"The cottage is wonderful, so roomy and airy and with all the necessities, plus luxurious extras, ensuring the stay was comfortable."
We weren't sure there was going to be much to do around Llanelli and expected to drive to the Gower everyday, but the welcome pack highlighted key attractions in other directions and we have a great time exploring. The National Botanic Gardens were particularly great, and the Millennium Path within a stone's throw away was a lovely surprise.

"So many good things to say about Church Cottages."
Hosts: Sarah & Julian have the right balance. Quick to respond when asked. Friendly communication at start and end of holiday.
No 1 is spacious and coped easily with 2 adults and a dog and is located close to the beach. Four will be just as comfortable I'm sure.
Location is ideal for visiting, Swansea, The Gower, Mumbles, Tenby and various sites of interest and beauty.
If I had a gripe and this is not fault of S&J. I would like to have something to inform and guide me around Llanelli and its past. What we saw.and found was interesting but felt there was more to see.
Good luck S&J with cottages 2 & 3..

"Llanelli itself is a dump!"
It's dirty, litter-strewn and economically depressed. The two pubs within walking distance were both closed down and the other pubs in the area were horrible. As for the local beach, I have never seen such amounts of litter and plastic debris.
I know that these comments reflect on Llanelli, and not the cottage itself, but if I live to be 100 I never will go back there.

"What a privilege to be able to stay in such a wonderful church conversion."
The accommodation is superb with lots of space and real attention to detail. The location is also perfect for access to the coast path and very close to the train station. Parking is on street but there is plenty of space available. A real bonus was the fish and chip shop directly opposite the property.

"This is a pet-friendly cottage, we took our two hounds who loved the place."
Thoughtful owners left jar of dog treats on table - nice touch. However, there is no garden or patio with the property so any day/night “doggy comfort breaks” have to be done by a short walk. There are plenty of places to exercise your dog(s) virtually on the doorstep. This would not put us off returning. It’s a well appointed refurbishment in a great location, ideally situated for walking lengths of the Millennium Coat Path. Loved it.

"The property was previously a church, it had retained some of the original features and had a lovely atmosphere."
The facilities were comfortable and clean. The cottage welcomed dogs and were furnished with that in mind eg:- dog cage, easy clean floors. The master bed was comfy and the bedding smelt lovely, lovely en suite with a very interesting floor ? five minutes from the beach and lovely sea front. The owners had left a welcome pack which we enjoyed. The kitchen was very well equipped, including al the cleaning products needed, tea towels etc. The owner was easy to contact and very communicative. Will be back, a lovely snuggly place to stay whilst we visit our son and family.

"A lovely, comfortable conversion of the little church."
Well appointed kitchen with plenty of equipment. Milk, wine and chocolate in the fridge very thought full. Only downside, no outside space. However with miles of coastal path a five minute stroll away fresh air is easy to come by. There's also a friendly pub just up the road with outside seating for summer evenings.

"Hi All,
My partner and I (and Dog, Nellie) had a 4 night stay here from 14th to 18th March 2018."
One of the main factors for us was the fact it used to be a Church!
Was hoping it might be a bit spooky but actually, quite the opposite!
Very warm and welcoming cottage with lots of equipment to maintain a self sufficient stay. The decor is brilliant and detail is second to none. The cottage is very clean but still has that old property feel that is great. Spacious and cozy at the same time.
The feature staircase is superb as is the main bedroom bathroom flooring. You will see if you book.
The ONLY two things we can comment on are:
1. The bedroom skylights do not have any type of blind - If you are a light sleeper, bring some eye masks.
2. The shower pressure is not great.
The bin collection is times can be found here - http://www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/media/1213110/waste-collection-calendar2017-ws.pdf
As far as I can see, just put the bags outside before 6am on the particular days.
The Bucket & Spade Pub down the road (Out door, turn left, at the end on the right) does a GREAT breakfast from 10:00hrs for £4.95 and is huge! Definitely worth a visit.
We would stay here again.
For us, the main winner here is the actual property.
Its a CHURCH! How often can you stayed in a Church.
I did do some research into the Church and couldn't find much but if anyone can find it, please print it off and leave it in the guest book :)
Yours, Naomi, Daran and Nellie.

"A lovely property with everything you could possibly need, its in an ideal location to get anywhere."
The beach and coastal path 5 minute walk with some great views, theres a shop and pub a few doors down and a chip shop opposite.
The Church has been refurbished to a very high standard and really does deserve to be treated like its your own, its a large property with large lounge and a lovely Kitchen with downstairs toilet. The bathroom is stunning and I love the lighting, the property has 2 large bedrooms and the main bedroom has an ensuite.
We were visiting my daughter (and first grandson) who lives in Swansea, its been the coldest week I can ever remember lol but we really enjoyed our stay at The Church. We were made very welcome by the owners and we also found the locals very welcoming. We used local pub and shops and will certainly go again.
Highly recommend.

"The Church Cottage in Llanelli was amazing."
A beautifully converted church completed to an extremely high standard. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and have made the cottage very cosy and homely place. Only 5 minutes from the beach, the local pub and shop were even closer. In our party there were 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog, we had plenty of space and all loved it. A lovely place to stay for a relaxing holiday. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back!

"I was looking for a property specifically in Llanelli to visit family and found the Sykes website easy to use to find exactly what I was looking for."
The property was excellent value for money, extremely well decorated and gave us everything we needed. The owners have done a super job with this conversion and couldn't have been more helpful both in the lead up to our stay and whilst we were there. Everything has been thought of within the house, and the owner has taken great care to retain much of the character of the original chapel. We had a lovely weekend here and would love to go back. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
