  • "Things I wish I'd known before going."

    To take a charging plug for my toothbrush. To take a big bath towel. To take extra toilet roll.

    Hi Stephanie, Thank you for feedback, I appreciate and apologise for the lack of toilet roll that's something I'll look into. with regards to the toothbrush charger if you look at the photos of the bathroom you will notice that there is no charging facility for toothbrushes or shavers so you would of needed to of brought your own. The bath towels are just standard size bath towels not large ones, although thank you for bringing this up and we will look to replace them with larger ones. Regards Kevin and Hayley. Property Owner

  • "Outstanding lodge."

    Warm and cozy. Fully equipped. The site is quiet, ideal for a peaceful break. Dog friendly site with a play area for dogs ( and children too) The bar is very modern and holds themed nights throughout the year. Check opening times. We recently had a mobile pizza van on site, wonderful. Overall, a relaxing stay in a lovely lodge. THE HERON

  • "Superb stay at the Heron."

    The owners have thought of everything and equipped the lodge to a very high standard. It is super warm, the site is quiet and the location is perfect. There is a lot of room and space to store everything too. Very easy to get around by bus to explore the area if parking is difficult. The local woods are great for early risers and dog walkers.,

  • "I love coming to Woodlands Lodge Retreat, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind, yet close enough to do all the tourist stuff."

    Stopped in the Heron this time, which was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a self catering holiday. We came in January and the lodge was lovely warm. Have already booked to stop here again.

  • "Spotless lodge."

    Comfy setee and chairs. Well equipped kitchen. Beds were soft and warm. Heating worked a treat. Fire was needed on some cold windy days. Wifi password didnt work but we only tried it for a download. Overall, a great relaxing stay. We love Woodlands Lodge Retreat. Its so peaceful.

  • "We had an amazing stay at the Heron."

    The lodge is spotless and is very well equiped with anything you could possibly need. The site is quiet and relaxing and Newquay is only minutes away. Onsite woodland walk is lovely if you have a dog with you. The only downside is the pub onsite was only open on our first night, a real shame as the cocktails are wonderful .

  • "The lodge was spotless and in wonderful condition, just like the web site photos."

    The retreat was peaceful and surrounded by woodland, great for walking and wildlife spotting. Perfect place to stay to just sit and relax or explore the surrounding area. Easy access to the coastal path for walking this beautiful area of Wales.

98 The Heron is a lovely, single-storey lodge enjoying the quaint surroundings of Woodlands Park Resort in Llanarth, Ceredigion.

This home offers ground-floor accommodation with access to parking and private outdoor space, while also boasting gorgeous views of the surrounding woodlands.

Ideal for two couples or a small family of four, 98 The Heron offers a great getaway near the breathtaking coastline of Cardigan Bay.

With space for one furry friend, no one has to miss out on the adventure!

When arriving at the lodge, you'll not only be stunned by the encompassing woodland providing a beautiful backdrop to your stay, but you'll be happy to see a handy off-road parking space!

Continue inside to be welcomed by a charming open-plan living space.

Make yourself at home in the sitting area, where plush seating awaits in front of the Smart TV and toasty electric fire.

After a moment of relaxation, continue to the well-presented and amply equipped kitchen, and fix up a tasty meal for all to enjoy at the adjacent dining table.

When night falls, retreat to one of two tastefully-decorated bedrooms, one of which is a King-size enjoying ample storage and a TV, and the other being a twin room.

The bedrooms sit close to a shower room, where you can freshen up for the day ahead with ease in its spacious walk-in shower.

The property benefits from enclosed decking, where you can sit out and soak up those views whilst enjoying an alfresco treat!

The Park itself is home to a delightful, woodland trail that you can embark on, whilst Cei Bach Beach can also be found nearby, where days in the sun and sand can be enjoyed, before wandering down to the lovely village of Llanarth, where a friendly pub and a shop can be found.

For a day out to remember, travel to the seaside town of New Quay, a stunning place enjoying vibrant architecture and offering access to two stunning beaches, the fascinating Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre and the opportunity to embark on the SeaMor Dolphin Watching Boat Trips!

This delightful seaside town is one of the most popular holiday resorts all year round, and it is easy to see why when you stroll along the sea edge and enjoy the beautiful views. The lovely range of gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs offer all you need, while boat trips are a wonderful opportunity to spot the playful dolphins, seals and other rare animals and birds that inhabit the bay's sheltering waters. For the hands-on members of your party why not try sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and power boating with expert tuition available? The famous poet, Dylan Thomas, penned many works with inspiration in New Quay including "Quite Early One Morning" and you can follow the Dylan Thomas trail around the town.
