Visit the fishing village of Findochty, which dates back to the 15th century and is therefore steeped in history and hosts various castles.
Buckie is just an extra few miles away from Portknockie and is renowned for the Scottish Dolphin Center and boasts a number of shops and supermarkets.

We enjoyed a lovely 2 week stay in this very comfortable apartment .
The property is well equipped and tastefully decorated . A 2 minute stroll to the end of the street leads to a wonderful view of the sea and Bow Fiddle Rock . We were lucky and saw the bottle nosed dolphins in the bay and we would recommend a short trip to Port Gordon to see the seals . We enjoyed fish and chips from the Portknockie fish and chip shop which is just round the corner from the apartment . If you like fish a visit to Jocks in McDuff is a must as its prices are low and the lobsters are to die for ! Portknockie is a great place to stay to explore the moray and Aberdeenshire coast line and fishing villages .
This is a lovely ground floor flat ideal for a couple.
The property is clean, fresh and equipped with everything you need. Literally a minute from the sea and stunning clifftop walks. Great base for exploring the North East of Scotland with so much to see and do within short driving distance. Thanks to Pete and Karen, John
This apartment was very welcoming, as we stepped in, with a lovely fresh smell, and it was always cosy - very comforting after being out in a very chilly wind.
The decor was very tasteful, and the property had obviously been recently painted. It was very well equipped, in all respects, and only yards from the track down to the beach and harbour. We would be happy to return.
