With stunning walks up to the White Stone with views over the Bristol Channel and into the Brecon Beacons, Alternatively climb up to the Folly and Shell Grotto or wander down into Pontypool Park and the American Gardens to admire the local history, The Brecon and Monmouthshire canal is a 12 minute drive away - easy walking along a well established canal path and cycle track, Travel deeper into the Brecon Beacons National Park - with Sugarloaf being 17 miles and Pen Y Fan 38 miles.

Cwmcarn Forest boasts plenty of walking and mountain biking options 25 minutes away and Bike Park Wales less than 45 minutes by car, Alternatively there are plenty of off-road riding options directly from Grandads Shack.
