  • "Great location, very comfortable homely feeling house , everything we needed was there… we will stay again."

  • "Cannot fault Barafundle House, so comfortable with everything you need including a coffee machine which was a great surprise and welcome bonus."

5 mins walk from beach and everything on your doorstep. The only thing that I missed was having a separate shower attachment on the bath so I could wash my hair without taking a shower but hardly a deal breaker! Tenby is gorgeous and the beaches are breath-taking, very dog friendly as was Barafundle House with dark carpets and wooden floors and a welcome pack for us and the dog!

Tenby is a great place to stay and we will definitely be returning.

  • "Cottage was in great location - 2 minutes from beach, 2 mins from town centre, 2 mins from supermarket."

It was very well equipped and had useful baby gate for keeping dogs in the kitchen/outdoor area. Our first visit to Pembrokeshire - Tenby is fantastic; sandy beaches, blue calm sea and NO LITTER anywhere. Plenty of good restaurants. We travelled around the area to do 5 mile(ish) walks with dogs and coastline is stunning. One of our favourite UK holidays.

  • "Great holiday."

Cottage had everything we needed and great location. Lovely touch of Welsh cakes , milk and prosecco left for us. And goodies basket for the dog. Would definitely recommend and return.

  • "Barafundle House is an ideal holiday home close to the town and beaches."

The house is comfortable and spacious and the owners have provided everything you would need. There is a child / dog safe enclosed garden which is very private. The dog welcome pack was a lovely gesture. A lovely time was had by all. Thank you Phil and Rhian.

Really big house and garden, be perfect in the summer if you wanted to sit out the garden. Will definitely be going back!

  • "Comfortable house in a great central location within walking distance of the centre, sea, shops and restaurants."

The road is quiet and we found it easy to park locally. The house has everything you need and more and despite there being 7 of us and a dog it felt spacious and relaxing. Lovely little touches to welcome you such as milk, welsh cakes and fizz. We will definitely book the house again.

The house was warm and roomy and quiet at night.big king size bed was difficult to get off as it was so welcoming ! the only let down was the poor quality of the internal doors, particularly the latches which where years out of date and did nothing for this great property. would i go back?.......yes,and we cant wait.

About the location

TENBY

Pembroke 11 miles; Carmarthen 26 miles.

The bustling seaside resort of Tenby, known within Wales as “The Jewel in the Crown", is majestically positioned on the spectacularly beautiful 'Welsh Riviera'. Tenby is part of the stunning 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream and the county is one of the sunniest places in the UK. Enclosed by medieval walls, this beautiful town features a maze of cobbled streets, hosting an array of quirky shops, indoor locally-sourced food market, tea rooms and tempting restaurants. Almost three miles of stunning, Blue Flag-awarded beaches provide a variety of watersports, whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna on the coastal paths, something the competitors of the world-renowned Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in mid-September) haven’t time for! A boat trip to Caldey Island is recommended to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the monastery and island scenery, and you can enjoy seal and puffin sightings en-route! Explore the magnificent Tudor Merchant's House, or visit the nearby resorts of Saundersfoot or Manobier. For teens and younger visitors, Oakwood Theme Park provides a brilliant, fun-filled day out whilst Folly Farm offers everything from old-fashioned fairground rides to animals both local and exotic! The perfect location for an enjoyable and varied holiday.
