The property looked amazing and is exactly what you’d want if you’re after peace and a countryside feel.

The location is also great, with plenty of amenities nearby, including large supermarkets and popular tourist attractions.

This is a lovely little wood cabin in a lovely spot, perfect for a single guest, a couple or a couple with a child.

You're on farmland, but the hut's positioned so you're not overlooked. View's lovely, including a fishing pond, and fields of very quiet, chilled sheep all round. There's a small road not too far, but it's never noisy as traffic is pretty infrequent and doens't go fast. There's also a railway line to the rear, but again, it really doesn't spoil the sense of tranquillity. At night there's very little light pollution at all; proper country darkness surrounds you. The cabin itself is very prettily and elegantly designed and a delight to spend time in, plus there's a lovely sheltered outside area as well. I was there during a cold snap and apart from first thing in the morning where the downstairs area needs a little bit of heating up, the heater supplied soon makes the place feel wonderfully snug and cosy. All amenities were excellent. The only thing that wasn't quite clear from the listing was that the oven is a microwave, not a conventional one. But the gas stove-top works very well. I imagine it must be even lovelier in the Spring or Summer, but even in late November it was just right. Loads of nice walks around the area if that's your thing too. And plenty of shops within 10 mins drive of your front door. I really had a great time. It's a true gem and I hope to come back one day, but fear it might become very popular rather fast!

Great stay, everything you want from a rural retreat in Dorset.

Brilliant spot if you love fishing as you can have use of your own pool. The hideaway has everything you need for a very cosy stay. The bed is extremely comfortable and it's lovely waking up and looking out of the circular window taking in the views of the surrounding countryside. We were lucky with the weather and so made use of the table and chairs on the patio enjoying breakfast whilst watching a kestrel hunting a couple of feet away. Very peaceful place to stay and would definitely recommend it.

Magical scenery, and friendly locals and host.

Most of everything is provided for a comfortable stay. Nicely clean and appreciate the handy toiletries. I wonder about the accuracy of listing of the following: * Photos do not show the stairs, which are steep and not wide, with a lack of support at the top. Not suitable for all, and therefore, a photo can help with decisions before booking. * There is provision for fishing: this was not mentioned. It may be helpful for those interested to bring their own equipment. * Central Heating is listed: this is incorrect. A Pifco electric fire does not constitute as central heating. We enjoyed our stay and love the area. It would have been helpful to have more information for guests: such as the TV account to use, how to operate the coffee maker, how to pull out the bed seatee to use as a bed if access up the stairway is not possible, although there was spare duvet stored downstairs. A little niggle point is the less than half toilet roll, and the 1 tea bag for a 5 night stay?

Absolutely brilliant loved being here it’s secluded and beautiful spent 4 nights here and will definitely be back
