  • "Extended family wknd away break for our elderly fathers birthday."

. House was as seen in photos, well equipped kitchen, great views, comfy beds. Only a few niggles.. Floor beneath the big sofa is filthy, cleaners obv dont move it, and also when you sat on it and the cushions curved you could see down between them, and at the ends, it was full of dog hair. Cleaners need to do a better job in and around the sofa. Other than that we had a great stay!

nice touch having local bread, eggs, jam and milk waiting for us. plenty of parking and walking distance to town and lower town along marine walk. we especially loved it as our family come from Fishguard.

  • "Amazing host, arrived and there was a few treats from the local farm shop (milk, bread etc)."

Beautiful location looking out of Fishguard harbour, amazing views from the 4 rooms on the back of the house (Kitchen, living room, double bedroom and twin bedroom). Very spacious property that suited our large family of 8, lots of areas for people to relax without being on top of each other. Definitely recommend and will be returning in the future. Robert.

  • "Lovely location A very good welcome pack which was much appreciated Unfortunately the property is in need of maintenance: - Floorboards ill-fitting and noisy."

Mould in shower Also the layout in the garden was most concrete with some very tired decking and the steps up to latter were dangerous and I managed to fall on them If the owners could make these improvements this property could be an absolute gem

Murmur y Mor has benefited from a new kitchen and renovation of the bedrooms and shower room over the course of the winter. We have also renewed the decking so much of the comments in this feedback are now not relevant. However, the location is still fantastic and we still provide a lovely welcome pack. • "We have just spent a fantastic week at Murmur Y Mor."

What a gem - brilliant sea views from the kitchen, lounge and 2 bedrooms. The photos do not do the views justice. We loved watching the ferry coming and going and even spotted dolphins the other side of the port wall. Bring a set of binoculars to have on hand. The house is very well equipped with everything you could need. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well with lungs full of sea air. Our kids (teens) enjoyed the pool table in the sun room. There is plenty of outdoor space - although mostly concrete, there is a decking area. We’d have liked a BBQ but we managed with our portable one. The house is clean and tidy but not sparkly new. This suited us just fine. The only tiny negative for us was that the laminate flooring downstairs isn’t laid very well and is very bouncy and creaky (noisy) to walk on. We soon got used to it though. Lots of stairs from the outside space up to the kitchen help keep you fit! The location of the house right on the coast path is fantastic. A short walk down to Goodwick in one direction and Lower Fishguard in the other. We carried kayaks and paddle boards down to Fishguard. There are steps down to an area where we could plop them straight in the water and explore the harbour mouth. We’ve had a great week and miss it already. Thank you Murmur Y Mor.

The house is lovely and spacious but needs a serious deep clean from top to bottom the stairs were covered in dust the kitchen table has debris in the grooves the oven doors were wobbly and the downstairs twin bedroom to the right has a huge damp patch which was covered by the chest of drawers my son slept in this room and I didn’t realise until I went in the room halfway through the week and smelt the musty smell there was also used poo bags at the bottom of the outside steps

Murmur y Mor has been renovated and now boasts a brand new kitchen. We renovated the bedrooms at the same time and have addressed the issues you mentioned. Thanks for letting us know as it's given us the opportunity to improve the property for the enjoyment of our guests. Matthew, Sarah and team ❤️ Property Owner

We enjoyed watching the ferries coming in or having breakfast looking out to the sea. We came to visit the beeches and used this location as our central point it was enjoyable to come back from our beech days to relax and use the games room. This was a bonus for the children, they enjoyed their time here.

  • "It is a beautiful house and very well equipped, the view is of course beautiful, just a pity that the windows were not clean at all, otherwise there was some maintenance, for example, the shower door was loose, the sink did not drain properly and some locks worked not good."

The rental price is very reasonable for what is offered.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We have a window cleaner who calls every two weeks so the windows are usually spotless! Sorry to hear that there were issues with the shower door and some locks. If we had been made aware of it we could have rectified it during your stay. It has now all been put right. Hope to see you again soon. Matthew and Sarah. Property Owner

It was in a fabulous location to explore the surrounding areas and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect so thankyou to the owners! The only thing that would have been handy was access to a vacuum as the property is rather large, this would have been easier than the sweeping brush.

Thank you. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. The vacuum is a good idea. We will get one for guests to use. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

Almost everything we needed was provided. We loved the high table and chairs in the kitchen so we could eat while watching the beautiful bay, and the children could watch the Ireland ferry coming and going! A few things could be improved eg the basement, but we had a great week's holiday and we would go there again.

We loved getting up in the morning and seeing the views. Playing pool in the evening and watching the ferry come and go. The immersion heater was on when we arrived and making a lot of noise so we turned it off. The only thing that would have been useful would be some instructions for the cooker but we worked it out
