"To start, we love Shearwater."
The location is perfect ro enjoy the peace but also as a base to explore Pembrokeshire. The amenities provided are wonderful-everything you need is there. This is our second stay here and always feel comfortable.
However cleanliness and maintanence let it down this time. Someone's socks behind the TV, thick dust and cobwebs, some damage to amenities. All easily fixed with a better cleaning and check between stays.

"The property is in a nice quiet area on the river."
We enjoyed the wildlife. Garden though could of been better. The kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of games and books to use. Cleanliness was ok, but we did find some rubbish under bed. There were no clear instructions about rubbish and with 6 adults staying, it soon built up. We consider coming back later in the year.

"Fantastic setting and everything inside you could possibly need an absolutely brilliant place to spend your holiday."
The only thing that let it down the picnic bench outside was dilapidated and had been tipped upside-down and left and the bench was also in need of repair or replacing. If these were sorted it would be getting 10 stars from us. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy the views
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Shearwater and everything it has to offer.
Thank you also for highlighting the issue with the picnic bench. We’re pleased to let you know that it is being replaced this weekend, and we’re also adding additional outdoor furniture so our guests can make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
We hope to welcome you back again soon!

"We had a lovely stay at Shearwater."
The cottage was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The beds were possibly the comfiest we've ever slept on in a holiday let. It was lovely watching the sunset over the estuary every evening and eating breakfast outside in the morning sun by the creek. Unfortunately the heating wasn't working for some reason, even thought the boiler was on and the thermostat was up, which meant it was very cold on the first two evenings. The garden was also very scruffy and unkept. The outside seating also needs updating. It would be nice to have an outside washing line too, especially for a costal property with lots of fantastic beaches nearby.

"We really loved the property, it was perfect for our family."
We did however struggle with ants getting in; we rang Sykes for advice who said they would let the owners know - We didn't hear back. We went through the bleach, cleaned the floors and bin every night. Couldn't use ant powder as we had a dog. Sykes were quick on the phone to call, they suggested buying products to get rid of the ants at our own expense. We left a day early in the end but it was really nice up until that point.
Hello very sorry to hear that you had a problem and it was not resolved to your satisfaction.
I was away last week so did not get Sykes’s message until I got back but will speak to Sykes and provide alternative contact numbers to ensure this does not happen again.

"Perfect stay over new year."
Quiet setting and can easy access local areas. Both adults, child and dogs had a great time.
The house took some time to warm but once warm was lovely. Beds very comfy and all amenities in great condition. We loved the addition of board games to play and books to read

"Had a lovely stay."
Beautiful location.
Comfy bed.
Well stocked kitchen.
Only downsides were very sensitive security light outside downstairs bedroom. On a windy night the light was on and off constantly through the night. Pretty annoying in downstairs bedroom. Maybe some blackout curtains would help.
House advertised with Woodburn fire plus complimentary 1st bag of wood. No wood and no fire place tools available, tongs, poker, brush ect.
Otherwise we had a lovely stay.

"Very quiet location right on the estuary."
The views from the property are fantastic with lots of bird life such as Sandpiper, Egret , Grebe, Curlew, Oystercatcher etc right in front of you!( binoculars recommend).
The property itself was very comfortable & clean. The facilities are excellent & in good working order. My only slight criticism: there was hardly any loo paper so make sure you bring some! Also no oven gloves or cushions on the dining table chairs as they are very hard if sitting for a little while.
The location is definitely it’s trump card. Loved it!
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback and really pleased you enjoyed your stay. Very sorry for the issues you have mentioned and we will ensure that your concerns are addressed.

"Shearwater was comfortable accommodation."
The view over the estuary was fabulous, so lovely to see the different birds etc. Nice size rooms and clean. The King size bed in upstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Great power shower. Kitchen was well equipped. Nice large tv in lounge and comfortable sofa and chair. Hot water and heating was easy to control. If one thing to mention it would be good to have a toilet roll in bathrooms just in case they were forgotten, lucky I did bring a couple!!. A better non stick frying pan also. Thank you for welsh cakes. Would stay again as a home from home and also close to Saundersfoot, Tenby and many other lovely places and castle's.

"An excellent property."
Spotless and well equipped. The listing does not do this quite large property justice.
The only concern I would have is it is bit isolated in a small hamlet down a lane. Lovely if you want a peaceful break however.

"Very comfortable beds and seating."
Lovely setting though further from shops than we expected. September can be cooler and darker so heating instructions and decent lighting for reading would have been helpful. And there was nothing about rubbish and recycling. Lots of things to do in the area. A very good stay

"Lovely property very well stocked, fabulous views, superbly quiet great neighbour."
Only down side is an old pond with stagnant water which is easily accessible so of course my dog jumped right in. Garden a bit rundown but again everything else was fabulous and views outstanding.

"Really lovely newly rented holiday home , everything you need, well stocked and very clean and great quality , lovely quiet location and great view."
The only down side is the out side could do with a tidy up, the owners are obviously painting the outside and ladders and scaffolding had been left up and there were paint tins and other stuff left lying around , didn’t bother us but would have been a problem if had children.
Thank you very much for the feedback. Apologises for the painting materials we had a local builder paint it for us and because of the weather he was not able to finish it and then went on holiday we are assured that it will be finished shortly and glad you liked Shearwater thanks Joel

"The only matk down was that the outside of the property is still a work in progress."
Walls are being repainted (no issue to us) the garden area requires some work but presume it will also be sorted this summer. The interior of the property was brilliant and the owners were very helpful.
