  • "Lovely comfortable apartment."

Spacious with everything you might need. Small Tesco and Co-Op just around the corner. Lots to do and see locally. Highly recommended.

  • "Great spacious apartment, very comfortable for a group of friends or family."

Kitchen equipped with everything you need . Walk into Aldeburgh easy, and the Tesco below very handy and you don’t notice it’s there once in or on the balcony. Thanks for a great stay.

It is exceptionally clean and has everything you could need - Our grandchildren loved the penthouse so much - the study turned into a pretend Dr’s surgery ( appointments were no problem!) I would not hesitate to stay here again

  • "Spacious modern flat on two floors with views across to the sea in the distance (view of the car park also) Very well equipped."

House clean but crockery needed a clean before use. Very grateful to have a late checkout - thank you! A few maintenance issues….Top floor shower door broken and shower flow stops altogether if someone showering in room below. Sitting room curtains tricky to close - and some hooks broken. Also top floor bed needs a fitted sheet rather than a flat one that is too small for the bed…

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m pleased to hear that you enjoyed the space, found the property well equipped and appreciated the late checkout. Thank you for bringing the issues with the shower door and lounge curtain hooks to our attention and I can confirm that these were resolved followed your stay. We also appreciate your comments about the crockery and sheet size which have been fed back to housekeeping to ensure standards remain consistently high for all guests. With regard to the change in water pressure when multiple showers are used at the same time, this is due to the design of the plumbing installation. Additionally, the lounge curtains are not intended to be fully closed and there is a note on the front of the welcome file explaining this. Your feedback is valuable and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Property Owner

Sunsets were amazing. Also very quite at all times. So slept well. The apartment was also very clean and everything worked well eg good heating, hot water etc. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. It was our first time in Suffolk and we fell in love with Aldeburgh. Visited the Red House, had lots of walks, drove into Southwold and relaxed in the penthouse on rainy days. Just what we needed after a stressful year. We hope to return in Sping next year. Can't wait!

Tesco below was very convenient. The apartment was thoughtfully presented and surprised us with the amount of space - we were fortunate to have good weather and were able to enjoy the outside space and views. We would certainly be very happy to book again.

Many thanks to the owners and the people who look after the apartment. We had a lovely week and thank you for the very generous goodies.

  • "The penthouse was clean and comfortable."

It had everything we needed, however I did notice there was no microwave, which we probably would have used if we were there for longer or in cooler months. Despite being on top of tesco we couldn’t hear much noise from it. The view across the fields was lovely and we managed to see a beautiful sunset. We were about a 10 minute walk from the seafront and there was a large park and playing field behind the property.

Thank you for taking the time to share such positive comments on the cleanliness, comfort and views. Just for future there is a built in microwave above the main oven. We hope to welcome you again. Property Owner

  • "Excellent penthouse, very well equipped, comfortable and immaculate."

Three equally decent sized bedrooms and comfortable beds. Did get very warm, but plenty of windows to open and the balcony to cool down on! The shower in the main bathroom doesn’t drain properly so this needs to be addressed. Other than that, would throughly recommend. Great location and views too!

We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time at King George Penthouse and found the beds comfortable. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate you letting us know about the issue with the shower drain — this has since been addressed by our maintenance team. Had we been made aware during your stay, we would have been more than happy to resolve it promptly. We do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

Good quality equipment and lots of it. Thank you for welcome gifts much appreciated. Few little things the big plates stop dishwasher arm from going round . The balcony glass does need cleaning I did leave note for cleaners and main shower was not draining properly also key box very stiff we struggled with it and a spare set of keys would be very useful as we found we constantly were worried when putting shoes on in lobby we could get locked out of house door if we didn’t put latch on or have key but non of this affected us we thought you had a beautiful place and very well equipped and comfortable and sunset was amazing

It was expensive for a two night stay so great for couples who can share the cost. setting was beautiful and a stones throw away from main Aldeburgh street. Only gripe was checking out time. We thought for lots of people checking out at 10am was early. Had a little problem with the electric gate but apart from that it was fabulous!

Things that may help guests. The hob main elec switch was off and we spent quite a bit of time firstly trying to start the hob and then searching for the elec switch. Then the first saucepan- red large size, didn’t actually work on the hob. So needs removing. In the stairwell the light goes on and off throughout the night setting off the light in the outer hall. Shines into bedrooms and disturbs sleep so you need to shut doors. This really needs addressing. Having said that we did enjoy our holiday and stay

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at King George Penthouse. The kitchen appliance switches are on the wall above the worktop and are all labelled for ease. It is an induction hob so the correct sized pan for the ring size needs to be used. The appliance manuals are all located on the right hand drawer under the stairs (referred to in the Welcome file). The lights in the communal area outside the main flat door are on a motion sensor. Property Owner
