  • "We were delighted with the cottage."

It was comfortable and very warm. There were a couple of issues which Austin dealt with very promptly. He was easily contacted. However it must be noted that despite his best efforts it was not possible to get any reliable internet. The TV (brand new) was pixilating on most channels though bizarrely one channel on ITV was clear. We feel it ought to be mentioned to potential visitors beforehand. Otherwise we had a most enjoyable stay.

  • "The house is lovely."

The facilities were clean and it was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I have some feedback though. 1. The smell downstairs was awful. It hit us the moment we walked in and seemed to emanate from the cupboard on the far right in the kitchen. It really was most off putting and quite vile. 2. As it’s quite likely that you will be having largish parties to stay, larger cooking vessels would be great to have. We had to buy a couple of large disposable roasting tins. However the second point is minor in comparison to the dreadful smell. Perhaps leaving some more scented candles/diffusers might help if it can’t get sorted. All that said though, we loved cottage, enjoyed reading about its history and had a very lovely time so thank you.

Property would benefit with local amenities info pack. Updated TV remote & more outside lighting would help.

  • "Church Farmhouse is a lovely house in the Suffolk countryside, beautifully furnished, well equipped and very comfortable with adaptable living areas to suit our family group."

The games room was a great amenity for us to enjoy too. The house was very clean when we arrived and Janet and David (the housekeepers) were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely hope to book again in the future.

  • "The property is quite superb."

It was so lovely not to have everything brand new. It felt like we had stepped back in time but with everything inside you could wish for. The grounds are amazing especially for my little dog.nwe were blessed with some warm days and enjoyed sitting outside in the warm sunshine and peaceful surroundings. Absolutely nothing to criticise at all apart from maybe a 2nd tv maybe in the main bedroom. We will be back for sure. 14 days of the best sleep I've ever had and there was a calmness to the property. I have recommended it to some friends already. It was a complete pleasure to stay in such a wonderful family house.

The carpet in the day room is very rough- not nice to walk on at all.

  • "What a great place to stay!"

An amazing house, beautiful location, good weather. Jannet the housekeeper came round when we asked for help, she was great, very helpful. Great facilities, well equipped, comfortable, and loads of fun to be had in the games room. We had such good weather at the end of our week, the only thing we could have added was an outdoor dining table.

  • "Beautiful house and grounds."

The weather wasn’t kind but we were happy to stay on-site for most of the week. Plenty of space to play outdoor games in between the showers, and games room and tv kept all of us occupied when the rain came. The house was very clean and there was plenty of space to store food when our shopping delivery arrived. Will be back again next year!

! The games room went down a treat as we had rain while we were there. Fully equiped kitchen so had huge fry up and all the decor and furniture suits the place, lovely

  • "What a lovely cottage."

We had a great time. The beds were so comfortable. My husband was very ill last year and we had to cancel all our plans. So this was our first break away and it was absolutely great. Our children joined us for the weekend and then we had the rest of the week to ourselves. Would highly recommend, the wildlife is amazing very relaxing break

  • "Lovely house to stay in unfortunately road outside became flooded and were unable to get out for a short time."

During the heavy rain/flooding drainage smell evident in the kitchen and downstairs loo became difficult to flush. Burners were advertised but no wood easily available but not a problem to us. Nice place to stay but would not book again during wet season.

  • "We had a great week at Church Farmhouse ."

It has the real wow factor and we definitely recommend it if you’re visiting with friends ( like we did ) , family or bigger groups .It was extremely well equipped and it was immaculate when we arrived . The immediate area is beautiful and very quiet with lovely walks on the doorstep , however its only 30 odd minutes drive to Southwold and Aldeburgh . Nearby Halesworth has lovely shops and a large Coop but if you want the larger ( and cheaper ! ) supermarkets you’ll need to travel a bit further . There are some lovely pubs close by but if you want to get into the Huntingfield Arms in the nearby village ( and a short walk way from the house ) we recommend you book well ahead as we couldn’t get in ! We certainly hope to visit again .

The weather was wet at times and chilly but the house was cosy despite a somewhat musty smell - but it’s an old house - it would have been better had the heating been on but this is not possible in July!!

  • "This was my second stay at Church Farmhouse and it was every bit as good as the first!"

It’s a wonderful place to spend time relaxing with my adult children and their partners. The setting is so peaceful and quiet, and the house itself is beautifully renovated. It’s also spacious enough for people to do their own thing whether in one of the sitting rooms, games room or outside in the lovely sunny garden. I’d thoroughly recommend staying here. I’ll certainly be back next year!

There is plenty of space for a family to enjoy a break with comfortable beds and roomy well equipped bathrooms. The games room is great for gathering in the evening after the days activities. We were greeted on arrival by the lady owner and were pleased to see her again on the morning we came home, thank you for the warm welcome and the Prosecco and carrot cake. Would love to visit again in summertime.

  • "Church House was beautiful surrounded by countryside views and walks."

We loved reading about the history of the house and its links to Anne of Cleaves. We were well looked after by Janet (house keeper) and on arrival we found all the essentials were there, even milk, a delicious cake and fizz to get our holiday started. The games room was a wonderful addition to the property which made evenings and wetter days even better (especially with our son on crutches, long walks were not possible). The Huntingfield Arms is definitely worth a visit and the food served was lovely. We loved the space not only outside but inside too and would gladly return in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay!
