The cottage was just what we needed in a nice location with good walks directly from the house or within a short drive. We can recommend a visit to the Shire horse farm which was very informative and run by friendly people. Thank you Sue for a very comfortable stay hope your arm soon heals. Mary and Andrew

Very comfortable in a beautiful location. Everything you could need for a relaxing break.

  • "Lovely peaceful cottage in rural position."

Not overlooked, with country and sea views. Good walks from the cottage for active individuals. It was nice to have designated car parking as this is a "working" farming area with some heavy farm machinery movement during the day on the roads.

  • "This is a lovely cottage for 2."

The only reason I have not given 5 stars is the difficulty with wet weather. The hallway would benefit from a hard wipeable floor instead of a cream carpet and the bathroom needs a heated towel rail to help with drying damp clothes. Otherwise it is comfortable and very good value.

  • "We had a pretty bad experience at this property."

On our third day of our holiday water from the bathroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling lighting wiring and we felt it would be too unsafe to stay so chose to leave early. It took us 6 months to get a refund for our stay.

  • "This is the second time that we have stayed at this lovely cottage."

It is perfect for a couple. The cottage has everything you would need and is beautifully decorated and furnished. It is located along a nice country road just outside the small town. The town has plenty of places to eat and a few shops. The beach is fantastic and prefect for watching sunsets. The owners are lovely and we had a nice time catching up with them. We really recommend this cottage and will go back.

As mentioned in the visitors book we enjoyed our stay The location of the property was lovely but be prepared to do plenty of walking Our aim on holiday is to leave the car most of the week so getting to nearby facilities takes time especially the walk back up to Blaenpach

However the advertised WiFi does not work at all and should be either improved or not listed in the description, as the mobile signal is also a little intermittent this could cause problems if you need to stay in contact with anyone.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Blaenpant Bach."

It was everything that we hoped for. Everything was very welcoming - a cosy cottage, tea, coffee, milk and Welsh cakes waiting for us. There was even fresh flowers in the kitchen and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge! We loved the cottage and it provided us with a base for walking into Newport and many lovely walks from the front door. John was a lovely host . We shall certainly be coming back.

  • "The description is somewhat misleading as the property is not detached but joined to the owners house."

The lack of control of the heating was strange ( the owner controlled it). Also the wifi is no existent phone signal poor too something to bear in mind if you are dependent on your devices! Having said all that we did enjoy our stay despite the bad weather!

Very pleased you enjoyed your stay in spite of bad weather. I'm sorry you felt the description of the property was misleading. The holiday cottage company is rectifying for us. Blaenpant Bach is fully separate from the adjoining house with its own entrance, parking space and small garden. The heating is not separate but we are more than happy to regulate this to visitors' needs as and when required. Thanks for your constructive feedback. Property Owner

Waking up to a view of the sea, Dinas Head and ponies. The cottage has everything we needed, and more. There are public footpaths close by to go up the hill behind, down into Cym Gwaun, into Newport or out to Dinas Head. We walked to bus stop to catch coastal bus to start of Pembrokeshire coastal path. No need for a car. Would love to go again.

It is perfect for a couples week away and is beautifully furnished throughout. The views from the sittingroom and bedroom overlook the owners garden and across fields to the coast; perfect for sunset watching. The property is perfectly situated for Newport and just a few minutes drive to Newport Sands beach, which we went to most evenings. We will definitely return.

We were so relaxed and felt away from it all in this peaceful environment. It is walking distance to Newport Centre with pubs and cafes. So close to the coastal path and some fantastic walking routes. Walks around Parrog beach also a highlight. Enjoyed a couple of days out to Barafundle Bay and Tenby - Pembrokeshire is truly beautiful. This lovely and clean, cosy cottage we highly recommended with beautiful views and welcoming owners - the sunset in the evening from the lounge/bedroom window was beautiful. Missing it already and plan to return.

The cottage was perfect for the two of us and had the everything we needed. The complimentary tea, coffee and welsh cakes were much appreciated! The cottage is in a great location, walking distance to Newport where there are quality pubs and restaurants. Highlights were dinner and cocktails at Llys Meddyg and dinner at the Golden Lion. Brilliant for walkers as there is easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and good inland walks over the hills. Fabulous holiday!

  • "The garden area was very small so we were disappointed there was no real area to relax in after coming back from a day out."

The fridge freezer in the kitchen was small and very difficult to access.

Thank you for your feedback. The owner is sorry for any disappointment you may have felt. The garden is sufficiently large enough for a table and two chairs and guests can also relax in the cottage’s very comfortable sitting room. The area housing the fridge/freezer will be reconfigured in the near future, making access easier. Property Owner
