"Stayed for 5 nights in February."
I feel the photos on the listing do not do the cottage justice. Immaculate, well laid out and incredibly comfortable.
The views from the cottage are stunning and it’s in prime location for walks up the mountain or down to the coast.
We had our two dogs with us who loved the enclosed garden, which was totally secure and safe for them to explore.
Loved our stay and would definitely return.

"What a wonderful find!"
Probably the best place that we have stayed at in Newport, and we holiday there 4 times a year !
Lovely cottage with everything we needed and fantastic views of Dinas Head and the sea from all of the windows.
Large garden is a real bonus for dogs and families.
Warm and comfortable .
Lots of lovely touches to ensure you have a perfect holiday!

"This is a wonderful house."
It's very clean, comfy and very well equipped. The views are spectacular. We have a lovely, relaxing stay.
The directions to the property are a bit confusing, especially in the dark. Perhaps you could make them more simplified - Google maps tries to take you to the wrong location.
Thank you very much for your review. It is very good to hear that you enjoyed yourselves at Ceunant. Two other reviewers have found our directions unclear and we will redraft them shortly in an attempt to remove the confusion.

"My wife and I had a fabulous winter week at this lovely cottage."
It is very comfortable, well maintained and well equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable holiday in a beautiful part of Wales. Despite the very cold weather we were perfectly warm and cosy. It has lovely views of the coast and we greatly enjoyed being able to sit and relax and watch the changing colours of the sea. We will certainly be returning.

"I had the most wonderful, peaceful Christmas break with my dogs at Ceunant."
The cottage is set within a wonderful, enclosed garden so the dogs were free to roam (which they loved) inside the house the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you will need and the dining room has the most beautiful bay window to look out over the countryside to the coast and read a book. Evenings spent in the living room with the log burner on were incredibly cosy. I have only 3 gripes, 1 - the double bed is slightly squeaky 2 - a bathtub would be amazing but I understand why there isn’t one currently (2 showers is more than sufficient!) 3 - I don’t live here!!! It’s genuinely a place I would move to tomorrow given half a chance. Will definitely be back.
It's very gratifying to read such a good review. Thank you.

"We had a lovely relaxing couple of weeks at Ceunant."
The cottage is comfortable and cosy. Cleanliness was superb, lovely quality linen and fluffy towels. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Shower upstairs was great (didn’t use downstairs one) - grab rails present in both. The views are amazing both to the side and front of the cottage.
We arrived the day after the Pembrokeshire Dangler made its mark. A special thank you must go to whoever put salt down from track to door - made our arrival much easier and safer. Thank you also to the staff at the local office who rang us a couple of times to check we were ok and had arrived safely.
One small ‘negative’ - listing says there’s parking for two cars with main parking area in front of garage further down track and space for 2nd car before you get to entrance gate to property. Fortunately, we had gone to see Ceunant a few weeks before staying, this meant we made the decision to take our smaller car (Seat Arona) which fitted well in front of garage. If we’d taken our other car (Skoda Kodiaq) it would have stuck out onto track. Although the track is by no means busy, vehicles do, occasionally, use it. Due to my husband’s mobility issues, we usually take his Mobility scooter with us, which means we usually take both cars. The space for the second car isn’t exactly obvious, we think it’s a pull-in on the left before you get to the small gate. This wouldn’t have been big enough for our second car and was on grass, which became very muddy due to the very heavy rain we had.
For those slightly less able, it’s quite a pull up the track, from the car to the cottage. These issues are partly due, of course, to the remoteness of the cottage and not something the owner can do much about - only mentioning them in order to inform future guests.
Not wishing to end on a negative - none of this took away from the wonderful time we had here. Would we stay again? - we’d love to.
Thank you for your review. It is particularly helpful for us to hear about difficulties which guests have encountered and which we were not really aware of. We will measure the parking space by the garage when we are next at Ceunant and ask Coast and Country Cottages to include the information in their website description of the cottage.
We are very glad you enjoyed your stay.

"Absolutely wonderful!"
A great little cottage with gorgeous views of both the coast and the countryside and with everything you could need for a most enjoyable holiday. It has very efficient radiators and so we were perfectly comfortable and cosy at all times, even in some pretty cold weather. Luna, our dog, loved the spacious and secure garden. We ourselves particularly appreciated the privacy and tranquility of the location. And there are walks on Carn Ingli almost on the doorstep, yet the village of Newport, and the coastal path, are within easy reach. We had a fantastic holiday and will certainly be going back.

"When we arrived the cottage was very cold."
Would have been great and welcoming if the heating was on.
Our apologies for the lack of a warm welcome. This seems to have been due to a misunderstanding about the radiator thermostats between us and the cleaners. We are making sure they are set (at this time of year) to 21 degrees from 5.30 to 22.30 and 18 degrees from 22.30 to 5.30. These temperatures can of course be varied by those staying at the cottage.

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ceunant."
A beautiful house with spectacular coastal views and lovely gardens.
There were a few minor problems. Both showers seemed to have droopy shower heads. I slept in the twin bedded room, in the bed near the side wall of the house. There was an infestation of small flies on and near the window and on the wall & ceiling in this area.
We also couldn't find a starter pack for the log burner.
However, these were minor issues and we both had a brilliant time as did our two dogs.
Thank you for your review. We'll tackle the issues you mention. Very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay.

"The cottage is in a superb location with wonderful views over the coastline and countryside."
The owners have made every effort to provide facilities for a carefree holiday and we certainly hope to visit again in the future.
Jack, our dog, thoroughly enjoyed the very secure garden and the numerous footpaths on Carn Ingli within easy walking distance from the cottage.
We would also like to thank the staff at the Coast & Country Holidays office in Newport for being so helpful and caring following our road accident.

"Very pleased with the whole place."
Some problems. A blanket on the shelf in the double bedroom was covered in dog hairs. The broom was jammed with dog hairs. We have a Cockerpoo who does not shed hairs. She loved the garden and the whole area as did we.
The directions to find the house were confusing.
Thank you for the goodies!
Our apologies about the dog hair. Most of our visitors have dogs and clearly we need to be more thorough in tidying up after them. We will also try to improve the directions to the house.

"We had such a lovely peaceful time we didn’t want to leave and the views were great, the dogs loved the garden and sitting on the patio with us watching the world go by, the only thing we could have made use of was a fan at the property as the weather was quite hot, but we will definitely be booking again ."
A fan sounds like a very good idea in this hot weather. We will get one. We had not thought of that and are grateful for the suggestion.

"What a wonderful clean well equipped cottage, the only slight negative is the track down to the property but it's worth being off the beaten track a bit for the peace, quiet and the views!"
Would highly recommend this place.
This is the first published review we have received as we have not let the cottage commercially before. So it is very encouraging that it is so positive.
