"We had such a wonderful stay."
The cottage is in a really beautiful location. So much nature surrounding you. Easy access to the local area, we visited St.Davids, Fishguard, Cardigan and New Quay (mostly all within a 30min drive). Had some fantastic walks, the views from Dinas Head and Dinas Mountain are stunning. Huw and Feroza were so welcoming, really made us feel at home straight away. The cottage itself was spotless, well equipped and very quaint. We had so much fun in the games room too. Thank you so much for such a magical stay.

"What an amazing week we had at the cottage."
Such a relaxing week watching the birds, a visit from the badger and seeing the rabbits. Huw and Feroza are very welcoming. Beautiful walks. We visited St David's Cathedral, the Wollen Mill and a boat trip to Skomer Island to see the puffins. A wonderful week.

Well equipped with lots of cooking utensils, maps and even a games room. Traditional setting- retained many original features. Decor is so pretty. Sitting in kitchen we loved looking across garden at the birds. Cosy fireplace- also underfloor heating. Huw and Feroza wonderul hosts- keen to please but not intrusive. Abundance of wildlife in garden and even have own woodland- bonus feature. Lovely peaceful setting and easy access for walks without needing to drive. Visited Fishguard and Cwm Yr Eglwys. Deserted beaches real bonus- quiet and peaceful. Have booked again already !

The place is lovely . Well situated for walks on the coast or to the small beach that is at the end of an enchanting walk through the woods at the end of the garden following a mountain stream . Huw & Feroza made us very welcome. They went out of there way to let us watch the sunset with a fire pit to keep us warm . We had a great time & our dogs loved it .

"We had a wonderful stay in Trewrach Cottage."
The cottage itself is lovely, set in a beautiful location, very comfortable and furnished to a high standard throughout. Huw and Feroza were great hosts and made us feel very welcome from arrival to departure. We particularly enjoyed the garden, the games room and the ability to be able to walk from the cottage and be on the Wales Coast Path in just a few minutes. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, and being able to watch a huge variety of birds and even badgers visiting the garden was an added bonus. Highly recommended and we would love to stay again in the future!

"What an amazing week!"
We have been going to Sykes cottages for around 20 years, all around UK and Ireland, and Trewrach Cottage is absolutely number 1 in our Hit Parade - and we've been in some beautiful places.
We had our furry grandson, Hari the Spaniel with us who loved the forest and the field. Huw and Feroza are such lovely hosts - to the extent that Huw heard that there was a dog lost on the coastal path and he came to make sure it wasn't Hari! What a lovely, kind gesture! We're going back!

Large garden which Jack the border collie loved. He also loved cooling off in the stream in the woods as we had a very hot week.
Plenty of walks nearby.
Thanks to the owners who were a lovely, friendly couple.
Cottage was lovely and had everything you needed
Sincerely hope to go back again.

"Trewrach cottage is in a fantastic position, nothing but the sound of the birds & the stream."
Ideal place to get away from the stresses of every day life.
Hugh was very welcoming & helpful.
The garden isn't fully enclosed so we had to with the help of Hugh, barricade part of the patio area to stop the youngest dog running up the drive.
A small fence & gate by the steps down to the cottage would solve this issue.
Would definitely recommend Trewrach cottage.

"We had a wonderful week at Trewrach cottage."
We really enjoyed the walk through the woods ending up at a picturesque, secluded beach. Being given the opportunity to plant a tree during the ongoing works in the woods by our host was very special. The woods are a very special part of this holiday cottage, full of wildlife. We were lucky to see the visiting badger and fox most evenings. Spent a long time each day watching the birds feeding at the bird table outside the kitchen doors. Have already booked 2 weeks next year!!

"We had a wonderful stay here."
The cottage itself is beautiful, it's well worth venturing into the woodland and stream behind the property, which feels like a fairy glenn.
We took daily walks to the local cove alone the main path and each day saw a seal! The local wildlife here is fantastic. At the cottage we saw a wide variety or birds, a visiting fox, a toad and the icing on the cake, a badger! Make sure to leave the nuts along the patio each night to have chance at a glimpse of him/her.
The games room was an added bonus, my partner and I enjoyed more than a few games of pool, table tennis and darts.
We met Huw, the owner who was lovely and welcoming and clearly very proud of all the work that has gone into the cottage and gardens. And rightly so!
Local places we can reccomend a visit to that are dog friendly: Fishguard fort (very small walk but worth a look,we combined this with a mooch around Fishguard and the harbour) Castell Henleys Iron Age Village, The coastal path near the cottage, Tenby (an hours drive, but worth it) and New Quay (about an hours drive as well but we went on a boat trip and managed to see a pod of dolphins).
All in all a wonderful week! We well most certainly be returning!
Thank you!

"We had a fabulous vacation."
The cottage had everything you could need and alot more. Beautiful secluded location, but still close to local shops. The walk through the woodland at the end of the garden to the beach was stunning. We were kept busy feeding the birds, badger and fox that visited the bird table on the patio, to be able to watch a badger every evening was delightful. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, happy to share the history of the cottage and local area. Looking forward to a return visit next year.

"We had a lovely time at Trewrach Cottage despite the weather."
The cottage is in a very secluded and peaceful place. It really felt like you were away from everything whilst being within driving distance of towns and beaches. There was lots of wildlife and the fox and badger visited every evening. The games room was a bonus during wet weather. Huw (owner) was very friendly and approachable but not intrusive at all. "Trewrach Cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful location."
Although it is not far to drive to get to the main coast road, to visit other places. The roses were looking especially good the week we were there. The owners are keen to be helpful and the cottage is laid out in a practical way, with everything there that you might need. The garden is not enclosed, which might be an issue for some dogs, but our spaniel is not a roamer, so it wasn't a problem for us.

"Loved our stay at Trewarch Cottage."
Was greeted at the Cottage by owner Huw. Gave us a quick tour of the property.
Perfect location set within a wooded area with private natural waterfalls cascading down through the ancient woods leading towards an almost private beach set in a cove. Fantastic walks from the beach over the coastal path routes.
Huw is a bird lover and there is x2 small milk churn buckets in the dining area filled with peanuts and seeds. Bird table outside French doors for refilling the bird table. Basically you don't need the tv the birds will keep you occupied, often see a pair of jays and a woodpecker plus all kinds of small birds. Thought I saw an Emu at one point Ha Ha!
Bedrooms were adequate and comfy Living room has plenty of reference books encyclopedias etc. plus puzzles and card games which we like.
Basically, if you like nature and peace and want to relax and feel good about life....this cottage is for you. Would love to visit one day in the future. The games room is cool, please note not attached to the cottage but still close by.
Thanks David Heidi & Ralphy

"A wonderful cottage in a lovely location."
Very peaceful with a pleasant variety of wildlife right on the doorstep! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the ease of access to walks, with stunning views. Only slight negative is the garden is not completely enclosed which we needed for our dogs. The property was lovely and clean and comfortable. Delivery to the cottage by Tesco was a bit of a faf as their van could not negotiate the narrow single-track road so we had to drive to the junction with the main road to collect our order - not a major problem but just to be aware. The games room gave us several night of great family entertainment. The owner is very friendly and social; keen to share his knowledge of the local wildlife and history of the cottage. I only wish we had known about the photo album of the cottage's restoration before the morning of departure as I would have enjoyed looking through it.

"The cottage was perfect for a relaxing getaway, fully equipped, very cozy, (thanks to underfloor heating and woodburner), and private."
The dogs loved the large grass area outside with an archway that leads into the woods. There is a lovely walk through the trees that follows the stream to the beach, which we had to ourselves most days it being February much to our dogs delight.
We found the cliff paths are quite challenging round Dinas so after walking, afternoons were usually spent with our feet up watching the huge numbers of birds feed on the patio or little orchard behind before 4 overgrown kids headed off to the games room to play pool and table tennis or got our telescope out and made the most of the dark skies.
Apart from a 10 minute drive to Fishguard to stock up on supplies we had everything we needed for a great holiday enjoying nature with 2 lively collies.
Huw and Feroza were great hosts. I'm so glad we found this place.
