  • "Thank you to Gwyneth and Michael for their warm welcome to their lovely cottage."

There was everything you could possibly need provided and a very thoughtful excellent welcome pack on arrival and a lovely surprise bottle of wine midweek. The cottage is spotlessly clean and very comfortable and homely lovely friendly neighbours. Perfectly situated to wander through Laugharne and only a short drive to places to visit. Would recommend the Portreeve for an amazing home cooked Sunday lunch. We had a fantastic week and the weather for the end of November couldn't have been better. We would certainly return here and have no hesitation in recommending the cottage and the hosts! Thank you again Jean Andrew & Mo

  • "We had a great stay at 3 Horsepool Road!"

The property was very well looked after, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you need. There is a lovely south facing garden which unfortunately we didn't get to use as it was November, but it would be a perfect space to enjoy a nice drink and/or meal in the summer months. The position of the property is ideal, just a short walk from the centre of Laugharne and it's restaurants/cafes. Gwyneth and Michael who own the property checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and the complimentary bottle of wine on arrival went down very well with our first nights meal!

Thank you for your feed back. It is so important to us that you enjoy your stay and feel at home. So glad you had a lovely week. It was lovely to meet you. We would like to wish you a merry Christmas from Gwyneth and Michael. Property Owner

Lovely welcome items left for us thank you. Very comfortable nothing too much trouble. Lovely garden and despite the time of year and weather turning still managed to have lunch in the garden which was lovely. A lot of pubs and restaurants in the village and I would lightly recommend the Turkish Delight ice cream from the Cambrian Ice cream van by the car park at the Grist. Some amazing places to visit there’s the four waterfalls, Pendine and Llansteffan. Further afield there is Barafundle bay which was fab and Rosselli on the Gower AONB which was also stunning. Overall Would highly recommend this cottage and the area.

Thank you for booking our cottage and your very kind feed back. So glad you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. And our lovely Laugharne and touring round the local area and visiting the lovely coastlines. The lovely ice cream from the van at the Grist. So glad you enjoyed. • "We loved the cottage so much that whilst we were there we booked for next year."

Gwyneth is a wonderful host. The cottage is so well equipped that you don't need to take anything with you! Off road parking, for us is essential and there is more than enough room to park with a very short distance to the cottage. You can even see your car from the bedroom window. The neighboring cottages are lovely and were so welcoming to us. I can't recommend this lovely home from home enough. We can't wait to go back next year. One thing I would say is that it is so immaculately clean that when you leave, please leave it as clean as you found it.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed including a secure and very pretty garden for the dog. The private parking was a bonus. We appreciated the cake on arrival. We managed to visit lots of places without having to drive very far. Saundersfoot, Tenby, Carmarthen and Pendine are all worth a visit if you don’t want to go too far. We walked the short route into the village sometimes twice a day. Plenty of amenities here including a chemist, shop and plenty of places to eat.. my daughters thought Arthur’s was the best and all dog friendly. A pathway around the castle takes you to see Dylan Thomas boat house and his writing shed with amazing views down over the estuary. Would recommend this lovely cottage for a break all year around.

The garden is a very good size and is enclosed which was great for our dogs. We were also able to use the patio area on numerous occasions due to the fact that the weather was okay. The parking arrangements were not an issue as it is only across the road in the Church car park. The location of the cottage is only approximately 8 minutes away from the main town which is quieter at the beginning of the week but didn't cause a problem as we went further afield during this time. The owners are helpful and the welcome pack was extremely thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would recommend (and return to) this cottage and Sykes.

  • "Comfortable cozy cottage."

Lovely welcome from the owners. Great enclosed garden, which was a must with our dog who can jump fences. Very well equipped kitchen, if you want to cook. The village is only a few minutes walk-quieter at the beginning of the week and so fewer places to eat out in the evenings then. Busier towards the end of the week. Laid back sort of place, ideal to wind down. Dylan Thomas's boathouse and favourite pub are the main attractions, and both worth a visit! Good base to explore the surrounding areas.
