  • "Could have kept the walkway to the front door cleaner it was very dirty because of the weather but it was hard to keep the entry clean."

Other than that could have used some smaller hand towels in the bathrooms. But a very nice cottage!

  • "A lovely rural retreat, with easy access to woodland walks."

The area had a rich industrial history - we only realised this when we bumped into someone checking on the condition of some of the landscape features, and his comments caused us to dig deeper online!

  • "Absolutely loved the Pool House!"

We could not have asked for a nicer place to spend our weekend. Everything we needed was provided, including towels and treats for the dog. The garden was just right for our puppy to run around and play. Friendly owners next door but not intrusive at all.. lovely to meet them and their dogs. Will definitely return in the future for a longer stay .

  • "We had a lovely, relaxing time here."

The house was spotless and the mattress is just what the doctor ordered. We didn't cook too often, as there were some good eateries close by, but the facilities are more than adequate. There are several walks from the door and the fit ones may like to walk to the river, just remember you have to get back so save some energy. All in all a really good place to relax in or go exploring.

Thank you so glad you all enjoyed your stay with us. Property Owner

  • "I was very pleased with the property, which was clean, modern and well organised."

I was also surprised with the size and found it very good value for money. The owner knocked on the door the next day to make sure I was comfortable and she was very pleasant. The gardens were well managed and the scenery around the cottage was lovely. I would love to stay again but would imagine it’s becoming very popular amongst Sykes members, so I will be booking in advance next time. Thanks very much for our stay.

Thank you for your positive review. We hope to see you again! Property Owner
