Description

A well-presented detached stone cottage located on the edge of the historic Highland village of Archiestown.

Well-appointed throughout, this spacious stone cottage is ideal for a family orgroup of friends who want to discover the Moray and Speyside region.

This bright and warm Moray cottage has four lovely bedrooms, two on the ground floor and two upstairs, with a bathroom on each floor.

The kitchen is located in a large sun room at the front of this cottage in Archiestown, from where you can discover the fabulous views.

The split-level ground floor also has a beautifully presented sitting room with a welcoming woodburning stove and double doors leading out to the garden.

To the front of this Speyside cottage is a private lawned garden, a great place to relax before setting off on the day's adventures!

Archiestown is centrally positioned in Speyside on the Malt Whisky Trail, with up to ten distilleries in close proximity; so make sure you share the driving!

Running right from the doorstep of your Archiestown cottage, keen cyclists and walkers will adore the Speyside Way, an old railway line, which links the Moray Coast to the Grampian Mountains.

The River Spey is famous for fishing and permits are available locally, or if you prefer you will find no less than 22 golf courses in this area.

A fabulous location and a wonderful Speyside cottage!

The house was very comfortable having a bathroom upstairs and one downstairs was ideal really quiet location

The house has lots of space but did not live up to our expectations.

It has been neglected, with chipped paintwork throughout, old furniture, patio door dropped on the hinges when opened - not safe, no welcome pack - just WiFi code and leaflets, chipped and cracked china and glasses, no colander, sieve or broom for the kitchen, black mould in the washing machine dispenser drawer (which I washed before using), just one clothes airer (house for 8 persons), garden not child or dog safe with no fence between it and the working farm behind. We didn’t stay for the full week since it was not comfortable.

There is plenty of space in the property.

There are some big shops that are 20 minutes away by drive which are very convenient. The property has a lot of utensils, gaming boards and cooking equipment which makes the stay even more comfortable. The beds, baths and toilets are clean and very spacious. The owners are also very friendly and easy to contact. I would highly recommend the place.
