"Treetops is a lovely spacious house with 4 of the 5 bedrooms plus the family bathroom on the ground floor making it very accessible."
The upstairs area is lovely though we didn’t really need to use the living area as there was plenty of space downstairs. It would have been great to have a tv downstairs as well as upstairs as we had small children using the upstairs twin and didn’t want to disturb them in the evening (that said, we don’t actually watch much tv on hols but it happened go coincide with the World Cup!). The kitchen was well equipped (although a bigger bin would have been good) and there was loads of handy stuff in the garage available to borrow - camping chairs, windbreaks, bodyboard - now with the addition of a paddling pool we added to the collection). There is a bbq although we took our own disposable ones. The garden and patio area is lovely with an amazing sea view. Lovely to sit in the evening although we could have done with a parasol or some sort of shade as the patio is in full sun by mid afternoon.
The location is brilliant - just a short walk through the lovely town of Newport with at least 3 pubs in easy reach - we ate at the Castle and The Red Lion- both dog friendly and lovely food - especially the Red Lion. All in all, a lovely place for a family or group of friends to relax.
Sounds like you had a lovely stay. Thanks for taking the time to leave this feedback, it’s much appreciated

"This property was stunning."
Quality everywhere. A breathtaking view. Wonderful position. Extremely well equipped kitchen & a really gorgeous & comfortable living room.
There were a couple of points which we hope will help future guests to feel even more comfortable.
We are ladies of a certain age & need warmth & safety.
So…. In the twin room with shower over bath. There really needs to be a grab handle to get into & out of the shower safely.
Also the single duvets were not warm enough for the cold May nights. And the extra blankets kept sliding off.
Two of the downstairs bedrooms did not have a wardrobe, only hooks on the wall. Not great for the clothes conscious among us.
There is a loud “plumbing” noise between the twin & master bathrooms. I think it was associated with the toilet flush.
The shower door in the master bathroom was very stiff to close & open & the seal at the bottom of the door was pretty grubby.
We would have liked hooks on the backs of bathroom doors.
Lastly the instructions for disposal of waste needs updating in the folder & on the kitchen window ledge. It clearly states to put black bin liners into the bin in the garage (which we did) & then into the outside bin on leaving. However the bin man came round & specifically asked for all rubbish bags to go straight into the outside bin.
They have had complaints of multiple bags of rubbish previously being left outside & becoming smelly. They are unable to get into the locked garage but do have access to the outside bin & need to collect from there, whichever day they come.
However despite those minor hitches, we all really loved Tree Tops & had a fabulous week there.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful property.
We’re so glad you thought Treetops was a stunning property and worthy of your five star rating.
Thank you for taking the time to give helpful feedback, we really appreciate it.

"Our daughter, Lydia Cumming, has asked me, to complete this form."
Almost all our immediate family stayed in the house, 4 couples, 2 granddaughters aged 9 and 5, and a large, happy Viszler! We LOVED the house, and the views all around.
Having almost all the accommodation on the ground floor suited us all (especially me, as I need sticks to help me walk). Everything was perfect, and in good order, down to having a couple of padded coat-hangers in each bedroom and lovely Christmas decorations.
We invited relatives to join us for the day time on Christmas and Boxing Days and catering for 14, and a miniature Dachshund, was no problem. We know Newport and the surrounding countryside very well, from holidays with our own parents and from camping with our children as they grew up.
It was a pleasure to stay in such a beautiful home, which so enhanced our holiday, and we would hope to repeat the experience another time.

Diolch o galon - thank you for your feedback. Newport is so pretty at Christmas, and it’s lovely to think that Treetops was in such appreciative hands over the festive period. Blwyddyn newydd dda!

"Tree Tops is a large, light and airy, well-furnished and well-presented 5-bedroom house."
3 generations of our family, aged from 7 to 71, really enjoyed our stay at the house. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, microwave and a large dining table so that cooking and eating at home were easy options.
The house was pleasantly warm throughout our stay, with comfortable beds ensuring a good nights’ sleep. There was plentiful hot water for showers and baths, ideal after a day out and an efficient washing machine and tumble dryer which were very useful refreshing our walking clothes etc.
The house is in a great location with extensive sea views across the bay. The house is within an easy walking distance of the village centre where there are a range of interesting shops and various pubs and restaurants. The Castle was our favourite, with a choice of real ales, great fish and chips and menus to suit everyone.
We enjoyed our walks along the nearby beach and interesting walks along the Coastal Path, with two seaside cafes open even in late October. Newport is a great location for outdoor holidays, whether walking, cycling from the house, or journeying to places of interest nearby.
What a great review. Thank you so much.
We think Newport is a wonderful holiday destination with all it has to offer so we are pleased you think the same.
Of course we love our house so when we share it with guests it’s nice to know they are appreciative.
We hope you are able to enjoy a second stay!

"We are very disappointed with the level of cleanliness at the property
The obvious surface areas have been cleaned but there has any additional cleaning to skirting boards etc and certainly no deep clean for a long time
There are numerous cobwebs in every room, drawers not clean in bedrooms, dirty clothes left behind etc
This is the first house were we have felt the need to complain
Can you please let me know what I need to do to get this resolved as I emailed last Saturday and had no response!"
We were very sorry to hear that the cleanliness of Tree Tops fell short of the standards rightly expected.
We have passed all of your comments to the housekeeping team.
It was unfortunate that your initial email was not picked up promptly at which point the problem could have been rectified.
However, it was good to see that you rated the comfort of the house 100% so we hope you will visit again.

The only issue is that although there are four parking spaces, they can be awkward to negotiate at times, contributing to damage on one of our cars.
We’re glad you enjoyed the house but sorry about the damage to your car.

"A lovely property in a great location."
Spacious and well equipped.
As with any property attention to detail is required with deep cleaning carried out regularly to remove cobwebs and general grime from wall mounted features.
Driveway access a little restrictive for larger vehicles.
Overall, a great stay and would definitely revisit.

"A great holiday home."
So many things were good. The location, the parking, the bedrooms, the beds, the showers, the garden. This really is a nice big house and possibly the best holiday home I’ve every stayed in. Oh and it has stunning views of the bay looking north and west. Nicely situated close to the middle of town. Parking for four cars. Lovely beds with great duvets and pillows. Great showers. A private enclosed garden with lovely views. All six of us loved it.
What a lovely review!
It’s pretty much how we feel about the house too….

"We had a wonderful stay at Tree Tops."
We were there for a long weekend as we had a family wedding. First impression walking through the door was wow. The carpet was do soft under bare feet and it just got better opening each door. The only downside was the seating in the main area. The 2 rattan effect chairs were a little uncomfortable. Also elderly father unable to climb stairs to watch TV. The view was incredible, especially watching the sun set. Outdoor seating other than table and chairs would be a bonus. Beds were comfy which was a plus. Will definitely recommend and will book again to allow us to explore the area more. Walking distance to lovely pubs, Spar, butchers and pharmacy.

"Lovey house in a fabulous location."
We had a great stay at Tree tops, it was so nice to be near the sea, and it's a pretty comfortable house.
However the garden is advertised as enclosed, but there are lots of escape routes that my dog found so I wasn't able to let him out on his own, he had to be on a lead at all times which was a little disappointing. Also the cooker and microwave need a good clean, the cooker smelt bad when it was used. The washing machine leaked a little and there was a puddle on the floor when I used it.

"Lovely comfortable property in good location."
Beautiful small town. Nice views of the sea over rooftops. It had everything we needed for our New Year stay. Very comfortable beds. Some areas to be noted, open planned kitchen / diner / sitting room - 1 sofa, 2 uncomfortable rocking ikea style chairs and 2 uncomfortable rattan outdoor style chairs. No TV in this communal area which was needed on dark wet evenings. TV upstairs with no Freeview connection - iPlayer / itv hub etc available. House was clean but not “spotless”. Just to point out…Dust in vents in showers (we used Dyson to clean). Skirting boards dirty throughout house. Tops of pictures very dusty. Baths dirty film on it had to clean before use. Kitchen oven very dirty really needs a clean. Underside of kitchen cupboards dirty. Microwave in garage very dirty. Bin in kitchen rusty and mould inside. Broken lampshade in kitchen. Some glasses / plates chipped. Windows in kitchen need a clean. These are just some points to note. It also has some lovely touches. Decor lovely. Access via garage with dog great idea. Garden a bit sodden due to weather so avoided with dog as much as possible. Nice walk to the local beach. Local pubs brilliant. We loved it.

"It would be impossible to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at Treetops."
We were three generations of family holidaying together and everyone agreed that Treetops was the best of any house that we have visited. The house itself is beautifully decorated, the bedlinen and towels top quality. I always take a pack of items that I like to use but may not be provided - sharp knives, big pasta pan, salt and pepper etc. No need - everything was there. The location was marvellous - walking distance to the beach and a very short walk to shops, several cafe’s and restaurants. The grandchildren went out trick or treating and the people of Newport were lovely and welcoming.
Just cannot fault Treetops. Loved it, and actually felt really sad to leave.
What a wonderful review.
Thank you so much. I think you’ve said all the things we, the owners, would have said.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay.

"5*
We can’t fault Tree tops!"
We had a wonderful week staying in Newport. We were a large family group and the house was just perfect. It is beautifully presented throughout, has loads of space, plenty of good bathrooms, very comfortable beds and the kitchen has everything you could need.
It was brilliant to have both the upstairs lounge for the children and the space for the adults to relax downstairs.
It’s also such an advantage in Newport to have so many car parking spaces.
We absolutely loved how easy it is to walk from the house into Newport, with all its shops and restaurants. It’s also a great location for heading down to the beach and boat club or for a beautiful walk along the coastal path.
Thank you for a wonderful stay-we’ve already booked for a week next year!
Thank you for such lovely feedback. Delighted to hear you’ll be back in Tree Tops next year!
