  • "Lovely property, but it’s the fantastic location & the views that sell it, & the well maintained garden with lots of shrubs and colourful potted plants."

    The kitchen is fairly well equipped, but we did miss not having the use of an air fryer! We all enjoyed our week at Pen y Graig, & would have loved to return next year, same time, but was really disappointed to see the summer months are fully booked already, oh well, maybe 2028 we will make it back, fingers crossed, I do hope so.

    We love Pen-y-graig and are thrilled when others love it too. It has been a job keeping the pots going this hot summer. Did you find the third electric oven in the utility room? We hope you manage to find a return opportunity in 2028 (or 2027 if there is a cancellation). Property Owner

  • "Our annual trip into Wales with the family is always a pleasure and I can honestly say that this year stay at Pen Y Graig was 2nd to none."

    Accommodation is fantastic the views from the garden and balcony even more so. Watching the dolphins with a gin tonic in the evening was a dream come true. I can’t praise the accommodation any higher. Brilliant and we will return.

  • "This was a fabulous property for our group of 7 friends ranging from 40-84 years old."

    The ground floor bedroom suite was superb and ideal for our oldest member. The facilities are excellent and the kitchen is so well equipped. You could cook absolutely anything here and do some baking too! We have only a couple of observations on the more negative side - there was no hot water on the ground floor one night. I texted the caretaker - this was 10pm when we discovered this. I had no acknowledgment and we discovered only by testing it ourselves, that hot water was restored the following morning. It would have been courteous and helpful to have received a reply. Secondly, although we had no issues with everyday cleanliness, we did spot a few cobwebs up high. But given the size and height of the property we assumed that high dusting is done only from time to time. And finally, how much more user friendly it would have been to have over bath showers in the two en suites in the twin rooms. Having said all that, this property is superior in every way and none of the above observations impacted on our experience. In fact, the day after we left, we booked it again for next year and this is likely to be an annual occurrence!

  • "A really lovely property in an excellent location."

    We only had a short stay but had a great time. As the property is so close to the beach and coastal footpath it was so convenient to pop out for a walk (in between showers). We found the property very comfortable with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views. The kitchen is really well set out and with lots of equipment. We also visited the local pub and cafe, which were great and friendly staff. We will definitely return for another visit.

  • "Beautiful setting and very spacious."

    Lots of games and books supplied.well equipped kitchens. Having a second kitchen was very useful. Sea view from all rooms.watched dolphins and seals from the garden daily. Lovely village shop, with friendly staff and the local Indian restaurant was truly amazing.Cleaning in some areas could have been better, but overall a hidden gem of a property that shouldn't be missed.

  • "This is a wonderful property, perfectly positioned in the heart of Aberporth."

    The house is spacious, comfortable, and extremely well appointed with everything you could need. A highlight for the family was the beautiful double-height oak-beamed conservatory, made extra cosy with underfloor heating. The well-kept gardens offer lovely outdoor space, with exceptional views across the village and bay. The only small area for improvement would be the addition of showers in the twin rooms en-suite, although this was by no means an issue as there are already four excellent showers available throughout the property. Thank you for a truly lovely stay, we would happily return and would definitely consider this property again in the future.

    We were so lucky with the weather, but even on a cold blustery day, the grandchildren were happy on the beach! They loved being able to go back and forth safely on their own.

  • "This property is beautiful inside and out."

    Everything you need for a great getaway very spacious for everyone. It’s really well equipped with plenty of kitchen equipment. The open fire soon warmed us all up.Even in February we went on the beach everyday. We did one of the coastal walks recommended and thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • "Our stay was amazing - wonderful weather and lots of dolphin sightings and swimming ."

    The house was beautiful and very well equipped . Everything we needed was to hand including EV charging a minute’s walk away . So many places to visit but the house is so lovely we just wanted to sit in the conservatory or on the mezzanine and read books or play games with the incredible sea views . Curry house up the road managed a big order no problem and were very friendly. The Ship at Tresaith also excellent and walkable on the cliff top path .

  • "We so loved the house !"

    It was perfect for the family as we wanted somewhere right by the coast for my mum who’s very frail and would not be able to go on walks or out on trips …The fresh sea air did her good … we very nearly didn’t come as she was re admitted to hospital on the Monday .The house was so spacious and the views out of this world . It was great that I was able to do my washing here too ( we really appreciated that laundry products were well stocked ) … I normally have to bring it all home ! Loved that there was a nice supply of food bags foil cling film it all made it feel from home to home . Was also able to dip into 1 or 2 books and the games supply was super too ! Loved the milk and goodies on our arrival . Thankyou for an amazing few days , perfect x

The property

Pen y Graig is a large well loved family holiday home standing on its own private headland and beautiful garden in a spectacular position on the West Wales Coast.

It is the perfect venue for families and friends to get together with uninterrupted views of Aberporth Beach and the open sea which provides easy access to both the sandy bathing beaches and the Ceredigion Coastal footpath.

There are many amenities to be found in Aberporth village.

These include the village shop, pharmacy, post office, pub, restaurants, cafes and a children's playground, all within walking distance.

However, once here you will find it hard to drag yourself away from the terrace where you can relax amongst banks of roses and hydrangeas lulled by the sound of the sea gently lapping over the rocks below.

From this vantage point you may see the resident bottlenose dolphins, seals, oystercatchers, cormorants, red kites, kestrels and much more.

Be welcomed into a bright sitting room with an open fire and TV, where you can look forward to gathering to chill out together after a tiring day.

You can also take yourself upstairs to the beautiful viewing room which has been designed to maximise the unforgettable views and watch the weather come and go throughout the day.

There is a large kitchen/diner (and a smaller second kitchen) which the designated chef will be impressed with thanks to the range of facilities including an Aga range cooker.

There is an informal dining area here or if you want to host a proper dinner party to celebrate a special occasion, then step into the stunning dining room which has a feature apex glass ceiling to make the most of the light and the spectacular views and a stylish dining table and chairs ready for guests to gather and enjoy a social evening while immersing themselves in these captivating surroundings.

At bedtime, there is a choice of bedrooms so whatever the combination of guests in your party there should be a bedroom to suit.

Ranging from super-king-sizes to twins, all come with en-suite facilities, so no need to worry about queueing for the bathroom in the morning.

At first light, take a coffee out into the garden to remind yourself of the enchanting location and plan your day ahead.

There is private off-road parking for two cars beside the garage and unrestricted parking in the road outside.

The house offers wonderfully spacious and comfortable accommodation for 10 with five bedrooms, four upstairs and one downstairs - all have en-suite facilities.

There is also a large downstairs shower room plus an outside shower to sluice off after bathing and every upstairs bedroom has exceptional beach and sea views.

A particular feature is the magnificent double height oak framed sea room where you will be able to eat while watching some exceptional sunsets and feeling part of the ever changing seascapes.

You will arrive for a holiday, but you will leave with some wonderful memories of a very special place.

Aberporth is a small town that sits on the southern edge of Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion, renowned for it's fabulous beaches that attract visitors, all year round. There are two beaches that sit between the rocky headlands of Trecregyn and Fathgarreg, separated by a smaller rocky outcrop. Uniquely, at low tide they interlink, but at high tide, they create individual beaches and create great rock pools for the children to play in and explore. Small boats, canoes, and kayaks can easily be launched from the north beach, while the south beach lends itself beautifully for a spot of sunbathing. Close to the beaches, there is a small seaside café, fish and chip shop, and a friendly pub serving good food and drinks. In the village itself, there is a range of shops and takeaway stores. Nestled directly on the famous Wales Coast Path, between the towns of Cardigan in the south, and Llangrannog and New Quay to the north, it is a great base for exploring this glorious stretch of coastline. Venture to Cardigan and discover the town’s many shops, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs, and bustling markets. Visit the nearby themed farm park, spot dolphins from the coastal path, or take a boat trip for the chance to see them up close! Aberporth is a great base for exploring this wonderful part of West Wales, with something to do for all the family.
