  • "The property was lovely, but we had to move down to the second bedroom as we found the stairs to the master, awkward."

The Lounge dining and kitchen areas are excellent, and the view over the Bristol Channel was just as we expected. Birnbeck Pier in its delapidated state was also of interest.

Thank you for your kind review. Also for your comments on our feedback sheet regarding the WiFi. You are the first guests to have stayed since the WiFi was replaced, therefore we were delighted to see that it’s now working properly! Refurbishing is now starting on Birnbeck Pier, it will take a long time but we are looking forward to seeing the transformation and it being open to the public once again. Property Owner

We like walking and it is within easy distance of walking around the area. The views were amazing. The apartment was fully equipped with everything you could want. If we come to this area again this apartment would be our no1 choice.

Thank you for your kind review, we would love to see you again next time you need some sea air and good walks Property Owner

Excellent facilities apart from unreliable Wi-Fi service.

Thank you for your kind review. Also for the lovely comments in the visitors book. Pier View now has an upgraded Wi-Fi signal, it took five engineers and as many weeks to sort it out but we got there in the end! Property Owner

  • "Home from Home Pier view is a beautiful ‘home from home’ apartment, with everything needed (and more) for a comfortable stay."

The description and photo’s are very accurate, including the interior and stunning views of Birnbeck Pier, the sea and sunsets. I’m quite particular about cleanliness, but the apartment was spotless. Very close to the centre of Weston-Super-Mare and easy access to the M5 to explore further afield. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your lovely review, we love living here and we are still exploring all that Somerset has to offer. The sunsets are amazing and I find myself (having lived here for nearly 3 years) still taking photographs!! Property Owner

Situated in a quiet location 10-15 minute walk into town, shop, cafe and pub nearby and great sunset views - if you get good weather! Owner was very helpful when we had a problem with the boiler.

  • "As advertised."

Full homely amenities, restfully and comfortably decorated. Clear instructions, easy to live in. Home away from home. Be aware on a hill and short steps involved in and outside, but no problems at all and height enabled a wonderful view. Great bus service 5 mins away, takes to Interchange and buses to surrounding areas, and to Bristol and Clevedon.

  • "Excellent comfortable and attractive accommodation in a lovely location."

It is a short walk to the town centre but people with mobility difficulties would find the walk back uphill challenging. The owners are helpful and nearby, but not intrusive.

The flat is beautiful and tastefully decorated and the views are stunning. A great location for walkers and in close proximity to many areas for exploration. There are various leaflets and flyers in the flat and the flat really is a home away from home. Would heartily recommend a stay at this venue.

  • "Pier View was our perfect holiday home."

We are a family of four with different opinions on what constitutes an ideal apartment. It's almost impossible to find a place we all love, but Pier View was that place. The apartment is lovely, the views amazing, the cleanliness impeccable and the hosts wonderful. They really made us feel as comfortable as possible. I really hope we will be back. I miss Pier View already.

  • "The stairs to the main en suit bedroom are wooden, very steep, narrow and spiral at the top."

My disabled husband was unable to access the room and we had to use the smaller room without an en suit, which as an amputee was difficult in the night. We did, obviously wrongly, presume the stairs pictured from the entrance floor to the lounge was the staircase to the upper bedroom. Had we seen a photo or description of the bedroom staircase we would not have booked this property.

Thank you for the lovely message you left in the visitor book. Regarding the problems you mentioned above, we are arranging for the photographer to take some new photographs of Pier View and we will request one of the stairs to the main bedroom. We will also change the wording in Sykes details and mention the bedroom staircase specifically. We have only been running the holiday let for eighteen months and we appreciate all feedback, positive or negative. We want everyone who stays at Pier View to have the best holiday possible. We can only apologize for the problems you encountered. Property Owner

Excellent location and views of Birnbeck Pier and the sea, Chris and Debs have thought of literally everything you would need for your stay and were so accommodating. A 10min walk into town along the coastal path was so picturesque and refreshing. Cream tea on arrival was the icing on the cake. So much to see and do, from walks along the beach, up to Uphill Nature Reserve to see the views from the tower. A visit to the helicopter museum and another to the 'Revo Kitchen' on the beach front on a Friday - Sunday with a live pianist and beautiful views is a must. We will definitely be back!

The views were stunning the apartment was stunning, everything we could want had been provided and more. The stroll into the centre is only around 20 mins if that with amazing views on the way. Both of my children (15 & 11) enjoyed it too. Can also highly recommend a trip to Bristol via train, was only £20 return for a family of four and there was plenty to see and do. We hope to return as it really was perfect.

  • "A lovely apartment with all the facilities you would need."

Very clean and matches the photos and description online, with parking and a lovely outside seating area which has lighting for the evening. The apartment looks out onto Birnbeck Pier, which is beautiful despite being damaged and closed, being slightly out of the town it was nice and quiet. It took us 15-20 minutes to walk into town, via the beach path is lovely, though the apartment is ‘up’ so needs some effort up and down. Lots of bars and restaurants on the sea front. In respect of the apartment, there are steps, so steps up to the house and then stairs to the living / kitchen area as well as tight stairs up to the double bedroom. This could be an issue for someone with limited mobility. The owners had provided some key supplies too, tea, coffee, milk, butter as well as some scones, jam and cream. A lovely touch. A lovely apartment in a lovely town; we would certainly recommend.

Deb & Chris were there if we needed anything at all or would send us a text. Great to get to places Cheddar Gorge, Bath, Glastonbury & Wells which we visited. Even cream tea waiting for us when we arrived. Fantastic stay keep it up guys your doing a great job there.

The binoculars were a nice touch, you can see the ruins at the end of Brean Downs on a clear day. Beds were really comfy too. The sofas in the living room area are a bit old and weren’t very comfortable, we thought it would be a good idea to get bigger sofas so when sitting down you can see the sea view from them. There’s also nowhere to do hair and makeup in the bedroom so I got ready using the hallway mirror but it wasn’t a problem.
