"There is so much to see and do here."
Right from the front door you can walk to the beach at Aberfforest. Turn left and you get to another beach at Cwm yr Eglwys, walk round the headland and you get to the beach at Pwllgwaelod where you can book a sauna on the beach or have a pint and excellent food at the Sailor Safety. Turn right and you get to Newport with its fabulous restaurants (Llys Medic, The Canteen, Blas at Fronlas, Tides) and pubs(Golden Lion, Castle etc). This is a place where you can open the doors and let your kids and dogs just roam - there are no cars except your own.

"What a lovely character property."
It was just what we wanted, with all it's quirks we knew what we were getting from the listing and made sure we took what we thought we would need (ie a microwave). The location was quiet and secluded and great for walking the dog. We wanted somewhere to relax and that's what we got.
Thank you Karen for your kind feedback. It's so nice to hear people enjoying their stay. If you want seclusion and walks straight on to the Pembrokeshire Coastal path then you have come to the right place

"Tai Bach is situated in the most amazing position along the Pembrokshire coast with a public footpath right outside the front door leading to a very quiet beach with access to the Coastal Footpath then miles & miles of walking paths - our collie loved it."
The farmhouse was down a long steep track which was secluded & very quiet. We visited at Christmas but should love to return in the summer months to experience all that the area offered.
Downstairs shower was a bit hit & miss, would have been useful if there were more than just 2 saucepans but we managed.
I should have noticed too that Christmas decorations were not listed on the website but we soon sorted that.
All in all a very relaxing Christmas. Would recommend if you like walking.
I am so pleased that you had such a lovely stay and that you plan to return in the summer (I hope to Taibach).
Just for next time, there are 8 saucepans in total and they are stored in the alcove to the right of the cooker and in the narrow cupboards to the left and right of the cooker. Another place is the corner cupboard under the kettle. I guess they get moved around a bit with everyone staying putting them back in different places
I do take your point on the downstairs shower. It is almost brand new and when the water feed is very cold it can give you quite a variance in temperature.

"What can I say,Perfect it’s all it said it would be,the house is pure bliss down a long driveway and sits on it’s own, you can’t hear a thing, amazing walks along the coast path straight from the house, a private beach all to your self,(well we did, not a soul in sight)highly recommend the walk from house to Dina’s point and then lunch at the sailers pub."
We even saw dolphins.we will definitely be back. We loved everything about this amazing house and location.
Thank for this lovely feedback - it makes such a difference to us when we hear people say how much they have enjoyed themselves. Its seclusion and access to the coast are what makes it so special. Thanks for your feedback and I hope you come again next year.

"This cottage is in a lovely spot, so close to the beach and right on the coastal path."
Although tucked away many people find the path, some wander into the grounds of the cottage thinking it's part of the walk which we didn't like. The cottage was clean and welcoming despite the musty smell on arrival. The kitchen equipment is basic. The range cooker was great once we worked out how to use it. The instructions weren't really helpful. A microwave would make a difference especially with no dishwasher. The grounds were lovely, the patio spoilt the outlook as it is overgrown and makes the outside look derelict. Not inviting to sit out in. One of the main bedrooms is on the otherwise of the cottage with no toilet facilities which were downstairs, not great in the middle of the night. Bed was super comfortable but duvet and pillows way too soft for my liking.
Lots to like about this cottage, just a few niggly things needed to push my rating up.
Thank you for your response and suggestions. The patio has been cut back now - it had got overgrown but we liked it that way to a point. We will give some thought to a microwave as a number of people have mentioned this. I hope you will book again next year.

"This is an old country farmhouse so don’t expect perfection but it is very homely clean and lovely."
Very spacious with two
lounges and a big kitchen. Lots of games and books and local information which was really helpful. It is in a fantastic position for walks to Cwm yr eglws and Newport and of course the beach for a swim. I would recommend - we had a lovely time.
We are so pleased you had such a lovely time. Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback and we hope to see you next year or before.

"This cottage was perfect for us and is located in a beautiful part of Wales."
Bedroom set up worked really well, my son and his family in the main bedrooms, and me and my husband up another staircase to our separate room. We listened to the squirrels playing in the walnut tree every day. We were blessed with good weather and having the beach so close was amazing for the children, even the 3 year old managed the daily short walk. The use of the Kayak was a lovely surprise and great fun, we weren't sure initially which one it was but a quick message to the owners and they confirmed. The coastal path is easily accessible. We're already looking at rebooking for next year.
It's so nice to read people's feedback when they have had such a good time in nature. The squirrels eat every single walnut - we have never had one. See you next year.

"Return visit as we enjoyed our stay late last year so much."
Obviously more enjoyable in the summer, sitting out listening to the birds and on 2 evenings having a spectacular aerial display by the house Martin’s. Proximity of the beach is superb. The area offers a lot and this cottage is very comfortable, our mattress and pillows in particular were lovely ( not always so in rented accommodation) , the 2 lounges are incredibly comfy- our dog amazingly chose the one , we had the other ;-) We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this lovely place.
David, Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again.

"The cottage is in an idyllic situation and its close proximity to the local beach a very short walk down the footpath was wonderful."
However we found some of the cottage facilities were a bit tired and below the standard expected. In particular the cleanliness of some of the kitchen equipment was poor. The plastic chopping boards were covered with mouldy food stuff, the bodum coffee press still had coffee grounds left in it ,trays had mould spotting on the surface and the draining rack for washing up was old and very dirty. Consequently we didn't use these and we felt that we needed to wash everything we used before use ( not what you want to do when on holiday)However the cooker was clean the fridge was clean. The tea towels and bath towels were quite tired as well but bed linen was excellent. It was obvious that the owners have recently invested money on the property lovely new windows and doors and new downstairs loo and sink. I know this sounds like a lot of complaining but we felt that it was such a shame that for the money we paid it missed the mark being let down with some tired facilities and and more time was needed on the cleaning regime especially in the kitchen. It could be wonderful.
Trevor, We always appreciate feedback so thank you. We have now ordered new chopping boards and a new draining rack. The tea towels are brand new as are the bath towels so I wonder if some of the laundry that we store in the laundry cupboard as spares has got mixed in with the towels that you are supposed to be using.
We do of course rely on previous holiday makers to leave cutlery and plates clean but I will ask our cleaners to take a look each week.
I do hope you enjoyed your stay and I hope you will book with us again. This is our first year letting our house so we are still learning.

"Whilst the location is great, the house leaves a little to be desired, though it is clean and well presented, and definitely dog friendly."
We can see there has been some money spent on internal painting, window furnishings, living room furniture and the shower room, but the 1980s Kitchen does require some proper attention. The old wooden drainboard leaks into the cutlery drawer below and the property management did valiantly try a timely reseal, but this has also failed. There was no Microwave present, or obviously present in the Kitchen, or the Storage cupboard, even though one was listed in the ad. This and no dishwasher makes for too much time in the Kitchen when on holiday. Outside, the rear patio has become rather overgrown with weeds outside the Lounge spoiling the view a little; the grounds were otherwise well maintained with cut grass areas. Also, perhaps the ad should show a Floorplan to enable people to understand the house layout and potential restrictions this may cause; the house can be split as it has 2 staircases (one spiral staircase to one bedroom), but the shower room is downstairs. The information booklet at the property should have the property facilities information at the front, such as details on the space heating, where the hot water switch is, where the oven switch is, especially if these are always to be turned off on leaving. If there is a microwave in the range oven, then this should be listed in the book up front as well (instructions on how to use each compartment in the range oven would have been handy). All in all, we had a comfortable stay and were pleased how well the dog was catered for with a crate, bedding and bowls available for use.
David
Thank you for your feedback. It is always appreciated and we do listen.
We have taken the microwave off the listing - we have never had one and it being listed is an oversight.
We have now cut back the patio since your visit particularly the area that leads from the lounge. We do like it a bit overgrown as it encourages some lovely butterflies in the summer but I think you will see a great improvement.
I have put the instructions for cooker/heater etc in the visitor information booklet as you suggest and I will ask Coastal cottages if they think a plan is a good idea.
Thank you again for your feedback and I do hope you will book again soon.

"What a fabulous place, we didn't want to leave!"
The location is stunning and the cottage has a lovely homely feel to it. It was clean, the beds wore comfy and it was very well equipped. We were lucky to have beautiful sunny days to spend on the nearby beach, in the woods around the cottage and walking along the cliffs. It's such a special place and we hope to return one day.
Elizabeth, Thank you for your lovely review and I do hope, as you say, that you come back soon.

"What a lovely place."
We were the 1st ‘guests’ to stay in this lovely home from home. We want solitude, peace, zero light pollution, a feeling of being remote but still in touch and quiet, this cottage ticked all those ‘boxes’. It’s a comfy homely place to stay and well equipped, the bed we slept in was very comfortable. There was no mobile reception on EE or Vodafone but the wireless reception via the satellite internet set-up was excellent and we could stream on the iPads and smart TV when we wanted to.Our 2 Labradors loved it, they adopted one of the 2 lovely lounges as home! The local beach reached via the path is super ( bring good walking boots/ wellies) and we enjoyed the seal who popped up to view us, get to the waterfall just up from the beach. The owner was very helpful with friendly tips before the holiday. This part of Pembrokeshire is serene and beautiful and this is an ideal base to explore it from- there are SO many wonderful places to visit and it’s heaven for walkers. We loved our week here.
David,
Thank you for your feedback and booking to come again. We really love seeing people enjoy the place as much as we do.
