  • The owners of the cottage were very welcoming and helpful, the cottage is well kept and clean, the open fire was nice with plenty of wood available, beds were comfy, all in all a nice stay.

Settled in the sleepy village of Templeton in the countryside of Wales rests this characterful cottage, Stable Cottage.

With a rustic theme and original features throughout, it offers a group of four a fantastic choice for an escape to Wales.

Venture into the spectacular open-plan living space to be met by exposed stone walls, wooden beams and a traditional open fire offering a quaint style where you can relax when you're not out exploring; flick on the television for a family film night, or gather around the dining table with a board game brought from home, while the aromas of your homemade meals grace you.

The kitchen area hosts all the essentials for a week-long stay, even including both a washing machine and a dishwasher for your convenience!

Be sure to make the most of your outside space in the summer months, with a gravelled courtyard making a lovely spot to sip on a refreshing drink as your canine companions play.

At the end of each fun-filled day, make your way up the staircase to find two bedrooms consisting of a king-size with an en-suite shower room and a triple room with three single beds, offering a great sleeping arrangement for a variety of group needs whether you're visiting with friends or family, with both rooms offering a homely interior and ample storage space, as well as being served by the sparkling family bathroom.

Begin your day with a scenic dog walk along Ford's Lake towards the centre of the village of Templeton where you can find The Boars Head serving delicious meals and tasty beverages, a lovely stop off on the way back to the cottage after a day of exploring, while venturing further afield will bring you to the atmospheric town of Narberth where you will be greeted by even more eateries to choose from including restaurants and bistros, as well as upmarket boutiques, deli grocers, and gift shops where you can pick up a special something for your loved ones back home.

Narberth is also home to the leading cultural and arts venue of Queen's Hall, well-worth a visit to see what wonderful concerts, plays and events are occuring on your trip, or for those in pursuit of outdoor wonder, be sure to take a trip to the UK's only coastal National Park; Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, where you can find over 600 miles of footpaths and bridleways to roam amongst seascapes and countryside delights, with opportunities for climbing, watersports and sun soaking on the beach, and plenty more, all while being surrounded by some of the most speciauclar scenery in Wales.

The bustling town of Narberth is a delight to discover with its many individual shops, including upmarket boutiques, specialist deli grocers and unique gift shops, and a wide choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs can be found in and around the town. Queen's Hall, Narberth's leading cultural and arts venue hosts a variety of concerts, plays and events, which can be enjoyed throughout the year. Pembrokeshire is home to the UK's only coastal National Park, and the whole of Pembrokeshire beckons with the harbour and seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot close by, visit secluded sandy beaches, such as the acclaimed Barafundle Bay for a quiet relaxing day, or take in an invigorating walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Path. Enjoy a boat trip to Caldey Island and its monastery, or to Skomer, which is renowned for its puffins.
