3 Customer Reviews

  • "There can be no question that Kala is a superb bungalow, well built, good area, spacious with all the amenities that one could wish for."

Unfortunately I found a large amount of issues that need dealing with. 1 I had to move the bed in the main bedroom and found the back and underneath to be covering in spiders webs, 5 spiders and a large amount of detritus. I actually found an old out of circulation pound coin dated 2017 underneath! Need I say more? 2 The lounge sliding doors do no slide, no use have a patio that one cannot access. 3 Cannot see out of the second bedroom window, large bay tree blocking view. 4 A light over the front door is required to facilitate entry. 5 There is a large circular object in the middle of the drive that creates a driving hazard, it is only a matter of time before some collides with it. 6 The hot water was turned off when we arrived, No hot shower for the 1st morning, fortunately I found a way to turn it on. 7 The wheels from the black waste bin are missing! This made it very difficult to drag to its allotted space for collection. 8 The small frying pan is devoid of a non stick surface, it is worn down to the metal, a replacement would not cost a large amount of money. 9 The top of the wall cabinets in the kitchen are filthy. 10 The washing line need replacing. 11 The outsides of the windows are very dirty. Either there is a lack of supervision of the cleaners or or the owners need to look at there bungalow as if they were living in it. Do they consider the above points valid? If yes, get them sorted. If no, Help!

  • "Beautiful private bungalow."

Set in extensive gardens. Everything we needed and plenty of it. Beds very comfortable. Village pub, Pump on the Green, a great find. Ate here 3 times in a week. Best to book. A tumble dryer would have been useful in the wet weather! And definitely for the winter months, but we managed with plenty of radiators and a good heating system. Would look to book again.

  • "Exterior - huge enclosed grassed area, wonderful for the dog to run and play safely."

Lots of mature trees and shrubs, sitting out was a real pleasure. The resident robin was a joy to see and hear. No traffic noise, a wonderful “chilling” atmosphere. Interior - very spacious with lots of room for relaxing and preparing meals. Two choices of dining areas. Superbly well-equipped kitchen and utility room, great choice of crockery. Extremely comfortable beds, quality bedding and towels. Beautiful artwork throughout. Two newly refurbished bath/shower rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Kala, one of the most comfortable and interesting houses that we have stayed in, and just a short walk to the village local pub with a great menu. We shall surely return in the future, and would recommend Kala without hesitation. Mike & Denise
