The Boathouse

We had a fantastic week’s stay at The Boathouse.

It’s a beautiful property, incredibly clean and has everything you need. We loved the welcome basket, which was such a nice touch after a long journey. We have fallen in love with Tenby, South Beach was our favourite and we loved our daily ice creams from Tenby Ice Creams on the main road, and also Umi for meals out. Thank you to the owners, we’ll be back soon!

A great place to stay, nice and quiet and just away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

The Boathouse is spotless and with five star facilities, top spec on everything and a lovely welcome pack. We’ll stay there again.

Excellent accommodation.

Only criticism, beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Kitchen well equipped with many basic essentials. Generous welcome pack. I have a mobility scooter, found Tenby old town very restricted with narrow pavements and few dropped curbs. Saundersfoot was much more disabled friendly.

The Boathouse is extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need in a great location for the town and lovely countryside.

This all made for a wonderful holiday.

We came to Tenby for a relaxing short break and spent 4 nights at the Boathouse.

It was spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. It was very welcoming, quiet and peaceful and had everything we needed. We went out and about during the day and spent the evenings relaxing at The Boathouse. Tanya and Peter left us a very generous welcome basket and fresh milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch. We really enjoyed our time there and would book The Boathouse in the future if we visit Tenby again. Thankyou!

We loved staying at the boathouse for our week in Tenby.

It has a very spacious living room and the kitchen is well catered for including a well stocked spice rack for our home cooked meals. Good to have parking for two cars right outside the door.

Our 1st stay at the boathouse, it was lovely, immaculately clean, well equipped, comfortable and very peacefully quiet.

A 15 minute walk to town, Tenby is lovely,beaches fantastic. Peter and Tanya super hosts , welcome basket much appreciated. Hope to return, thank you. Bryan and Wendy.

As per usual, everything was there that we needed. A great place to stay, and we will definitely be back

The Boathouse is a lovely place to stay,peaceful,quiet and a good parking space and a very nice welcome pack.

We had a very good week staying there. The only small problem was that I asked for the beds to be put together in both rooms and they were only done in one bedroom and we did find the mattresses were too hard for our liking but other than that it was very enjoyable and even the weather was good.

Probably the best I have stayed in. Great position for Tenby town. Equipped to a very high level with everything anyone would need.. Five stars.

So well equipped and immaculately clean. The owners really do take pride. Everything is so well thought out. Finishing touches like welcome goodie’s is such a lovely treat. So close to the town & beech. So happy we made this our Easter getaway.

It was in a quiet position, within easy walking distance to Tenby. The Welcome Box was brilliant - thank you! Who doesn’t appreciate, after a long drive, being able to plonk down the cases and enjoy a cuppa and Jammy Dodger - Priceless! Tea/coffee, milk + condiments too. (So often not the case), so it was very much appreciated. (We didn’t use it, but there was also an air fryer with liners). We would 100% recommend the Boathouse. A comfy home from home. The owners should be very proud of the Boathouse .We have stopped in nearly 20 Sykes /holiday cottage’s / and we would put this in the top 2 . The welcome pack was the best we have had, and a real 6ft

Good location within walking distance of Tenby town centre.

Great accommodation, very clean, fully equipped; very friendly landlords.

Quite a drive to the famous stunning beaches ( Freshwaters, Barfundle (??)) but worth it. Lovely pub at Angle Bay “ Point House”

Fantastic stay at The Boathouse.

A very welcoming and comfortable property equipped with everything you could want for a family holiday. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and appliances (there was even an air fryer) and they had a large selection of books and board games suitable to keep everyone entertained. We would definitely stay here again.

Easy walking distance to Tenby but in a quiet area. We were very lucky with the weather and would be very happy to stay there again

This was our second holiday at The Boathouse, Tenby - booked through Sykes Cottages.

We love both the Boathouse and the beautiful setting of Tenby - only a 15 minute walk away. Facilities are brilliant and it truly is a very comfortable and extremely well-appointed home-from-home. Everything you can think of has been thoughtfully provided by the friendly hosts Tanya and Pete, and their kind and generous welcome is outstanding. We love it!

A lovely modern holiday property, one of best holiday homes we have stayed in.

A short walk into Tenby and plenty of parking at the Boathouse we couldn’t have asked for more. Tania was a wonderful host and allowed us to charge our electric vehicle which was an added benefit. If we return to Thanks for a great stay - highly recommended.

We had a briiliant week at the Boathouse, the facilities were 5 star, everything had been thought of.

Our hosts were super and very friendly. We particularly enjoyed spending time with Darcy & Rosie the owners friendly dogs. We would highly recomnend the Boathouse as the perfect spit to explore Tenby and the surrounding area.

The property was very clean and well equipped and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

The generous parking space adjacent to the property was a big advantage. It was handy having a supermarket within walking distance, and there was easy access to routes out of the town to explore the local area.

Picking the tiniest nit.

I would suggest the inclusion of of a non slip mat in the downstairs shower, as it provided to be a bit slippy at times. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Like home from home ,everything you needed it was there It was a clean , comfortable and a pleasure to stay in .

The hosts were a delight , very friendly and very free with their knowledge of Tenby. We were wanting a relaxing ,chilled out week’s holiday and that’s what we got..

Beautiful cottage, booked for my Mum's 80th birthday.

Weather was miserable on some days, but the cottage was lovely to relax in when it was pouring down with rain. Everything thought about regarding kitchen contents to make your stay comfortable. Loved meeting the owners dogs :-)

A great place to stay and within easy reach of the picturesque little seaside town of Tenby.

A “unique” cottage with most of the living space on the first floor, with lofty ceilings and enjoying oodles of daylight from lots of rooflights. Very nice little touches everywhere shows that the owners take pride in The Boathouse and want every guest to enjoy their stay! Thank you! We definitely want to return!

Good location for the Pembrokeshire Coast. Nice and clean inside.

nice and comfortable, well equipped, the only downside for us was not having a wardrobe in the bedrooms.

the bedroom nearer the bathroom ,a wardrobe would fit where the large chest of doors are- substitute this for a bedside table ( the wardrobe being in the space outside the 2 bedrooms) Other than that, a very nice property

We loved our stay at The Boathouse.

The property is in a nice secluded location, was immaculately clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. Just a 10 minute (hilly) walk into Tenby this was a great base for visiting locally and further afield. We can't wait to return!

Really lovely, comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen.

Two shower rooms, one with a bath, both with toilets. All fittings and furniture are modern and in keeping with the style of the building. Garden area well kept and generous size. Parking area conveniently next to the accommodation. All in all an excellent choice in a peaceful area of Tenby, but only a few minutes from all the facilities Tenby has to offer. Highly recommended.

We loved this property.

The downstairs shower was so powerful and both bathrooms were very nicely appointed. If you like a hard mattress then you’ll love the bed. For us we could have done with a topper. Great facilities including a dishwasher, washer and dryer - we didn’t need to use them but it’s nice to have the option. The two large sofas were extremely comfortable. The property was only about 5 minutes in the car to Tenby front. We would love to return.

This is an excellent property for holidaying in Tenby and exploring the wider Pembroke area.

This holiday home was faultless.

Well equipped and good location. Owners were also really lovely and very helpful. We have already booked for next year. 15 minute walk into town were there is beautiful beaches with nice bars and restaurants.

We had a lovely stay at The Boathouse last week.

The property was just as it said in the brochure, if not better, and the location was ideal as it was only about 15 minutes to walk into town. Although there are houses surrounding the property, it was a really quiet place to stay. It was amazing and we will definitely be back next year! As for the property owners, they were really helpful and friendly and always there if you needed help for anything.

Great holiday home, really well equipped, nice space including garden and a short walk to town/beach.

The PERFECT family getaway!

The Boathouse is a stunning holiday home that has everything you need. So we’ll equipped, spacious and the beds are extremely comfy. We visited for a week with our 2 children age 6 and 2. Everything was close by so we were able to do so much. The nearby beaches are beautiful and Folly Farm and Tenby Dinosaur Park are less than a 15 minutes drive. We will definitely book The Boathouse again if staying in Tenby.

Enjoyed our stay despite the weather.

Well presented and cosy. Close to the town centre so could walk in for meals and drinks as required.

The accommodation is only three years old and built to a high standard.

All the facilities are modern with quality furnishings. Tanya, our host, was very welcoming and helpful. The Boathouse is only about ten minutes walk from the centre of Tenby and has its own off-road parking space. We had a lovely week here and would thoroughly recommend it.

The internal accommodation itself was very comfortable and clean, had all the facilities you would expect and the hamper left for us was a nice touch.

We were however disappointed to find that the Boathouse was in fact in the very narrow back yard of the owners house on a narrow plot in between other houses. This felt very hemmed in and meant you had to drive past the owners very large front window/patio doors when leaving and returning which wasn’t very private and quite disconcerting. We were also disappointed that the patio/parking area had builders equipment stacked and rubbish bins scattered around. All in all, this made it all feel very underwhelming and quite depressing which was a shame as the accommodation itself was comfortable and pleasant.

We had a wonderful stay at The Boathouse.

So nice to find a detached, self-contained property so close to the beach. The property was very well-equipped, welcoming, cosy and warm. The Christmas tree and decorations were a lovely touch. We hope to visit again next year.

Very convenient location for parking and walking into the towns facilities.

Lovely cosy property to spend the days when torrential rain kept us in! An amazingly well appointed kitchen!!

The boathouse is a beautifully designed house.

The upstairs living area is really light and spacious with a vaulted ceiling and lots of Velux windows. The showers deliver loads of hot water. We had a really nice week. Plenty of space for parking, very friendly family who own the property (the Boathouse is in their back garden). Good location, Co-op is a few minutes walk away, centre of Tenby is a 10 min walk away. Highly recommended.

The property has ample parking and is within easy walking distance of the town, although not on the coast itself as its name - The Boathouse - might suggest. It proved to be an excellent base for our holiday.

The Boathouse was a modern, stylish property which was comfortable and well equipped .

Situated just ten minutes walk from the sea, it was perfect for cliff walking or sitting on one of Tenby's sandy beaches.

The Boathouse was a beautiful place to stay in.

All the mod cons you could possibly need. The accommodation was spotless and Tanya and her family were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you! The location of the Boathouse is great too. The town and the beaches in town are only a short walk away. There are also lots of things for families to do less than a 30 minutes drive away. Tenby is a beautiful part of the country to visit and hopefully we’ll be back one day!

A great house extremely well appointed and very comfortable.

Tanya the owner was nearby if there are any issues (there aren’t) would stay here again and fully recommend the Boathouse.

This is a great place for family with 2 children, if two couples, the two bedroom next to each other and have a door between them, you can hear each other talking, even with very low voice.

The whole cottage is super clean and comfortable, had all elements you need for your holiday!
