In general its a nice property.

Its clean. It has a functional layout. It was warm and seemed well insulated. During the power outage the response from the owner was helpful and quick via WhatsApp. Cupboard space is excellent. The beds were very comfortable in all rooms. The front twin window would not shut properly. Some negatives relate to the kitchen. The cooker is too small and very dated for 6 or 8 people. There are certain utensils missing eg collander, sieve and small sharp knives. A utensils audit would be a good idea as some items seem in short supply. There were only 2 dishwasher tablets left and we could find no washing up liquid or bin bags for the recycling. The recycling bins were not labelled and did not contain bin bags. There were no matches/lighters, torch and though there were candles, we needed to light these during the power cut during Storm Austen. This was when the owner gave us the PIN for the cupboard under the stairs and where we found some bin bags. This PIN needs to be added to the information book which could do with updating. If guests are expected to bring these sorts of items themselves they need to be told. An 'emergency box' in the cupboard might be worth considering if power outages are common. Overall, we had a lovely stay and thanks for the use of the house and its location.

The views are stunning but I would say that the property itself needs a bit of tlc.

The garden has been neglected. Only one of the bedrooms has any hanging space for clothes. I would suggest that someone goes through the cupboards to throw out the out of date condiments. Parking is adequate for one car. The property was warm and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at burry house.

The house and the view of the estuary are amazing. But was a little disappointing was there was a leak under the kitchen sink I wasn’t sure how bad it was so reported it to the owner, he was swift to send someone around to fix it but you don’t really want that while you’re on holiday. Also the cleanliness wasn’t brilliant. Food down the sides of the settee cushions. But despite that I would book again . Thanks
