  • "Very grateful to the owner of the chalet."

It was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and a real home from home. We had a wonderful week, weather was very kind, found beautiful beaches and will definitely return.

  • "Shipwreck Chalet is comfortable accommodation in a great location."

The scenery is beautiful and so so quiet. We had a great holiday and used the chalet as a base to explore the area. The owners were very accommodating and offered advice when asked. The onsite facilities are basic and the pool very small, the slide was out of action.

  • "Unlike other chalets on the site it has a clear view of the bay and is very close to it."

I would suggest that a free standing toilet frame be made available. This would increase the number of potential booking and as a result additional profit.

  • "A little bit of TLC needed."

The shower will still run when you have pulled the switch. Had to put ant powder by the patio doors as we had an ant infestation. There were too many pots and pans so no where to put shopping. There is no lock on the toilet door, the double bedroom opposite the toilet door doesn't shut properly. Patio furniture could do with changing it’s very rusty. The garden area could do with the grass cutting. The view was amazing and the bed was comfortable and bedding was fresh and clean. The owner was lovely and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. I not recommend buying the passes for Park Dean unless you have young children as the pool is small and crowded the arcade is small, the restaurant is expensive. You have to pay extra to play the golf even though you have bought the. We really enjoyed the sea view from the living room. All in all a lovely stay.

  • "The chalet is in a great location offering great views."

It has a great layout, was clean and cosy and the kitchen is well equipped. Great communication with the owner who was friendly and helpful and advised ahead of arrival which room would be best suited for a travel cot and that a high chair would be available. It was unfortunate that there was a really strong smell of damp. I used shake and vac to try and mask the smell and opened windows where I could and wiped moisture from windows which built up overnight when heating was on. I think this will be less of an issue in summer months. Overall had a lovely stay and great location as a base to go to see the surrounding area.
