  • "No prior knowledge of having to boil the water or use bottled water due to contamination."

If we had known we would not have booked. Sofa was so uncomfortable that we had to sit on the dining chairs. TV situated far too hogh - gave neck ache looking at it. Bed was rather uncomfortable. Nice location.

Thank you for your recent feedback from your stay last Summer. The water supply is now mains fed. Property Owner

  • "Peaceful setting with beautiful walks round the lochs in the tranquil woodland garden."

All the estate staff were really friendly, Francis especially so, and our dog was welcomed. A problem with the toilet in the cottage was resolved immediately. A highlight of the stay was John Christie's pottery showroom which he opened for us to browse at our leisure. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Thank you for your lovely comments and glad you made it to John’s pottery showroom, his pots are wonderful. We hope to see you again soon, thank you for being such great guests! Property Owner

  • "The 'Bungalow' was simply the perfect property and location for our weeks holiday in north Scotland."

It had everything we needed, was exceptionally clean, well-equipped and more than comfortable. Most importantly it was 'dog friendly'. Its location is simply stunning, and enjoyed exploring the fantastic private woods and grounds within the estate to which the Bungalow is located. Perfect for relaxing walks with dogs from the front door! The estate gives ideal easy access to all local amenities, and is the perfect base for exploring this part of Scotland. A fantastic property and location, and hope to return there again sometime very soon.

  • "We had a lovely stay and the gardens are beautiful abd the owners friendly."

It was close to so many places as well so we had plenty to do. I hadn't realised how close it was to other cottages (we like secluded places and quiet evenings!) but it wasn't an issue as it was very quiet whilst we were there. Some work going on around us as it's a working property but was fairly limited whilst we were around and didn't really impact at all.

Glad to hear you had a lovely stay and enjoyed the gardens. It was a pleasure to meet you and look forward to seeing you again at Blackhills. Property Owner

  • "The cosy cottage is a lovely break from the fast life."

We explored the area, especially loved going to Cullen. The dogs loved the beach and we loved exploring the massive vintage and antiques shop. The grounds around the cottage are wonderful with lots of different walks to discover around lakes and woodland. We loved playing tennis at the tennis court and my husband loved going for countryside runs in the mornings. You could easily spend your holiday entirely within the woodland grounds. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Always very happy to hear guests have enjoyed their stay at Blackhills and made the most of the tennis court and woodland garden. Thank you for your lovely review. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Property Owner
