We had a lovely week's holiday here, the cottage is in a beautiful location and lots of great walks from ur doorstep, we had sheep at the bottom of the garden and ducks wandering around, very peaceful, cottage is lovely and clean, owners are friendly and welcoming, highly recommended

Fran was so welcoming with a ready-lit warm log fire, milk in the fridge, Welsh cakes, flowers and Bara Britth. The cottage was very comfortable, clean, large and in a quiet location. Very easy access to the Pembrokeshire coastal path and inland paths too. Magical walks in woodland directly from the door. Very dog friendly too. Many thanks Fran!!

This is so lovely thank you and also thank you for the gift and super comments in the book. Here the temperature has dropped and hopefully the sunshine will start to dry out the footpaths. • "What a wonderful place we found!"

The listing does not do this beautiful cottage justice! The setting is out of this world. Down its own little country lane and in the most beautiful setting. The cottage is much bigger than we expected and very comfortable with all the facilities that you would need ( and more). The back garden is very private .....and HUGE! We did struggle a little with the water pressure for the shower, but there is a large modern bath, so we didnt find that to be a problem. The owner lives next door and was the perfect host. She is very helpful but not intrusive and its just nice to know she is there if you need anything. Thankyou for letting us share your beautiful cottage for the most relaxing week. We hope to come again!!!

Thank you for coming! Also for your lovely review and for those super comments in the visitor's book. Possibly the shower pump needed a re boot after the power cut? So glad that you enjoyed your holiday break at Maesgwyn and looking forward to your return. Kindest regards Fran... Property Owner

Fran is such a friendly host & again lit the wood burner as it was still a little chilly when we arrived after 4pm. There is always Welsh cakes & Bara brith with milk in the fridge on arrival which is very welcome. This is my 2nd visit to the property & as I have friends who live locally it is an ideal base to visit so many amazing places on the Pembrokeshire coast & inland. My only concern was the large rug in the kitchen that had started to curl up at the edges & then became a trip hazard. We managed to overcome this by turning the mat over so that the edges were flat. We then returned it to its usual position before we left. Looking forward to return visit next year.

Thank you for your feedback. There is alternative heating. This was explained to you. The large woodburner had of plenty of logs next to it and easy to light fire logs too, it would have been going by the time you had unpacked your car. I quite often do light the wood burner, if I am around, I didn't think it was that cold. I could see the conservatory window open when I came home and thought you must have found it too warm. We have the central heating on a timer, which is not unusual in holiday cottages. I am surprised that being as you were so uncomfortable, you rarely left the place. Property Owner

The 'garden room' very comfortable, looking out over the garden and catching the sun all afternoon, great for watching the bird life visiting the bird feeder. Felt, on the whole, that the house needed a facelift, outdated, fridge/freezer too small - even with 2 people - tight squeeze to put all the cold food in. Struggled to use the shower at all - no water pressure even after following instructions left by the owners! No problem with running a bath though.

Thank you for leaving a review, and I'm delighted to hear that you loved the garden room and the location of the property. The property is indeed very old and we have tried to compromise between the keeping it's character and modern conveniences. There is a separate under counter freezer, aswell as the fridge. As for the shower, maybe there were other appliances using water at the same time, the house and the cottage use the same bore hole. No one in the last 2 months, since you were here has had a problem with it. Thank you again for your comments. Property Owner

Very pleasant to pass the time in an evening. Sleeping accommodation was quite acceptable.
