"Lovely cottage in a quiet area."
Tony was very friendly, our dog Virgil loved him, and he was happy to tell us about the history of the cottage. We were due to visit last August but had to cancel last minute due to severe illness, but Tony kindly allowed us to move our date to this year so we wouldn't lose the holiday.
The local area is friendly with so much to see and do, we barely drove more than 20 minutes from the cottage as the area is covered with beaches, nature reserves, marinas, etc.
Would definitely visit again!

"Absolutely brilliant stay."
The owner was so welcoming and we loved learning the interesting history of the cottage. The lamp and fire were lit prior to our arrival which was lovely to walk into. Loved the quirkiness of the cottage. Perfect location. We will definitely stay again.

"A lovely cosy property, close to both the beach and town centre."
Nice clean cottage, with lots of floor space - great if you’re travelling with dogs.
Owner is very friendly, on hand if you need anything, and gave us some interesting history of the
area.
3 dog friendly pubs in a couple of minutes walking distance.
Only thing - a sweeping brush would be handy as we like to leave a property as we find it especially travelling with pets.
Otherwise a lovely cottage in a great location, locals all super friendly too. We would like to return.

"We couldn't get on with the TV there was no bbc1 2 itv etc was all streaming ."
There was ants in the kitchen they was crawling on our legs . I did tell the owner as we had my dog there too and they were everywhere outside otherwise an enjoyable stay there
THANK YOU FOR YOUR 5 STAR REVIEW! It was a heat wave and flying ant day during your stay. Newton, despite being a 5 minute walk from the beach, is in a semi-rural village. We appreciate the 5 star review.

"We stayed for 1 week over the may half term."
Cobweb corner is a cute little cottage full of character and charm! Tony who owns it lives in the larger adjoining cottage door with his lovely dog Otto. Tony was so friendly and accommodating and was so good (as was otto) with our daughter. He is full of local knowledge, places to visit, pubs to eat at etc. Our daughter loved the attic play room and having a quiet hide away space to chill out in. Beds were comfy and we slept so well after long days on the beach. Full digital TV package to catch up on programmes or chill out with a film night. Never ran out of hot water with us all showering every night to get rid of the sand. There's no oven but a clean and easy to use air fryer, electric touch hob and microwave was fine to cook a variety of meals! A shop next door (expensive) but very useful for grabbing essentials or a bottle of wine and only a 10 minute stroll to the local beach which is beautiful. If there's anything you need just ask Tony and he'll help or point you in the right direction! We have previously stayed at Trecco bay caravan site (round the corner) but much preferred Cob Webb corner for a more chilled out and relaxed holiday away from the hustle and bustle of it all!!

"Ideally situated- close to beach, shops and pubs."
The semi spiral stairs may prove a challenge to the elderly or persons with restricted mobility. Tony White the owner was very welcoming, helpful and a font of local history and knowledge. Thankfully the coffin drop was not needed.

"This quirky cottage very quickly felt like home."
Tony the owner is a lovely chap, and made us feel very welcome.
Like others have said, Tony was able to tell us about the history of the intriguing house and the town and useful local info which was great.
This is a great base for seeing some of amazing south Wales.
A great place for dog walking. With the local green, beach, dunes and sea front.
We've so much more to discover, we must go back!
Thanks again Tony we had a lovely stay!

"Cobweb Corner – a great name for a really great little holiday cottage!"
!
Nestled right in the heart of Newton village we spent 5 lovely days in this warm cosy cottage that was full of character and ‘olde-worlde’ charm.
Tony made us feel really welcome when we arrived, gave us all the information we needed, showed us round, and was on hand just next door if we wanted anything. The bed was really comfy, nice bathroom, cosy lounge, seating indoors and out, and very tidy, just what we wanted. Location is incredible, only 2 minutes’ walk to the village green, church, pub, and places of interest, and 5 minutes from the wonderful beach.
Tony shared all his local knowledge, gave fantastic insights into the 400-year history of the cottage, and added some thoughtful little touches to our stay.
Great holiday, thanks Tony

"Tony is helpful and informative."
Nothing is too much trouble for him. The house is quirky, well equipped, comfortable, warm and inviting.
Our dogs loved the location, walks and beaches with a pub or 2 on the way, we loved its position due to easiness of shopping and eateries.
Generally a gem.

"Tony met us on arrival and talked us through the history of this beautiful and quirky cottage, a really lovely touch."
The space had just been renovated and was everything we could have hoped for. I loved the scalextrix and the kitchen and sofa was more than we could have hoped for given the weather. Situated in a brilliant spot for the beach, which the dog loved, and shops close by. Our first visit to Porthcawl, won't be our last and we will definitely use the cottage and Tony for our next visit. Thank you for making our pist Xmas break a real treat
