What a Gem

The accommodation was fantastic.

Lovely cottage well equipped and clean.

Parking adjacent the cottage was a great advantage. Town amenities within a short walk. The terraced garden was a joy to look out from the lounge patio doors including watching the birds nested in the box on the shed. This is a great location for exploring the Moray Firth coast. Would hope to return in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Spacious property. Able to park outside the door. Lovely garden which has plenty of sunny spots with a few chairs. Bathroom particularly good. Close to a Co-op and a couple of pubs/hotel bars. Easy to travel around the local area by bus although relatively expensive. Nice walks too.

Lovely cottage, beds very comfortable, well decorated and maintained.

Would definitely book in the future. Highly recommended.

We have been renting cottages for over 35yrs.

This one is absolutely wonderful , spotlessly clean, equipped to an exceptional standard and very welcoming. Beautiful garden, the owners have made it a joy to use, especially if you are a birdwatcher. Absolutely no negatives. And the bathtub is divine!!

This year is the 3rd year we have stayed in this fabulous cottage.

It’s well maintained and has everything you could possibly need to stay from towels,bed linen, crockery and cooking utensils,ironing board ect ect.It has a wonderful feel about it so welcoming. It also has a wood burning fire. The garden is fantastic and you see so much wildlife from butterflies to lots of species of birds it’s wonderful. It’s in a good position 5 minutes to the shops in Portsoy and 10 minutes to the 17 century harbour

The cottage was comfortable, attractive, clean, and very well equipped, especially the modern kitchen.

We had a very good week there. Portsoy is a lovely village with beautiful walks on the braes, a historic harbor, and the freshest fish I have ever eaten. The central location of the cottage was perfect, while also being secluded and very quiet (except for the seagulls). An added plus was the beautiful and extensive garden. We were very happy with our stay and recommend this property highly.

The best cottage we have stayed at.

The standard of appliances, crockery etc is first class. There is a folder with useful information regarding all appliances, how to use the wood burner and information regarding local emergency numbers if needed. The housekeeper stays next door and is available if needed. The garden has many areas where you can either enjoy the sun, shade or just the beautiful garden.

It was a wonderful stay in this cozy house.

We enjoyed the time very much. The beds were so comfortable and the children loved it very much too. For us as a family, it was perfect. The lovely neighbor gave us a basket with toy cars. Our boys were so delighted. What a warm-hearted woman. The bathroom with the freestanding bathtub was beautiful. All rooms are color-coordinated with each other. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped and many thanks for the milk, cereal and sweets :). The garden was also beautiful. We were able to observe many birds and butterflies there. About the area: the small town is cute and has everything you need. We went hiking, ate ice cream and enjoyed time at the beach. There's also a playground there. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Many thanks to David and Lynne. We'd love to come back.

Cannot fault this cosy well appointed cottage.

Perfectly placed near to all amenities and a short walk to the famous 17th century harbour it’s truly a home from home. Spotlessly clean, cosy and warm on arrival even with a wee welcome pack to get you started on your hols. Wish we could have stayed longer, can definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon.

This was our 2nd year at the cottage and we love it.

It has a very welcoming cosy feel about it and although the weather wasn’t has good as last year there is central heating or if you wish a wood fire burner (wood provided) The garden at the rear of the cottage is absolutely beautiful and cared for and we saw lots of birds and some butterflies.Towels and bed linen are provided infact all you need to do is buy food. Everything else is catered for. I definitely would recommend this beautiful cottage in the heart of Portsoy which is near to shops and the harbour,it’s just perfect.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. The location within Portsoy was perfect.

We found this cottage to be of very high standard.

It lacked for nothing. It felt very welcoming and very comfortable. It has a lovely garden which we were able to use on a couple days as the weather was very kind to us. There was a folder which explained how everything worked eg washing machine, cooker + how to collect the key ect. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty supply of bathroom towels. Very well thought out all round.

The holiday cottage is superb.

For the two of us that stayed there, the rooms are large and the facilities great. Everything was clean and the kitchen has everything. We wanted for nothing. The rear garden was lovely too. Nice to sit outside with a morning coffee. Parking was right outside the front door, so very easy to unload and load our cases and bags. This property is a two minute walk to the harbour and the same to the high street, great location. We will definitely book again.

We had a lovely stay for my mother's birthday, and the house was very clean, we loved how the garden was seperated into one main garden and one secret garden.

We would happily stay there again!

An absolutely beautiful and fully equipped cottage in Portsoy, a wonderful fishing village east of Elgin.

The cottage has everything you could wish for and things you didn't even know you needed! Very easy parking on a cul-de-sac, there's only Sally the next door neighbour who parks out there as well. Very easy 1 minute walk to a fab Chinese takeaway, Co-op, pub, bakers and the ice cream parlour! Another 5 minutes further on and you'll be at the harbour. By car, you're near to Banff, Cullen, Elgin, Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Aberdeen, Inverness and all surrounding attractions (Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle, Fort George etc). I'd really recommend this lovely cottage and it's fantastic location.

A perfect house for us.

Well equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean. Portsoy is perfectly situated to explore along the coast and the area. We would definitelyrecommend and return

This property has been finished and furnished to a very high standard and with great care.

Thought has gone into items that might be needed by guests. Not only the house but the garden is beautiful with two areas to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The folder left for guests with information regarding appliances is very straight forward and easy to follow. The log burner is an added bonus and very easy to use. We would seriously consider a return visit.
