests in Mudford Sock near Yeovil.
Boasting a lovely rural vista and within easy reach of countryside attractions and the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Tom's Barn is an attractive setting for a family of four.
Two in-demand off-road parking spaces greet you upon arrival, before heading through the french doors and into a fabulous open-plan living space.
The open-plan room boasts original exposed beams and an airy feel throughout, thanks to its large windows; get together with your group and unwind on the plush sofas in the sitting area as you watch a family-favourite on the Smart TV.
After enjoying some entertainment, continue on to the spacious kitchen area, a contemporary space that features fabulous granite worktops, a handy breakfast bar and an impressive inventory of appliances; once dinner is served, catch up with your group about your rural escapades over a delicious meal at the close-by dining table.
Progress through the property to find two welcoming bedrooms, a king-size and a twin; both rooms feature Smart TVs, tasteful furnishings and views out to the garden - making them superb places to relax in.
The well-equipped bathroom is further down the corridor, containing both a walk-in shower and a spacious bath.
In the enclosed front garden you can enjoy alfresco dining on the patio and look on as the kids and your furry friend play in the paddock across the way.
Head into the town of Yeovil to find your amenities, stop in the Bell Inn for a pint in the beer garden, before enjoying a game of golf at the local club, or visit the breathtaking Montacute House and tour its grounds.
History lovers will enjoy travelling to Sherborne and visiting its intriguing Steam and Waterwheel Centre and magnificent Castle; why not stroll around Sherborne Lake or the lovely Pageant Gardens, too?
Travel a little further to the town of Glastonbury and venture through the legendary Glastonbury Abbey, hike the hill to Glastonbury Tor, before paying a visit to the quaint and sacred Chalice Well's gardens.
Outdoors fans will benefit from embarking on the numerous hiking and cycling routes that weave through the Blackdown Hills; for a day at the seaside, travel south to Weymouth to explore its harbour and beaches.
There is so much to see and do in Somerset with your loved ones at Tom's Barn.

What guests are saying
A beautiful property in a lovely quiet area but near to most facilities you could ever need.
We felt very comfortable throughout our stay and enjoyed the local walks, despite the mixed weather (to be expected in October). Most items were provided, but from a personal point of view, a few more mixing bowls, a blender and a coffee machine would have made it perfect.
A lovely cottage with everything you could need.
Homemade scones delicious. Well positioned for National Trust properties.
Toms Barn is so lovely, beautiful location to visit Somerset, Dorset and even Devon.
We have been twice now and will be back. Barn has everything you need and is very comfortable. Excellent. Jenny
