  • "Great house- spacious, comfortable and plenty space."

Amazing swimming pool and tennis court kept the whole family entertained. Great gardens for hide and seek and general lazing about. A house with history and makes a change from the all white and glass decor you tend to get in rentals these days. Ideal location for local places of interest and not far to Alton Towers. Probably best house we have stayed in with facilities to keep 6 adults, 4 kids and a dog happy. Highly recommend.

  • "It is a wonderful house, spacious and well equipped in a great location."

We were there for a multigenerational 70th family birthday weekend which it was perfect for. We made full use of all the facilities, swimming pool, tennis court, pool table, gardens, croquet and formal dining room. The only niggle was some of the showers are difficult to control the water temperature and have a poor flow.

  • "Had a fantastic week stay to celebrate a big birthday with family."

The house is massive and plenty of room for everyone. The pool was great and well maintained. We had great weather so made a lot of use of the big garden, lovely to see the sheep, hares and all the birds. The pool table and croquet set was a lot of fun too.

  • "Wonderful owners, smooth check-in and a impressive and generous welcome basket - thank you!"

The perfect property for 6 adults, 2 children, and two dogs. We all had a wonderful time! The house was surprisingly warm for its size which made us feel very comfortable. Lots of space in the house with several sitting areas - ideal with several family members. Well equipped kitchen and washing and dryer facilities in utility. Both the swimming pool and pool table were much enjoyed, the tennis court too! The dogs absolutely loved the grounds so thank you for being dog friendly. We appreciated the flexible set up with beds, and all slept well. Owners swift response to address issues was greatly appreciated. The showers can be unpredictable as several reviews mention, but I wouldn't let this put you off. It's a really spectacular house in a wonderful location. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

  • "A wonderful house for a large family gathering."

Very comfortable “ country house” experience. The welcome pack needs more clarity on what to do with sheets and towels etc on departure. Friendly and helpful owners.

  • "We had a wonderful “fake Christmas” at Parkfields House."

The swimming pool was beautifully warm, the gardens were immaculately maintained, and we even managed to play tennis in December thanks to the great weather. Despite having a three-month-old and four other children staying, the house felt peaceful and comfortable throughout. We would highly recommend Parkfields House.

  • "We had a super stay at Parkfields in December 25."

Even though all the rooms are sizable, they have made it feel like a cosy home. The hall with sweeping staircase and banisters are a joy. You can dine informally in the kitchen or as Lord and Lady in the dining room. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and I enjoyed sitting by the tree doing a jigsaw in the centre of the home. The pool and pool table were enjoyed by our youngsters. Great to have canal walks and Trentham Gardens nearby. Totally recommend staying here.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

It was every bit as wonderful as last year, comfortable and welcoming. The owners were incredibly attentive and couldn't have done more for us. We would highly recommend this property and would be delighted to return. The perfect place to celebrate special occasion!

    Mrs Jitka LLewellynNov 2025

  • "The house and location is nothing short of amazing."

It has everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and cutlery to go with it for some great meals in the evening. The house never felt chilly as the heating seems to be excellent. Would say as expected keep in mind water pressure if all the showers are on. This did not ruin the trip and to be expected with a house this age. The grounds around the house and swimming pool is amazing and well kept. Could not recommend this place enough. Looking to hopefully return next year and make it an annual thing for us ! As a side note, the owner / caretaker of the house is lovely, left a note and kept us informed of a minor issue they had identified before our arrival. If this is on your shortlist of places to book. I would say book it ! You won't regret it !
