Broadford Farm Bungalow

A great base to explore the local area.

So peaceful. The hosts made us feel beyond welcome, it was like staying with family. Everything we needed and a great handover

The bungalow/facilities, location and helpful hosts were all excellent, and we had a wonderful seven days in this beautiful part of Wales.

My partner is disabled; Janice and John went the extra mile to accommodate his needs and we were touched by their level of support. We would certainly stay here again

Wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful.

A lovely bungalow in a delightful, quiet setting. Close to the shops and amenities of Cydwelli and with excellent roads to other areas. Do not miss visiting Cydwelli Castle and river walks around the town.

What a find!

Broadford Bungalow really didn't disappoint. We arrived to the warmest of welcomes from the owner, who showed us around. The Bungalow was extremely clean and comfortable and every detail seemed to have been addressed. The welcome pack was first class and fully appreciated after our journey. The Bungalow is in a quiet spot and the variety of birds visiting the garden was incredible and watching them gave us a lot of pleasure. Access to the cottage was easy for one member of our party on crutches as there are slopes rather than steps to negotiate and widened doorways. A massive thank you to the caring owners. If only all accommodation was up to this standard.

What a great place to stay, meet the owners Janice and John lovely and helpful nothing was to much trouble.

Great welcome pack as well which was very much appreciated. Janice gave us lots of useful information on places to visit which was really helpful. Lovely and clean, beds really comfortable. Loved watching the birds, such a relaxing holiday. So many interesting places to explore. John and Janice waited for us to leave so they could wish us a safe journey home which was really nice . Definitely would recommend staying here and have already booked to stay again next year.

We had a lovely stay at Broadford bungalow.

The property is extremely clean with everything you need. It is down a remote lane but close enough to local amenities. The hosts were on hand if needed without being intrusive. The welcome pack was much appreciated. We loved watching the birds feeding Many thank for making us most welcome.

The bungalow was perfect as was the location quiet and peaceful and full of wildlife to enjoy as you relax in the beautiful garden The hosts made us very welcome and could not have been better We will be returning soon

The Bungalow is massive, lovely clean and well equipped also has Sky TV which was great for my football loving husband.

Very quiet place, also Janice and John are great to talk too, and very helpful giving directions. Would gladly go back, loved to watch the river in full flood, fabulous 10 star property

Lovely accommodation which met all the needs of my disabled wife.

Brilliant for those who wish to have a cosy quiet break in lovely countryside John and Janice wonderful hosts always eager to help. Can not thank them enough for there assistance when my wife had a medical emergency. One point to note my phone reception was intermittent and Wi-Fi signal poor>this did not detract from a very pleasant stay

Broadford Farm Bungalow is very comfortable, immaculately clean and well adapted for guests with limited mobility.

It's in a peaceful location, well situated for exploring the coast, and convenient for the supermarket and other amenities. The friendly and helpful owners provide a generous welcome pack of local foodstuffs, and overall create a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We highly recommend this holiday property.

We had a Wonderful stay with Janice & John, Great Hosts very supportive, recommended for a relaxing break !

Thx Robert Ilham & Jasmine

We had a lovely relaxing holiday.

The bungalow is in a quiet, picturesque location. It is very clean and spacious, has a comfortable bed, good shower and a well equipped kitchen. It is a short walk to Kidwelly and is an ideal location to explore the beautiful county of Carmarthenshire. The hosts, Janice and John are lovely people and the welcome basket treats were delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Quiet, peaceful location but not far from local amenities.

Comfortable, warm property. Friendly and helpful owners nearby. We would definitely recommend.

We had a great time and the owners were very helpful

This was our best holiday for many years.

Our hosts were amazing & couldnt do more to make our stay special. The Bungalow was clean, bright & well equipped throughout. It was a delight to sit watching the many birds, some I have never seen before. It has to be special as I have just booked again for August, see you then Janice & John.

The owners, Janice and John, are delightful.

They are both extremely knowledgeable about the area and are very welcoming. The bungalow was spotless, warm and has everything you need. The area is quiet and picturesque; ideal for a walk. Facilities are close by in Kidwelly.

Absolutely stunning location perfect for visiting local attractions and totally awesome hosts.

John and Janice went out of their way to make the stay like a home from home and are our new favourite people. Welcome basket was a lovely touch. Would certainly love to return for some more amazing peace and quiet.

Very warm welcome on our second visit here plus a welcome pack , very nice.

A peaceful week to recharge our batteries .

it was as described as far as we were concerned it was perfect.

the hosts john and janice were extremely friendly and very helpful

We had a fantastic stay and Janice and John are brilliant hosts - friendly and welcoming.

We had everything we could need during our stay and would definitely return here if coming to the same area again. There were no negatives and nothing we could think of that could be improved; the welcome pack was amazing and very welcome! Well done, top marks.

The cottage is perfect.

It's in a very quiet location and is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Janice and John could not be better hosts, they provided everything we needed plus some lovely food and wine. There's a footpath nearby that provides easy (traffic-free) access to Kidwelly.

We spent a lovely 10 days in this property which was well-equipped and spacious.

The property was ideal for access to SW Wales and we visited many places including Tenby and Dillon Thomas's boathouse which was most fascinating. Owners Janice and John were excellent hosts and made us feel relaxed throughout our stay. Their keen interest in wildlife meant we could see from the patio door many species of birds and we witnessed the feeding of the local kite. Recommended holiday venue.

Every thing was as we hoped, the owners could not have been more helpful.

The garden and wildlife made it so relaxing. The bungalow had everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

A bird watchers paradise is how we'd describe it.

We woke every morning to various birdsong and enjoyed seeing the different birds flying to and fro. Janice and John were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. They're very generous welcome pack was so thoughtful. We had to go up and down a narrow windy lane but never encountered any other vehicle. We would very much recommend Broadford Farm Bungalow for a very peaceful and friendly holiday. Regards Gwyneth and Roy

Janice and John were the perfect hosts.

There was everything you could wish for in facilities even the kind gifts of wine and cakes. The bungalow was lovely and cosy and so nice and warm. The best experience was the Red Kite that came most days to be fed. Thank you J and J for a lovely 10 days.

The owners were there to greet us wnen we arrived and made us feel at home.

They were very helpful and welcoming.

We were really impressed with the property.

The owners were so welcoming. Great location for exploring castles.

Needing to book somewhere at the last minute we found Broadwater Farm.

It was exactly as hoped for; comfy beds, decent shower and a well equipped kitchen. There were even big mugs and not tiny cups provided - always a positive for me! The garden would have been lovely if it had ever stopped raining (although it was December in Wales!) and Janice and John were helpful hosts. We have stayed in many holiday rental properties in the area and this one definitely ticked all the boxes.

We couldn't have asked for nicer hosts, as Janice and John were lovely.

The property was amazing in a secluded spot. Thanks also for the welcome pack

Everything was OK.

Janice and Jon gave a a very friendly welcoming. Nice gift on our arrival. Cottage well cleaned and with all facilities.

The bungalow is spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and spotless.

It is located down a quiet lane and has a large garden with a pleasant outlook over fields. It was very peaceful and we slept well, the bed being comfortable. There was always lots of hot water, the WiFi worked well and the Sky package provided plenty of TV viewing choice. The only suggestion I could make is for softer lighting in the lounge (perhaps a standard lamp or 2 table lamps) as the ceiling and wall lights are very bright. The owners are extremely affable and helpful and quickly solved a minor problem. They gave us a very generous welcome pack, which was much appreciated. There are 2 easy ways of walking into Kidwelly centre, the longer one being 1.4 miles. The half-hourly X11 bus (Swansea – Carmarthen) can be caught there. However, there is also an infrequent but useful Morris Travel bus to Carmarthen (service 198) which can be caught at a bus stop in Mynydd-y-Garreg, only 7 minutes walk from the bungalow. There is a large Co-op in Kidwelly and the 198 bus stops there, so we found that convenient. We had excellent lunches at The Red Lion Inn in Llandyfaelog, Florentino's (Italian) in Carmarthen and Nik the Greek in Burry Port. Apart from one wet day, we had good weather and remarkably on two days it was warm enough to sit in the garden till 5pm. All in all we had a very pleasant week and enjoyed exploring an area with which we were not very familiar. The bungalow is well placed for trips out and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

A very comfy, homely and well set out cottage.

All requirements met. Janice and John were most helpful. Thank you kindly for the gift pack awaiting us on arrival. We devoured it. The local people in the pubs greeted us and were very welcoming. Irish and English among us. We had a great craic with them. We will definitely be back in 2024. Martin, Seamus and Daniel.

Friendly, generous and helpful owners of a nice comfortable property.

Directions for finding the bungalow rather vague with no place names or landmarks given. A bit "challenging" to sleep in a small double bed. Ought to be mentioned that there is no mobile coverage, except vodaphone (subject to weather conditions).

THE ONSITE OWNERS WERE VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY.

WE HAD MARVELLOUS WEATHER, AND A VERY GOOD HOLIDAY, AS IT WAS EASY TO RADIATE OUT TO MANY NEARBY ATTRACTIONS.

This is our second stay at the property and it was as good as the first.

Janice and John are lovely people. It gives us the space and peace required for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely rural location away from hustle and bustle but close enough for amenities.

Janice and John are superb hosts.

Warm and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The bungalow suited our needs. Lovely views, my husband was in thrall of the feathered variety. We really didn’t venture far due to my husband falling on our first evening. Where our hosts came to our rescue and promptly took us to the local hospital and stayed to ensure we got. Home safely. Lovely tranquil settings. We will be going back.

A well comfortable, equipped and maintained cottage.

Janice and John were great hosts with a genuine desire to make the most of our stay. the location is great, with abundant wild life feeding and playing feet from the patio doors. ( we saw more than a visit to a nature reserve). Hosts were knowledgeable of the local area and keen to point out places to visit if asked. It felt like saying goodbye to friends rather than hosts when we left.. In all a great cottage in a good location with caring hosts. A very relaxing week and wood not hesitate to book again.

Received a warm welcome on arrival from the owners , along with a welcome pack of cakes and milk.

Enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the birds on the feeders, and listening to the birds singing, very quiet and peaceful.Convenient location for visiting various places. We would certainly recommend the property and We hope to revisit in future.

The cottage is absolutely all that you want on holiday, clean, comfortable, warm and Janice and John are wonderful, friendly hosts who can’t do enough to please you!

We sincerely hope to return some time next year!

A very pleasant bungalow in which to stay.

Everything you need supplied. Very warm and comfortable and the addition of a large utility room made drying wet walking clothes and shoes easy to deal with. Large spacious wet room. Plenty of level parking. Extensive garden and grounds to walk in and see the birds. Our grandson loved it. Set in the country but only a short walk to a lovely Farm shop and cafe. Very friendly hosts. Hope to revisit.

Everything perfect from arrival to departure.

the cottage is everything that we asked for and more, very well equipped with everything you need for the holiday, John & Janice are very welcoming and helpful if you have any needs or queries, perfect location for a family holiday, couldn't of asked for a better week for our first family holiday, will defo look at booking again in the future.

My Husband & I had the most wonderful stay here.

The bungalow was clean, had everything we could need & more. The area was lovely, the river definitely worth exploring. A highlight of our stay was having a Red Kite visit us everyday, we even got to watch it swoop down for food right in front of us. All of that said, it was Janice & John who made our stay so wonderful. Warm welcome from the moment we arrived, their hospitality was just a joy, we honestly felt valued & more like family than guests. Diolch Janice & John, we cannot wait to return !!

The property and grounds were just so amazing.

Can’t remember feeling so relaxed and at home. John and Janice are the most amazing couple and made us feel like part of their family. The beauty and peacefulness made it feel like a bit of heaven. We will definitely be booking again and have already started telling family and friends how wonderful it is and that they should also look to book. Already have family wanting to book. Would highly recommend this beautiful home from home to anyone looking for the best holiday.

The most welcoming and friendly couple we've met.

John and Janice were great, nothing too much trouble. A lovely bungalow in a beautifully quiet and peaceful setting. And the apple crumble and custard was first rate. Thank you again.

The delightful Janice and John make you feel so welcome to their very comfortable bungalow on their farm.

There is a delicious welcome basket of food awaiting new tenants, and the couple are so friendly, helpful and generous. It was a real pleasure meeting them and sharing stories of Wales with them. The property is situated well off the main roads and is so quiet and idyllic. It is very well equipped and nothing is lacking. We chose it because it has an ideal location in the middle of South Wales - so you can go West/East and North and enjoy several days out. (A must: do visit Kidwelly Castle, one of the best in Wales). The excellent (and rather unexpected) weather did help, of course. Our thanks to Janice and John for a lovely week's stay.

The bungalow has everything you need, very restful, clean and welcoming really comfortable bed and pillows so a good nights sleep was guaranteed, ( really important on a holiday ) very peaceful surroundings.

The owners are nearby and available for any issues that may arise, though none did, extremely welcoming and friendly, with advice when asked of places to visit, probably one of the best breaks we’ve had and we will definitely be revisiting.

John and Janice were really nice and welcoming.

The cottage was comfortable.

Had an enjoyable stay in this lovely clean bungalow.

The owners Janice and John made us very welcome. There were some tasty goodies for us as well. Pleasant walks from the door to Kidwelly. Especially along the river.

A lovely little bungalow our hosts were great and very friendly and helpful couple, a good location for Exploring It is on a back road in a quiet location They Supplied us with a lovely welcoming pack milk in the fridge which was great.

We had a wonderful stay at Broadford Farm, peaceful, clean and lovely hosts with nothing too much trouble.

The bungalow has everything we needed to comfortable and self sufficient with a lovely outlook onto the large lawned garden that the kids loved. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful tucked away location that's still convenient for the wonderful Pembrey Country Park (just 5 miles down the road).

Janice and John are fabulous friendly hosts.

They had left us a welcome treat which was lovely. The bungalow was clean and homely, My wife has mobility problems but this was not a problem here. The garden has a tree that you can while away hours watching birds and squirrels feeding. Visited castles and beaches nearby. Sunday lunch at red lion - yummy! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

We had the most wonderful time in this lovely cosy comfortable bungalow which is ideally situated for coast path walking, which was our purpose for booking it.

Janice and John were lovely thoughtful hosts, we were delighted with the welcome pack of bara brith, welsh cakes, butter and milk which they had left for our arrival. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked the same week again next year.

We had a lovely stay in this clean and comfortable bungalow, which is equipped with anything you could possibly need!

It was so tranquil watching the blue tits and even a red kite swooping! It's handily situated, nowhere is too far to travel, whether it be exploring the beautiful landscape or the many beaches. We enjoyed a really restful break. John and Janice are superb hosts - never intrusive but happy to help in any way they can. It's a big thumbs up from us!

Welcoming hosts, lovely accommodation.

The holiday cottage was immaculate, though the furniture was a little old fashioned.

My husband found the bed to be too short as he is over 6 feet tall and his feet were hanging over the edge. John and Janice were lovely owners and greeted us with a smile. The welcome pack was extremely thoughtful. We would recommend this cottage to anyone under 6 feet tall until the bed is replaced, then we would recommend it to everyone.

The owners were very welcoming & very helpful with anything we asked of them.

Nice & quite spot there two way in to the cottage One way is down a one track road the other is much wider. The trains are very cheap to use. We had a wonderful stay .

The settees could do with a update.

Not very comfortable

We had a wonderful time in this great location, provided by lovely hosts.

Excellent get away with lots of beautiful beaches a short drive away. Would definitely recommend!

A real home from home complete with the most amazing hosts ever.

We will definitely be returning to this beautiful and peaceful place.

Broadford Farm Bungalow was a brilliant location and base to explore the area.

The bungalow was clean, well equipped with lots of outdoor space for the children to play. The location was quiet and the owners were welcoming, friendly and helpful, they were lovely. We would have no hesitation in recommending Broadford Farm Bungalow.

The cottage was a real home away from home and so comfortable and quiet.

So nice to have outside space - the weather was so good we ate outside most evenings. Janice and John were the perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful and full of practical advice for our days out. Many thanks to them both. Highly recommended.

The peacefulness, the wildlife in the garden.

Good base for visiting other areas eg. St David's., Botanical Gardens etc. You can walk to Kidwelly Village from accommodation. And most of all our hosts Janice and John, we received a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble, really lovely people. Also a lovely Welsh welcome basket, delicious.

Janice and John very welcoming hosts, even providing some cake and milk on arrival.

The cottage in a very peaceful setting.

John and Janice were very welcoming and helpful.

We had a very relaxing week in Kidwelly, both Janice and John were very welcoming, the added extras were a lovely touch with tea, coffee and sugar.

Some Welsh cakes and Barabrith when we arrived. Everywhere was lovely and clean and very comfortable. The only down side was the postcode doesn't actually take you to Broadford Farm. If you follow the signs to the" Industrial Museum" then you'll find the farm just passed it on the left.

A lovely homely bungalow,very comfortable.

Janice and John are extremely nice people and will do anything they can to help.We hope to visit again.

This was a lovely holiday Bungalow.

It is a little bit rural, and we did get lost trying to find the property, but we made a quick phone call to Janice and John and they met us at a predetermined spot and we followed them to the bungalow. Janice and John are 2 lovely people who would do anything for you to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. We couldn't find a tin opener in the drawers and when asking Janice if we could buy one anywhere, she said "it's and electric one on the counter next to the kettle and microwave" , so everything was there that was needed and a little bit more! Although the weather was "wet" for us, I would recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely welcoming hosts and really beautiful cottage, which was kitted out with much more than you would expect.

Spotlessly clean, and was sorry when our week was up. Can't rate this cottage highly enough.

That Janice and John were wonderful hosts.

As soon as we got there, they made us feel right at home. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was there. I will be recommending their property to my family and friends.

Fantastic hosts, fantastic location and fantastic bungalow

The holiday accommodation was ideally placed for touring the area.

Broadford farm cottage had all the necessary items for our needs and our hosts Janice and John were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We were blessed with good weather too. We would thoroughly recommend this property as a quiet rural retreat.

LOVELY COTTAGE JOHN AND JANICE (OWNERS) REALLY NICE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY

Very friendly greeting, Nice quite location and well equipped clean Bungalow.

We had a great time at John and Janice.

The bungalow is clean and really nice. Janice and John are very friendly and helpfull. Kidwelly is close by and you can walk there surrounded by sheep and bluebells. While on the couch there were a fox, a squirrel, red kites and woodpeckers to watch. Really perfect!

Janice and John were very welcoming and extremely helpful a fantastic couple we had a lovely week and would certainly recommend there cottage to everybody the cottage was excellent Barry and Jacky Sam and Angel

The property was very good , Janice and John where very helpful .

Had major problems with booking this holiday , all from Sykes end . Including properties listed that where not availiable for the weeks listed. We booked this property while talking to customer service department . Only to be told 4 hours later it was not on their books anymore . Then received a email from Mrs Davies welcoming us to the property ?? For such a big firm this was very disappointing . I would highly recommend this cottage .
