The garden was amazing, huge and covered in lush green grass, beautifully edged by large mature trees. Detached property which provided privacy but felt connected enough to neighbours to not feel alone. The kitchen/diner was a huge plus point to the property as was the utility room and wet room - these all made the property extremely convenient for us as a family. We had incredibly hot weather which certainly helped, but every morning we enjoyed opening the double set of patio doors and eating outdoors listening to the birds and admiring the views. The owners are lovely people, who genuinely care about their property and the people who stay there. We are grateful to have stumbled across Pondfield Gate and would love to return.

The owner met us with a friendly and informative greeting and was available should we have needed her during the holiday. Wet weather kept us indoors on several occasions but this was not a problem in such nice accommodation. There is little to commend the village of Cymgors itself except that it is a convenient base for visits to Cardiff, Swansea, the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, all within an hour's drive.
