  • "The Old Creamery is a stunning property, it is also bigger than the pictures indicate."

    It was perfect for our family of four. The location is very peaceful with a steam running past the property. It's close to the local town and amenities. The facilities within the property were excellent, the kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed.

  • "We loved The Old Creamery, it's a lovely feel and environment, especially the large kitchen-living area, the stream outside and the trees."

    It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our only discomfort was the sleeping temperature. After a very hot summer, we were pleased to learn that fans had been included in all the bedrooms, however even with daytime temperatures of around 22 degrees, the bedrooms were around 25-26 degrees. We had to remember to open the windows in the afternoon, but then closed them overnight as we were worried about mossies from the river. The new fans were noisy on the lowest setting, and flat bed sheets hadn't been provided, only a duvet. But we managed okay - so my only feedback would be quieter fans and a flat bed sheets. However I'm not sure how someone would manage there in 25-30+ degree heat unfortunately.

  • "This property is a converted factory, and completely unique- a must see."

    It is very roomy with really high ceilings and modern furniture. The whole place is luxuriously equipped (especially the kitchen). We had no kids with us, but I noticed it had baby gates, a cot, and a potty and steps in the ensuite bathroom, so it would be perfect for a family with young children. We even found an adorable wooden hobby horse in the utility room! All around a thoughtfully furnished and lovely place to stay close to many interesting places to visit.

  • "We enjoyed our stay here but wish to point out the following so the owner is aware of these issues."

    No hot water on the first night /morning, had to contact the owner who remotely turned it on as somebody forgot to turn it on or didn’t know we were staying. No normal TV only google which we couldn’t access at all during our stay, (had to use our iPad to view anything). Is that so the owner doesn’t have to purchase a TV licence? Cooker hob, glass cooker doors and microwave could have been cleaner. High level cobwebs in open plan living area and on landing area. Flies on downstairs window areas. Lots of marks on walls which could do with attention and on some of upstairs furniture. Loose floor tiles in en-suite.

    Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the Creamery and thank you for taking the time to document the issues encountered. Firstly, let me apologise again for the absence of hot water on your arrival. This was my oversight and going forward I'll double-check to ensure the heating/hot-water system is operational on check-in. The property is covered by a TV licence so guests can legally watch BBC iPlayer and live broadcasts. I'm sorry that on-demand services through Google TV were not working as intended. I'll prioritise to fix this. I am yet to connect to terrestrial as the coaxial socket is installed away from where the TV is positioned and you are the first guests to request this. I'm always looking to improve so I'll aim to find a solution. I've raised the kitchen cleanliness shortcomings, cobwebs and dead insects with the cleaners. These areas will be added to their cleaning check-list. I schedule maintenance periodically so I'll look to address any general wear issues when I am able.   • "We spent a beautiful week staying in the Old Creamery whilst visiting family in the area."

    We had everything we needed and loved the open plan living style downstairs. Sitting out on the decking listening to nature was a highlight of the holiday. Lots of lovely places to visit in the area and finding the Llandeilo Swing Bridge which has been granted official Bathing Water Designation from 2026 was a surprise bonus we hadn't planned for. Perfect for paddling and swimming on a very hot day! It was perfect for our multi-generational family holiday and week definitely be coming back again!

  • "Very beautiful, recently renovated, spotlessly clean."

    Lots of space. The main living area is huge with high ceilings and lots of light from all the windows. Very nice fully-equipped kitchen. Washing machine downstairs, very convenient. Even better in person than it looked in the pictures! A real gem. I was there in winter and it was peaceful and quiet the whole time. Lots of great walking in the area. The host was very friendly and communicative, helpful when needed. I'd love to be able to visit again sometime!

    An amazing place well above expectations. Great family space. We were a party of 4 and can’t fault anything. Marvellous beds, lovely crisp linen, soft towels, great bathrooms. Downstairs toilet a great extra I wasn’t expecting. We used the bus to go to Swansea, lovely Llandeilo walking distance. Visited Wales Botanic gardens, Aberglasny, lots of castles. Can definitely recommend

  • "We stayed as a family of four with two university-age boys."

    All of us were wowed by the property as we entered. The photos on the website almost don't do the place justice. The location and the accommodation are perfect. It suited us both as a place to relax and as a base to explore the Brecon Beacons/ Bannau Brycheiniog and the Gower. This place is a newish holiday let so there are very few reviews to go off; we would highly recommend it. We would love to go back but can foresee that word will travel fast about the 2, Old Creamery and it will be difficult to book again! Amazing place. 10/10.

  • "Amazing house, such a large bright space upstairs and down and real character."

    We has everying we needed in terms of facilities. Great location, very quiet, we really like having the river Cennen so close, it was soundtrack to snoozing off and waking up! The kids really liked watching the occasional trains going slowly through the trees opposite.We could easily walk to Llandeilo, great town, and into the Dinefwr estate, good location for exploring Camarthanshire and getting into the Brecons.

The property

Three The Old Creamery is a unique, newly renovated former industrial premises nestled in the village of Ffairfach, Carmarthenshire.

The centre of Llandeilo is a 10-15 minute walk across the impressive Llandeilo bridge which crosses the river Tywi.

The Old Creamery offers an idyllic, peaceful escape for a family or group of friends. The high-specification renovation brilliantly exploits the expansive proportions of the former Llandeilo Butter & Cheese Factory to create an extraordinary living environment.

Light and space are abundant while the solid-wood flooring and wool carpets impress solidity and luxury.

Despite the grand dimensions, The Old Creamery is always cosy thanks to underfloor heating on both floors.

Three The Old Creamery is a great base for exploring southwest Wales and Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons).

Ffairfach sits on the westernmost edge of the national park, allowing easy access to myriad walking routes.

To the west, the vast Dinefwr estate is just 10-15 minutes by foot and Gelli Aur Country Park and Aberglasney Gardens are both a short car or cycle trip. In addition, Ffairfach railway station, situated on the Heart of Wales Line, is only a few metres from the front door.

This makes it easy to arrive by train or explore market-towns further to the north such as Llangadog and Llandovery. Inside The Old Creamery you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen/dining area with all the essentials for a self-catered stay, including double ovens and six-burner gas hob and a dish-washer.

Ffairfach is a charming countryside village resting between Llandeilo and Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, South Wales. The Welsh name for the village is Ffair-fach signifying 'little fair' and is now known for its excellent rail links, whilst offering a choice of attractions including the National Trust's Dinefwr, a spectacular 17th-century house with castle ruins, a nature reserve, lake and a deer park. Dining options include The Torbay Inn for traditional pub grub, whilst you can stock up on essentials at the village shop. Just north of Ffairach lies Llandeilo, home to a small art gallery and a selection of eateries to choose from, whilst the larger town of Carmarthen is to the east where guests can marvel at Carmarthen Castle. The coast is a short journey away for the vibrant city of Swansea with a whole host of attractions on offer. Outdoor adventurers will have easy access from Ffairfach to the Brecon Beacons National Park for its gentle hills, wildlife and scattering of pleasant market towns.
