Lenny's Place

The house is very special; we loved it and it was a delight to meet the owner.

Our week was spoiled, however, by the long-standing gas main road works outside. The noise and vibration were at times intolerable, especially for our dog who became very distressed. Escaping to the deck brought some relief but generally the answer was to leave the house altogether. As these works were scheduled, well in advance, to last for very many months and throughout the summer, Sykes Cottages should have adjusted the rent by a considerable margin. Failure to notify occupants of this disruption is a serious failing on Sykes part.

We arrived to a very welcoming clean house, it was as described and a wonderful space for a family get together.

In advance it had been hi lighted about the safety concern of the rear garden and its use. The kitchen and other rooms were well equipped. Parking was available just down the road after being able to drop off at the door.

Property was stunning with fantastic sea views.

It was great to explore Watchet. Would love to stay again!

Had a lovely stay at Lenny's Place would highly recommend.

The views over the sea are amazing, just the ticket for winding down with a cup of tea in the morning and watching the sun set with a glass of wine in the evening. The cottage had everything you needed and was very comfortable and clean, couldn't fault it. Would love to go back there again. Not suitable for young children though as the outside screen from the patio down the rocks to the beach wouldn't be secure for them.

We’ve had a wonderful few days at Lennie’s Place.

By far the best holiday let I’ve stayed in so far. I booked the house for my birthday so I could wake up and see the view and wow! What a view. Couldn’t spend enough time out on the decking. The sunsets were beautiful. The decking is not secure and there is a big drop off the end but we were made aware of this in the listing and in the information from the owner in the cottage so we were well prepared, with a long lead for the dog which we attached to the picnic bench and she mooched around quite happily without us worrying she’d take flight after a low flying seagull! Watchet is a lovely friendly place to relax in. To sum up. I’m already hoping to book again. Thank you Sykes and Paul (and Lennie)

This is a very welcoming and comfortable house with everything you can think of.

The beds are super dreamy and all three bathrooms are beautiful. If I had a kitchen window with a view like this I would never moan about washing up, from here and the decking the views are stunning. It's lovely to sit and listen to the waves and people watch, especially the children playing in the tidal pool. Back inside plenty of seating on 3 comfortable sofas . The stairs to the bedrooms are rather steep but there are good strong handrails. Would highly recommend this property for a beautiful relaxing time away.

What a lovely property very spacious and well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay.

Very clean and well presented. We parked in nearby pay and display car parks. The views are stunning from the private decking but some of the boards are loose so you just need to watch your footing, the large picnic bench is perfect for eating outside. Hopefully we'll come back soon

Very well layed out and really comfortable. Some of kitchen equipment could do with replacing but apart from that all good.

Great location, wonderful sea views.

Owner very responsive, when realised previous guest had broken lots of dinner plates... arranged replacements very quickly! Stairs are very steep, two of our guests in their 70s struggled with these but downstairs toilet helped with reduced travel up and downstairs! Bedrooms are spacious, great set up and warm house. Very comfortable accommodation. High table in kitchen/diner with tall stools, could sit 6 people if they're happy to hop up! Close to all amenities in Watchet, including a few pubs, a curry house and a takeaway. On street parking just a short walk away for free, but very easy to park outside to house to load/unload your luggage. Would stay again!!

What a wonderful, comfortable and spotlessly clean property making it a fabulous stay.

Great location and it has everything you need. The views of the sea are awesome. A lovely relaxing break - would definitely recommend this place. The town is friendly with some great little shops, cafes and pubs. Busses run regularly if you don’t want to take the car and we had no problem parking.
