A home away from home set on the outskirts of Laugharne, we couldn't have asked for better holiday. Stuart and Andrea are welcoming, friendly and always at hand should you need them . They go above and beyond, 2 weeks just wasn't long enough for us we loved it ! . The surrounding areas have gorgeous beaches , lovely shops restaurants , pubs and cafes . Not to mention the castles, walks and so much for the kids . Highly recommend .

The owners where lovely and the farm and animals were amazing. Loved sitting in the hot tub watching the sunset. Do need to drive as not in walking distance to anything.

  • "Beautiful scenery and an ideal location for feeling safe from COVID."

The lane into the property requires some work as that is more than a little rough but well worth it when you arrive at your destination. Friendly, hard working owners. Fascinating menagerie of animals to watch and listen to.

) Welcome pack was an unexpected surprise. Homemade welsh cakes were lovely! The children were so happy to have such easy access to the animals and play area and we felt relaxed that they were able to play safely within sight. Hot tub was great too. I’m sure we’ll be back

  • "Meadow View is a lovely, spacious cottage with everything you need for a great holiday."

On arrival we found a welcome package including a most welcome bottle of wine. The animals at the small holding are all fairly tame and like to be petted. A joy to wake up to open fields, a donkey, goats and alpacas just across from the garden. The owners are lovely and really helpful. The only slight drawback is the 750ft rugged track down to the small holding being on a fairly steep hill. We had a wonderful week and will go back again.

About the location

LAUGHARNE

Tenby 16 miles.

Laugharne, with its majestic castle standing on a low ridge overlooking the wide Taf River Estuary, is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas, and a visit to his Boat House and the writing shed where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with breathtaking views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in quaint little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its seven mile stretch of beautiful flat sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. With walks in all directions, great days out at castles, mills and craft centres galore, this is a perfect base for all the family, at any time of the year.
