"Well presented and equipped cosy cottage."
Walks from the front door through Ferwig woods to the beach were wonderful.
Central location to explore up and down the coastine.
Great garden for our two dogs.
Remarkable value too.
Thank you.

"Great place to stay lovely big secure garden perfect for kids and dogs after reading some of the previous reviews some folk seem as though they are on 4 in a bed looking for anything to moan about its spot on yes I’m sure there are things you can pick at bit did they spoil the stay NO."
. Great kitchen with all you need house generally very warm the log burner is amazing tv with fire stick for all your viewing needs spotlessly clean very comfy bed nice quiet location. Good bus service from end of road into New Quay.
1 point be aware of the walk they promote to the waterfall and secret cove it’s basically an assault course to get there not a little ramble. All in all a good stay with 2 dogs would recommend

"Very basic cottage, outdated."
with a damp musty smell in the lounge. but not pet friendly, having to shut the dog in the hall every night causing upset, and anxiety, when in a strange place. no footpath to walk the dog outside the property, with fast traffic, my dog is walked not just left in a garden.
lovely neighbours, very helpful, and friendly.
We’re sorry that you and your dog didn’t enjoy Blaenferwig; it is a cottage and we try to keep a country feel to it as the photos show. The access to 2 paths does mean walking along a back road for 50 meters. We’ll note this and that the we ask kindly that dogs don’t go on the bed so that all customers can enjoy the cottage.

"This was a last minute weekend getaway."
Three kids and the dog. It was long time since we visited New Quay and we were up for a return visit.
The cottage was excellent.
Very comfortable and well decorated. We love a log burner and a blanket.
The garden was a lovely space for afternoon tea in the early evening sunshine. And safe for the boys and the dog.
We went on an adventure to find the waterfall and secret cove. The path was a little over grown, we should have worn wellies! The waterfall was stunning but we didn’t have time for the cove.
We went out on one of the dolphin boats on Saturday and saw lots including a mum and calf. Just magical.
We left on Sunday but carried on adventuring with a visit to cardigan castle.
A really splendid weekend. Diolch!

"Great location, with a fantastic outdoor-space."
However there were a few things that could be added. Kitchen and bathroom windows have no blinds and both bedrooms could benefit from heavy black out curtains. A BBQ/Firepit for outside would also be a great addition.
Regardless. The property was clean, comfortable and I’d highly recommend

"Lovely cottage with fantastic garden for dog."
Everything you need for cooking can be found in kitchen. Just couple small issues, a square bowl in the kitchen for washing up would be a plus as it was difficult to get large dinner plates out after washing up. Also the waste plug in the sink cannot be removed as it is stuck so getting bits out was difficult. In the bathroom the sink flow away needs replacing as there is nothing to stop small items falling down which would then be very hard to retrieve. Also it would be handy to have a small shaving mirror over the sink. There are some lovely walks and the pub in the village lovely food and very friendly

"Had a great few days at the cottage."
We were very comfortable and cosy with log burner, away from the vertical Welsh rain most days. Ideal position for exploring. Garden was great, our dog loved chasing a round in it. We would highly recommend it to others.

"The property was beautiful."
It was nice to relax with an enclosed garden and our pup. Only two items I could find to improve, the potato masher (Mr Bendy) and the lack of a toilet brush (not that we needed one) :-) Overall, the property was amazing and very well equipped. Modern cooker, microwave, toaster and even a cafetiere. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The large TV was modern and we had an HDMI with us, so were able to watch from my laptop. We couldn't have wanted for anything else. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you so much to the owners.

"A clean, cosy cottage with great walks from the doorstep!"
We enjoyed the large garden and especially the seating area which made the time spent with our dog in the mornings over a cup of coffee and in the evening with a glass of wine a great experience. Looking forward to return and explore more of the walks from the house!

"We had a lovely comfortable stay at Blaenferwig."
The cottage was well equipped and very clean. The dogs enjoyed the lovely big garden, it was a shame that we could not let them off lead because of the gate and their small stature but we managed with extending leads. A cottage that we would go back to.
We’re so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Blaenferwig. And thank you for your feed back, dog-proofing the gates for our very small four legged friends has now been done I'm glad to report. Hope to welcoming you again in the near future.

"Nice property, really close to New Quay."
The bath towels were a little small - and I'm not a big person. There was no welcome pack. I'm not sure if this is just a thing in other Sykes rental properties, but stuff like a bit of milk or a pack of biscuits, or a bottle of wine or beer. But that should not detract from the cottage. it was where we needed it in relation to a local wedding and the surrounding countryside is lovely.

"Nice clean cottage and we would stay there again."
It would help if there was a socket next to the mirror in the bedroom, also a mat by the side door would be a good idea as there is nowhere to wipe your wet or muddy shoes, overall it is a well equipped cottage which I would recommend to anyone.
