  • "Lovely little cottage within easy reach of town."

Everything was fine and the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Really comfy bed and the living room was cosy, with the heating being on for a long time during the day.The TV was a little erratic, because it came on when the heating came on at 6.30am, which was a scarey wake up call. The windows need replacing,as they all had condensation on them all day,and the front door needs replacing as there is a massive gap down one side which counter acts the heating being on. But on the whole we had a lovely time.

  • "2nd visit to panteg cottage."

We like its well situated position and the parking. Everything nice and clean and very well equipped. We do feel the patio area needs an update as being pensioners found the slate chips hard to walk on. Also a toilet upstairs would be a bonus. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it.

Very well equipped with a secure & sunny back garden for us & our Jack Russell to relax in, would love to return one day.

Favourably impressed. Comfortable and pretty well equipped. Had a very enjoyable stay. Just a thought - we have stayed in many holiday cottages and a few basics in the kitchen cupboard are always helpful - salt, pepper, some teabags for when guests arrive. We will certainly book this cottage again.

It was well situated in Newport with handy local shops and cafés and also for lovely walks along the estuary and further afield - with the footpath to The Parrog and Newport beach at the end of the road. We had a lovely week exploring the area & would like to make a return visit one day.

  • "Two minor issues need fixing."

We were there in bad weather and the car parking area was a quagmire. It just needs some gravel or hardcore. Secondly, the kitchen light needs replacing with a fitting that actually provides some light - it’s almost dark in there, even with the light on. Otherwise, everything was fine.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Panteg Cottage."

The cottage was very well equip, comfortable and warm. The location to both the town and beach were excellent, with great walks for dogs. Pembrokeshire is such a beautiful county even in the winter. Newport is a great little town, with everything that you need and more. Most of the shops, restaurants and pubs closed on New Year's Day, which would be something to be remembered for another year - but as we left on the 3rd January, it didn't really affect us.

  • "Panteg cottage is well situated in the lovely coastal village of Newport."

Beautiful beaches are on your doorstep and shops and pubs five minutes' walk away. The cottage has everything you need and is very clean and comfortable. Perhaps greater clarity on the recycling would be helpful! I would however recommend the cottage.

The back door of cottage needs to seen to , the lock / key kept on jamming, needed to use that door to let dog out otherwise I would have just used front door , at one point it took 5 mins to open the back door

Thank you for your feedback. The back door lock has been attended to. Property Owner

Basket in lounge for "used items" contained a game. Heating did not seem to be timed, so had to manually adjust down before going to bed. A very enjoyable stay, though, and we will be returning.

  • "We have spent another lovely week at Panteg."

The cottage was comfortable and I really liked the kitchen diner. However, having to negotiate an awkward stairs to use the bathroom during the night is not as easy as it was. A toilet and washbasin facility in the landing large walk-in cupboard would be the answer, and also help those with young children.
