  • "We had a lovely bank holiday weekend."

The cottage is so peaceful. It was so good to come back to after a day exploring. We had a great nights sleep in the pitch blackness and quiet of the night. Also in a quality mattress and bedding- this makes such a difference. Lovely big towels too. Everything is laid out ready to find. Fresh flowers, eggs,Welsh cakes and milk (thank you) We didn’t use the fire and ample fuel but it was all there to use. Lovely to have a dishwasher too ( would rather have that than a washing machine any day!) For those people who say they miss a walk in shower - well you can manage quite well with what is provided (and I speak as someone who’s had 2 new hips and a knee replacement in the last 3 years!) The wrap around garden is a delight and our 2 little dogs loved running around and hiding from each other. The views are amazing- from every window. To wake up and look over the fields and hear the birds and smell the air is a such a pleasure. We were at peace here and look forward to going back. Thank you both for letting us share your home.

It is ideally situated for the Presili hills, and the coast, and very dog friendly with its enclosed garden. The one addition for me would be a fixed shower, as stated in previous reviews, but we managed fine. Highly recommended, and would definitely return.

The only fault we could see was the lack of a washing machine, we would have rather had that than the dishwasher. The kitchen area could do with an update as it is looking very old and some of the veneer is peeling, also the paintwork on the doors. other than that we had no problems at all, it is a lovely cottage and good if you have a dog Dianne the owner introduced herself on the first day, lovely lady made us feel very welcome and the fresh eggs, milk and welsh cakes were delicious.

The garden was very secure for our 2 dogs, who also loved their holiday. The town centre is only a 10 min drive away which boasts a lovely butchers a few shops and chip shop, which was great with friendly staff. Lots of information in the cottage on things to do, Poppit sands beach and Newport beach were great for letting the dogs run free. On arrival it was great to have been left some milk and welsh cakes and some eggs, from the owners chickens which were delicious. with a lovely display of flowers on the table. Would definatley recommend to anyone, this is a very well looked after little gem. Thanks to the lovely owners.

It is a perfect offer for dog owners, lovers of fresh produce (generous welcome pack and very functional kitchen), walkers, and everyone seeking peace and contact with nature. Facilities are spot on and the family who owns the cottage couldn't be more welcoming and accommodating. A real gem and a rare find, everything as described in the advert. Hopefully we will book Jacdo in warmer months next year, however we managed to do a fair bit of walking and exploring in late November, warming up by the cosy fireplace in the evenings. We loved the cottage so much, that we wanted to extend a two week stay, but we missed it: someone else made a booking in the meantime. Highly reccommended. Thank you and see you again.

Accommodation fine in a pretty cottage,. Very quiet location, ideally situated for all the delights Pembrokeshire has to offer. My partner who is into astronomy particularly loves the lack of light pollution here. This was our second visit to the property and I am sure it will not be our last. Great hosts offering welcome pack, which my sister ate pre us arriving! Secure garden which was fantastic for our dogs. Thanks. :)

  • "Property was just as described in the listing, clearly stating location and distances to facilities ie 2 miles to local village, Crymych."

Beautiful, cozy, well equipped and thought out cottage, owner Diana welcoming, but discreet, with a lovely welcome pack of flowers, eggs, milk and Welsh cakes. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living area and the woodburner a plus! Cozy bedroom and bed but so comfortable we slept well! Lovely location ten minutes to villages and tourist attractions, and bigger towns and coastal paths not too much further. Only suggestion on how the stay could be improved; there is a Bath with ‘shower overhead’ but this is handheld only and was very awkward to wash hair and body holding shower head or putting back on tap hook. A hook on wall would be great BUT understand with sloping roof this may be the reason why it’s not but it was a bit of a palaver and was worried of making floor too wet as no shower curtain or screen. A little thing otherwise a lovely relaxing week in a beautiful cottage in a lovely part of Wales.

    Reviewed by Debra4.7Oct 2021

  • "The cottage was lovely but more remote than we thought it would be."

There were no walks with the dogs directly from the cottage and a car was needed just to get to the village. It would have been nice to have directions to and from the village available in the cottage as we kept getting lost around the narrow lanes. Also one problem in the cottage was no shower curtain and nowhere to hang the shower.
