The property

Penwyn is a charming pet-friendly holiday abode in the village of Solva, situated in the county of Pembrokeshire.

This property is perfect for a group of friends or a family looking for a getaway, as it boasts a woodburning stove in the sitting room and sea views from the upstairs king-size bedroom.

Step foot into your new holiday home and indulge yourself in the lovely sitting room as you become accustomed to your new surroundings.

In the kitchen and dining room, you will find everything you need to have a fantastic self-catered stay.

Use the oven and hob to cook up a treat before plating it up on the dining table.

If the sun is shining, then step outside into the rear or front courtyard gardens.

Wash down your dinner with a favourite drink of choice as you look out onto the sun before it washes the sky with orange as it slowly ebbs away.

When the evening breeze is upon you, head back inside to warm up next to the woodburning stove.

All agree on something to watch on TV for some evening entertainment.

If you’re caught stifling a yawn, call it a night with two bedrooms on offer.

On the ground floor, there is a twin bed, and upstairs is a king-size bed with great sea views.

In the mornings, make the most of the ground-floor bathroom before planning the day ahead.

A shop and a pub are nearby for any essentials or a drink out.

Head out to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path for an invigorating walk with majestic views, go for a hike to explore the St. Non’s Cliffs & Cathedral Cave or take a stroll around the Porthclais Harbour.

In St Davids, explore the cathedral dating back to the 12th century, take a look at the remarkable remains of St Davids Bishop's Palace or if you want some active fun, check out MUUK-Adventures.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is also nearby, so go for some group walks with your dog, find the perfect sunset spot or find a beach to dip your toes in.

All this and more awaits you at Penwyn, your ideal holiday base.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

SOLVA

St Davids 6 miles; Haverfordwest 12 miles.

A superb village around a tidal harbour where boats can be launched and walks along the dramatic coast path will be a delight any time of the year. This pretty little village may be small but offers friendly pubs serving good food, gift shops, art galleries and a nearby superb woollen mill shop where special gifts can be bought to remember your stay in Wales. Lazy days sitting and watching the ebb and flow of the tide and the boats bobbing in and out of the harbour are a sheer delight. Visit the nearby woollen mill itself to sit by the waterwheel, go into the weaving shed or enjoy a break in the cafe. Just a few miles from Solva you can visit St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, with its magnificent St Davids Cathedral and wander the small streets to again find unique gifts, eat a hearty meal or an afternoon tea, or just sit in the peaceful grounds of the cathedral, it also houses Oriel y Parc an information centre offering suggestions for exploring the surrounding area. Whitesands Bay with its superb beach offers relaxing days or maybe some surfing. Take boat trips to spot dolphins and wonderful sea birds or take bike rides along country roads. A wonderful location to enjoy your Welsh holiday.
