"We wanted somewhere quiet in the Welsh countryside, affordable, comfortable dog friendly and not too far from the sea with a dog friendly beach."

This ticked all the boxes, about six miles from Fishguard with Co Op Supermarket and Newport with boat house one end and the huge beach with car park near the Golf Club the other. The cottage is a converted Barn consisting of an extra large King size bed in one Bedroom with WC and an excellent electric shower, and two good sized singles in the other. Main bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Large sitting room with comfortable sofas and tv and a good sized, well equipped kitchen with large wooden table and with access to a paved secure patio area with table and chairs. The only downside really is the long (approx 3/4 mile) drive along the stone track across farmland to the cottage, a bit bumpy with drains and a couple of cattle grids to slowly drive over. The area and views are fantastic with reservoir and country parks etc.easily accessed. The B roads are excellent again with little traffic. The construction of the Roads in this section of West Wales are excellent with hardly a pot hole in sight.

"Preseli Hills is a lovely cottage with plenty of space for 4 people."

The utility room and outside space are both bonuses, especially if you have dogs. The owners are friendly and helpful. The location is very peaceful, but remote and the track to the cottage is 3/4 mile of bumps and cattle grids. Unfortunately the presentation and cleanliness of the property do not show it to its best advantage. Items of furniture are in bad repair, some kitchen pans and utensils need replacing (and needed washing before use)and the kitchen curtains are dirty. It would be a beautiful cottage if it was cleaned and maintained properly.
