Enveloped by breath-taking views across the Cairngorms National Park in Laggan near Newtonmore, Highlands is Coraldie, a charming, single-storey, eco-friendly shepherd's hut.

Enjoying a tranquil spot, ideal for hiking, cycling, and exploring, Coraldie offers a delightful base for a romantic getaway, complete with a wood-fire hot tub, studio-style layout, and the perfect, off-grid setting for stargazing.

Travel down the farm track and park up off-road, making your way on foot to your haven.

Step indoors to be greeted by the compact kitchenette, complete with a 2-ring hob, a fridge, and a kettle, along with some plush seating to unwind and dine with the woodburning stove alight.

Bask in your stunning surroundings by dining alfresco, gathered around the fire pit, before indulging in a long soak in the hot tub as the stars appear overhead; Coraldie in fact rests in one of the few places left in the British Isles that is classified a "dark Sky" area, making it a prime location for stargazing.

Catch some rest from the sumptuous king-size bed, before refreshing in the shower room, ready to explore the region.

For your nearest hub of amenities, head to Newtonmore by car, where you can stock up on the essentials and dine out, whilst a plethora of outdoor activities are within the vicinity, with the chance to visit the Laggan Wolftrax Mountain Biking Trail Centre, or hike towards the beautiful landscape of Pattack Falls.

From your doorstep, there are walks to the top of Creag na Sanais, the hill which rests behind the hut, or follow the stream down and walk along the River Spey, whilst wildlife spotting is possible from your abode, with the opportunity to spot Lapwing, Curlew, Red shanks, stonechat and Sand Martens to name a few, with regular visitors such as the Osprey fishing the River, Sea Eagles working the Crags above, and Red or Roe deer strolling alongside the hut.

Further attractions in the area include the Clan Macpherson Museum, and the Highland Folk Museum, both perfect for touring if you're hoping to brush up on your local history, whilst the Falls of Truim offers a further area to explore.

Both the Highland Wildlife Park and Uath Lochans are popular attractions to add to your itinerary, both rurally set and offering nature-filled afternoons, before returning home in time for sundowners.

Spend quality time with your loved one at Coraldie.
